Arnautovic and Rabiot are good stop-gaps for Ajax and Eredivisie, if only we had a proper DOF to explain this to Ten Hag.

Funnily enough the ball ache is probably negotiating with his mother
It should be pretty easy to negotiate this contract. 200k per week, sign on fee, washing machine, tumble dryer and a knitting kit.

Just seen this. Can someone paint him in a good picture, I need some hope.
Is he the kind of dm/cm that will thrive at Ten Hags United? Can he tackle, pass and shoot? Does he have a really big baguette?

Woodward was better than this. We have bigger frauds in charge now.

Seriously, would it be better to sign no one than buy Rabiot? I think probably yes.

Tbf to him he went for the money. He was their best player at the time.
Tells a lot about his "character" isn't it? SO much ambition that he preferred to play out his prime years in China.

I know nothing about this guy but the consensus seems to be that he is an average player?

What happened to signing the right targets and not just anyone?

Its basically this isn't it? Nobody really wants this transfer to happen. However, if the alternative is watching Fred and McTominay we'll swallow it.

Doesn't speak to any sort of strategic plan to overhaul the squad though.

Which makes it worse. He was supposed to be a target a while ago and we only make an offer now. It's not a panic move, it's a dumbass move.
The fact that we were apparently linked to him a while back, yet put a bid in today, having been linked with De Jong all summer, screams of a panic move. A move that may not be that bad, but a panic, nevertheless.

It’s an alternative. Maybe they got word now that there’s 0 chance of it happening, whereas before it was a lukewarm chance and held out until the last possible minute.

If it was Tielemans, you’d not claim it was a panic buy but astute football business
