A shock 1-0 win for Fulham will do nicely, thank you very much. With Mr. Pre-season Pierlo scoring it.

Performance tonight against Chelsea matters more than the result I think. Look bad and it gives the journos an opportunity to berate us and Lampard again and that's the last thing this team needs.

Arsenal's attack is very dynamic and exciting and not that far off Liverpool and City's. Their midfield is shit though and that's why they'll struggle for top 4 like us (ours is worse of course).
Alright, steady on

I mean… Yes?
What quadruple was that? At the end of gameweek 6 was the last time Liverpool were on top of the table. Even on the final day when City left it very late dippers weren't winning the league at any point.

Man Utd spent more days at the top of the table than Liverpool did.

I agree with you. I do think that if Sancho doesn't perform this season it will impact his reputation heavily but his performances in the Bundesliga were exceptional and of a level Saka hasn't reached before.
Oh for sure, not arguing that he has to perform. But I'm jus entirely willing to write off last season and put it on the team disaster as I think even if Mbappe or Messi or de Bruyne or anyone came last season, that they would have struggled hard in that team last year (not all at once of course... Just 1 of them instead of sancho). It was a hopeless task, so last season is useless to look at and I still see Sancho as the guy who tore up the Bundesliga and was among the very best players with Lewandowski, more important to Dortmund than Haaland, setting productivity records, being the most productive player before the age 20 that we've seen in the modern football era along with Mbappe, and all that while being absolutely integral to Dortmunds build up play as well - provided he's used correctly.

England is easy for me to write off too, as the system just doesn't suit Sancho at all and Southgate cares more about defensive qualities than on the ball. It doesn't translate into what a big club wants because England play more like Atletico and not what I'd want United to play like.

If Sancho struggles again this year, I'll concede for sure. But to me, he's a top top player with absolute world class potential, whereas Saka is a good young player with very good potential, but not world class potential. As said, peak Rashford is the level where I see Saka's ceiling. Sancho has already surpassed peak Rashford, before he turned 20.

Are you surprised he ended up at Fulham rather than a top half club?

I wouldn't have minded him as a Matic replacement based on the very little I saw of him.

Has the scoreboard always been on the bottom left during a Bt sport broadcast?

Very, I would have rather he went to Wolves as he also had that offer but he chose the Fulham project.

Im assuming he's using them as a trampoline to jump to a top 6 club.

I hope he does well! I wish he stayed with us.

Liverpool strength in depth looks pretty thin today
Yeah, Madley wouldn't have been their first choice, but they can't play Michael Oliver in every game.

Arsenal fans will be watching this with huge hope so far. Their temporary stop at the top of the table could last at least 3 more hours

Expected Liverpool to spend on upgrading the third man in cm this summer, surely would’ve if not for Mane

Fulham will be gassed playing with this urgency, but Liverpool will just crack open the inhalers at half time and with 4 nil

Can't see anything other than a Liverpool win but if they drop points the excuses will explode out of the mouths of the commetariat.

A bit ropey here Liverpool. They're doing with Firmino what we're doing with Martial. Hoping to reignite past fires. Mane will be a huge miss I think.
