He started something like 12 of the first 14 games of 2019/2020 and proved to the world we needed to buy Bruno. Not as a regular starter.

Okay say you’re right, but it doesn’t address my original point. He’s no where near the quality required at United but that doesn’t mean he cannot be effective for a team with different objectives. He started something like 12 of the first 14 games of 2019/2020 and proved to the world we needed to buy Bruno.
We clearly have different interpretations of the word 'excel'. He could probably do ok for a lower half PL to upper championship club but I really don't care what he does as long as we get a half decent price for him. He’s not United quality is he? Have you played team sports to a reasonable level? If you have you’ll understand that your mind and body matures with the right support and experience. No reason why he can’t make an impact in a team with different ambitions.

How did he prove we needed Bruno? He wasn’t playing where Bruno plays? Lingard was and he proved we needed Bruno. He started something like 12 of the first 14 games of 2019/2020 and proved to the world we needed to buy Bruno.
He played a lot there in the first half of that season, at least as much as Lingard. Over the entire season he played more league games than Lingard albeit a small number of them were from the right or deeper. How did he prove we needed Bruno? He wasn’t playing where Bruno plays? Well my recollection was he played a fair bit at AM during that run of starts and wasn't great so I just had a look and he was just under half the time at AM and about the same on the wing with one or two at CM. Let's say it was a joint effort. How did he prove we needed Bruno? He wasn’t playing where Bruno plays? Lingard was and he proved we needed Bruno.
Yep. The only reason we can't sell the others is the wages primarily.I’ll never understand Utd fans thinking we couldn’t give our players away. Lower clubs will always try to sign bigger clubs players.
if anyone dared mention we would be getting 35m plus (maybe) for Perreira and James they’d have been laughed out of the forum
They both did... He definitely had a spell as the no.10How did he prove we needed Bruno? He wasn’t playing where Bruno plays? Lingard was and he proved we needed Bruno.
In the voice of Emperor Palpatine:
That's a win-win-win scenario for everyone involved. Fulham get a good player for their level, we get decent money and Pereira gets to compete at a higher standard in the premier league rather than the Brazilian league.
I think the issue usually is the wages that our players are on, which, for the lesser profile players like your Dan James or Andreas, becomes something of an issue with respect to a buying club negotiating wages relative to the quality of the player, so even if there is interest there often is difficulty in finding a wage that suits the player relative to their United wage, unless they are dead set on leaving.I’ll never understand Utd fans thinking we couldn’t give our players away. Please United don’t get greedy. Sell
Think Erickson is better then both Fred & McTominey. Games where we will have alot of possession Erickson can make creative passes and is more intelligent.Do we really need Eriksen? On a free it's great and all, but we already have like 2 or 3 CMs that more or less fit his profile. What we need is a DM to play alongside De Jong and I'm not seeing any links whatsoever.
Yeah, take that, he’s not/unlikely to be playing for us. Maybe add a small sell on % clause (just in case he turns out better than expected and gets sold for a higher price)Please United don’t get greedy. Sell
Did Romano have sex with your girlfriend or something? So so true. Note how he's piped up just after a few big outlets have gone big on the story.
He's such a fraud and yet everyone thinks he's this inside info transfer guru.
I mean his Twitter picture is him on the phone, for what I'm sure is a very important piece of information. Seems legit. So so true. Note how he's piped up just after a few big outlets have gone big on the story.

And we were around top 8. He is good enough for a club aiming to avoid relegation or aiming to be top 12. I don't know why people are so surprised that a PL team can offer 10 millions for a PL proven player in his best years. He started something like 12 of the first 14 games of 2019/2020 and proved to the world we needed to buy Bruno.
Hilarious how he was the absolute darling on the Caf at one point. Every manager was an absolute tool for not playing him. Now he’s considered the biggest waste of space ever.
Don't you know that players get closer and closer to elite level in the minds of some supporters the longer the stay on the bench? It happens everywhereHilarious how he was the absolute darling on the Caf at one point. Every manager was an absolute tool for not playing him. Now he’s considered the biggest waste of space ever.
I was responding to someone stating he'd not been given a run of games. He was and he didn't do a huge amount. The surprise is because up until this point nobody seemed willing to take him off our hands for anywhere close to a reasonable price. And we were around top 8. The majority of fans have 0 patience (which I understand). De Jong was never going to be a quick deal and he won't even join the squad until mid July, but more importantly the window has just opened. I get why fans are impatient having been burnt before, but jeez give the new guys the window to see what they can do. If at the end of the window or first game of the season we have DeJong, Antony and Eriksen, not getting them all on July 1st will not even be remembered.Remember last week when folk wanted De Jong signed for £80m and Pereira sold for £4m... And accused the board of incompetence because of fans impatience
Agreed. But unfortunately, come 1st June 2023 when we've not signed anyone that window, people will forget any 'good' business we did this year and say "here we go again, drag our heels before paying what the club wants on deadline day. It's Fellaini all over again. Shambles"The majority of fans have 0 patience (which I understand).
