How many more times will this same tweet be posted.
Loads because people get off on grief on this forum, junkies of disappointment its very bizarre.

We do live in a world now where people support players not teams so it shouldn't be surprising.

Not panicking till the UK media report something.
If Chelsea are really interested in him however that's a cause for worry. They'll definitely pay the fee possibly all up front and CL football/London factor makes them a more attractive prospect for De Jong.
Utd have to speed things up or walk away if the obstacles are too big to overcome. Can't waste more time

You have to laugh or you'd cry at this point. I am sure the positive army will be here soon to spread the word of the Glazers though.

A bit of a coincidence it’s Chelsea they’ve used and they’re currently the club running round trying to hijack other clubs deals. Stinks of Barca using the Spanish press to try and force Utd into coughing up that £17m they owe de Jong in wages. Also even if it is true Chelsea can kiss goodbye to signing Ronaldo if they pull this shit.

They can guarantee him CL football for this season. Why would you sign a 5-year contract with such short term thinking? Not to mention that United will always be the bigger club, ETH is not the only attraction vs Chelsea.
Or he might just hedge his bets on a club that has won the CL and PL twice since we last did. Won the club World Cup. Europa league. Super cup and FA cup since we last won a trophy at all.

Plus live in London and look at joining a team in the CL that is signing Sterling and Potentially Ronaldo and De Ligt to strengthen an already better squad than ours.

What's funny is that they tried the Laporta pressure tactics ("Frenkie will stay, I will do everything in my power to keep him") and that failed, so they're trying to drum up interest from Chelsea (links only in Spanish media, none of the English ones picked it up).

If they're really interested, it'll take a 60-70M from them and they still have to deal with paying Frenkie's outstanding wages etc.

They want Sterling (50M), CB (70M+ for De Ligt / 50-60M for Kounde), RW (60M for Raphinha / others) and Ronaldo (15M + wages). That's like ~250M in a single window and a ton of new wages (None of Sterling, Ronaldo, De Ligt, FdJ will be on low wages).

I still don't see it but maybe it's possible.

We have ZERO room in our midfield for a player of De John’s profile at the moment. You guys need to calm down.

This is Barca putting pressure in United to pay what they want you to pay.

I'm sure I've seen this before... with someone else? Was it Bruno... dragging our heels, was linked with someone else and we had him done in about 24 hours

Chelsea stories no doubt generated by Barcelona to get more money off Utd. After all Barcelona still owe FDJ something like €17mil in back wages.

Besides Chelsea have jorginho. You arent going to have two deep lying playmakers in the same team.

Weird bonkers take. De Jong probably wouldn't be this close to signing us without Ten Hag. How are you even possibly making this out to be his fault?
Close what? How is this any way close? Reports yesterday said he didn’t want to come here but redcafe sleuths told me we wouldn’t be negotiating with Barca if we didn’t know he wanted to come. Well if he goes to Chelsea then how true was this?
It’s apparently been close since the middle of May, talk about a bonkers take.
Feck me I called this many weeks ago, this shouldn’t be a surprise to anybody yet here we are.
Without Ten Hag we would have been after more attainable targets, this is the player he wants and why we are stuck chasing him. He doesn’t have ground to stand on being furious with the club when it’s every bit on him.

This is the only forum where Sterling is seen as a world beater, in actual reality if you talk to match going city fan's majority are delighted to see the back of him, its beyond boring people sprouting this crap.

Chelsea bringing in De Ligt, Sterling, De Jong and Ronaldo. Wow. That's what a club with ambition looks like, and they hardly have more resources than United. Glazers are slowly but surely killing the club.
They’ve signed 0 (zero) of these players by the way.

Is this your thoughts or a direct quote from the Youtube comments of a United Stand video?

Regardless of how serious Chelsea's interest is, this is why you always use your scout network to have alternative targets. No individual target can ever be fully guaranteed of being successfully achieved, yet we seem to have gone into this summer with an attitude of "ETH wants this player so we get them", and there is no backup plan.

Appreciate it mate, but don't come in here with your rational head and your rational thoughts... They are NOT welcome.

All reports are we will accept him leaving and only Chelsea want him.
Don't want to derail the thread with Ronaldo discussions, however all stories I've seen have said Boehly doesn't even know yet whether Tuchel would want Ronaldo and Chelsea have other priorities.

Could happen later on in the summer, but it's definitely not a given.

So if we end up signing him you'll recognize that Murtough and co know what they're doing and that you just like whining online?
