Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar.
He's the richest monarch in the world and the creepiest. Makes Andrew seem tame and mild-mannered.
Someone here in the Caf, posted a video of his pet poodle's birthday party like 10 years ago. Those were the days when one could post such videos.
Anyway, his wife then was topless, singing Happy Birthday to the poodle and walking by the pool with the servants standing around. Like the last days of Nero.

Our midfield and forwards . Good thing we got 5 CBs and are looking to buy our 6th though.

We arent exactly stacked with talented wingers .
I understand but for the preseason Amad, Elanga, Rashford and Sancho is not enough? You could make 2 teams. (Rashford - Martial - Sancho against Elanga - Garnacho - Amad). What will Chong do? Warming up the goalkeepers?

Bow to a picture of him*. His dad was a piece of work too just had better pr. Good for the outside world to get a glimpse of what thailand really is underneath the tourist trap; an authoritarian government run by a monarchy military axis.

So next time any united fan bitches about oil money just remember our team is happy to pimp itself out to anyone.
That’s correct especially about propaganda. If you even look at his background carefully, it would be another way of saying.

I hope we don't suffer a bad loss, it may be pre-season but it will ramp up the negativity surrounding our preparation for the new season ten fold and further weaken our position in transfer negotiations with other clubs.

If United fans bash on ETH after a pre-season game after barely a few weeks training then they deserve the misery that resides in their heads.

I thought the deal was agreed in principle a week ago...why taken so long....its just a free transfer...
Supposedly we agreed he could take a longer break and we were going to finish things up during the tour, it was not the plan to have him out there for some reason, maybe giving him time to relocate his family or whatever. The slightly concerning bit is Thomas Frank is literally stalking him and chuntering to the media that until he sees a signed contract he is not giving up hope of taking him back to Brentford. Since his pathetic meltdown when we beat them I have begun to notice that Frank is a pretty unbalanced and genuinely creepy character.

Until we clear the deadwood there are about 7 players in front of him so even with rotation he would not play much, add in that his loan last season was pretty much the definition of underwhelming and he is currently miles away from the first team.
That's fair but i figured hed have been in first team training with the squad - hopefully he gets a better loan this year

I fully expect him to be in the Championship this year and hopefully get a proper run of games, His spells with Derby and Birmingham both were blighted by injuries and then inconsistent form, he could do with a good solid 12 months at a proper team like Garner just had at Forest. I hope and expect we will get good deals sorted for a number of our younger players this time around so we can either integrate them into the squad next year a la Mason Mount or generate decent fees as we have seen the dippers do repeatedly and are about to do again with Neco Williams.

He lives by a lake just outside Munich and hardly ever lowers himself to visit the country of which he is monarch. His presence in Germany is a considerable embarrassment to that government, who are looking for ways to nail him over his dodgy tax affairs.

His father may not have been an altogether satisfactory person, but there’s no doubt he was loved and revered by huge numbers of his citizens. This chap is widely hated, not least because he spends most of his time in Germany; he only stays in power because he’s a useful figurehead for the business and military elite.

Being in Bangkok I thought it might be a nice opportunity to finally experience some real football atmosphere again and watch the game live in the Rajamangala stadium.
Well until I learnt about the ticket prices they are asking for pre season friendly.

https://www.nationthailand.com/life/40012604

140 USD for the cheapest ticket? Are they totally out of their mind. Tickets going up to 700 USD.
Football is really f***ed.

You can save that money and fly to OT for that.

Hope that means Jones & Williams are soon to leave.

That squad really is dreadful. 2 midfielders and an attacker at least need adding, and that's without Martial leaving (as he absolutely should on recent form, seems unlikely now of course).

Lots of work on for the transfer team. On the bright side it'll be nice to see some of these youngsters in action.

I have hopes some of Garner / Mejbri / Amad / Garnacho & Pellestri can play a role this year under ETH.

Hard to see how we can compete unless we spend £250m+, as was always going to be the case after the shitshow that was last season. Abysmal business so far, could be our worst season since the 80's.

That's the spirit.

Thank God our manager hasn't this mindset that lot of our fans have, and is confident going ahead.

Those prices can't be real. Over 100 pounds for the cheapest ticket ?
Yeah it's pretty nuts but still sold out quite fast. The two teams are being paid ridiculous peas to come and this is the organizers attempt to make some of it back. Probably get a bunch of empty seats at the games especially in the cheapest seats. Not to mention its gonna be a covid super spreader for sure.

Are you sure it's sold out? The Rajamangala stadium got a capacity of over 50k seats.
I am living in Bangkok for over 20 years and never seen this place sold out.

Also huge parts of stadium aren't covered and it's rainy season in Bangkok. Good luck if there will be a typical Bangkok downpour during the game.

The tickets that went on general sale sold out pretty fast iirc. They also have a quota for sponsors and there was some controversy with a thai streamer(pimrypie) who claimed to have 30,000 tickets. Yeah the rain could be a big issue too. Anything and everything for the almighty deniro.

I can confirm it has not sold out. There's still bunch of unsold tickets that recently a Thai 'influencer' got her hands on and was reselling them at a discount. Turns out these were apparently the quotas for the two clubs to sell elsewhere (not by the promoters in Thailand). I wouldn't be surprised if they end up being given away or sold at a heavy discount. Might have quite a few empty seats for the match. A shit show all round

It looks like our summer business this season will be : Malacia, Martinez, FDJ, Eriksen and Antony.

So our squad will look like this :

Goalkeepers

David De Gea
Tom Heaton

Defenders

Diogo Dalot
Ethan Laird
Raphael Varane
Lisandro Martinez
Victor Lindelof
Harry Maguire
Tyrell Malacia
Luke Shaw

Midfielders

Bruno Fernandes
Fred
Frenkie De Jong
Christian Eriksen
James Garner
Hannibal Mejbri
Scott McTominay
Donny van de Beek

Forwards

Anthony Martial
Marcus Rashford
Jadon Sancho
Antony
Anthony Elanga
Alejandro Garnacho
IF we get those players it won't be too bad. Big IF. Still some weaknesses, like RB. Wonder if Malacia can swap flanks?

I don't see how ETH is going to bench Maguire, but I wish he would.
Bruno as a false 9? 4231? 3 CBs?

VDB in the middle could work, he'd have players around him he could know what to expect them to do, as opposed to when we played him and he looked around and no one understood the concept of a 1-2/give-n-go pass, no one moved into space. I'm tempted to think Martial could thrive as a 9 in ETH's system, then drop Bruno into the middle, but that is expecting ETH to work miracle with the former shell of Martial, who looks like he doesn't want to play football anymore. I really hope Garner gets a fair amount of time to show he can handle this level. I don't see any room for McFred if we get those players mooted.

Guessing ETH's lineups is going to be fun/exhausting!

If you have any info regarding to the discounted price and where to buy please post here.
Up to a 1000 THB I would pay but no more.

Malacia at right back? He’s a left back. Martinez is left footed so would be LCB.

Sure.

Cavani who played what, 5 games?
Pogba who spent half the season in Dubai.
Matić who was shit in 9 out of 10 games.
Greenwood? Come on.

Yes, Ronaldo is all that's left of your list of players.....and why the feck would we want him on tour when he doesn't want to play.
And he's also nearly 40.

The clearout is good. It's reseting.

And we need more of that!
Feck me that defender list - at least 5 should feck off for good.

+ Martial.
It's only good if we replace them with quality, so far we've not signed a single midfielder or attacker. At the moment it's dissolving rather than resetting.

It will be a draw or narrow defeat. It’s a scripted exhibition.
