As I have said before the problem with him is that he has high expectations and a winners mentality which the majority of our squad struggles to adhere to.

It just doesn't make sense to keep him.

His legs aren't going to get magically better. He can't run anymore.
Joking? He was moving better than the likes of Sancho who are 2 decades younger and essentially half his age.

Ronaldo runs more KM per game with United than he did in Real Madrid and people say his legs are gone. Never understood that. More so, his top speed is pretty much the same and the number of sprints he does per game is down by 3-4.

Not joking.

He's going to get worse and worse with his stamina.

We need to move on.

He barely ran in the minutes he was on the field.

Well yeah his physical level will continue to finish with age but I don’t agree with the notion that his legs are gone. Far from it.

Agreed. He really isn’t much worse physically than his last years at Madrid.

Think I get his point now. Any sane footballer will want to get the hell out of Man United at our current state, especially if they want to win something.

Pretty sure deep down he regrets not taking the City offer.

So the problem is with him and not with the other players? I had to double check to see if I wasn't in the Norwich forum! Isn't that what United is supposed to be? A club with expectations and winning mentality?

I was being sarcastic..

People call him the problem, hence why I am saying his problem is that he has high expectations and the rest cannot match his ambitions. No one else matches his ambitions

He was booed warming up
I was in north east quadrant yesterday so they were other end of the pitch warming up, so didn't hear it mate. His reception when he come on was undeserved to be polite. We need to start acting like a big club again and stop it with it commercial first decisions like bringing CR7 back. These latest 'targets' tell us everything about what's wrong with the club...

Ironically, the club is not big enough for this guy at 37 right now. At least that's what he thinks.

They brought him back so that he could not join the city. Some people, including himself, thought the club was on the up and he would help.

Can't blame anyone getting fed up at this point with how the club has been running for a while and more so this season with so many promises (BS again). Players are different from the fans who do not have to think about their career.

He sticks out like a sore thumb in the dressing room.

Have we floated the idea of sending Ronny to Madrid (Real) on a free and getting Camavinga on loan with an option to buy ?

Undeserved ? We were losing and needed every striker or attacking player on our side

If you're happy to let a player (any player) to treat the club with the disrespect that this guy has over the summer, then crack on mate.

I for one, won't be cheering him. How's about the club has had a bad season, as an experienced player, and someone who wants the club back on top, act like that, rather than a petulant child - this guy is 37 years old - he needs to grow the feck up.

He has known for a 'long' time there was no Champions League this season, but waits until halfway through the transfer window to tell the club what he wants.

I will happily cheer Garnacho & Elanga when coming on, because they 'DESERVE' nothing but our best wishes as fans.

How's about some pride and self-respect.

I was at the stretford end and everyone cheered him on when he came out. I guess they should all crack on.

Absolutely. People pay their money they can do what they want. I don't feel like he has manchester uniteds best interest at heart, and I won't support/cheer anyone who acts like he has.

Better rid of him seriously

So when he came on second half he was interested in scoring an own goal? On game day you cheer players.

Ay, what do you mean own goal, are you pissed man

He shouldn't be at the club full stop.

It was a typical Utd commercial decision to bring him back, he scores goals, but it's at the expense of him being the star of the show, it's not benefiting us as a team, the fact is collectively we scored more goals the year before he joined.

He is not the player he once was, he dumped us for Real Madrid in his prime, and now he has come back for a swansong, along with all the baggage that comes with him. He really just ain't worth the bother, same as he's not bothered about us (hence his agent spending all summer engineering a move), and seemingly all other CL clubs agree, as they are hardly falling over themselves to sign him.

He is a prima donna, who is more trouble than he is worth at this stage, especially for team functioning how EtH wants us to function, i.e. high press/intensity.

I wont be sad to see him go, IF he gets a move.

So, did the media take a Ronaldo break all of sudden :smirk:
I think it's basically done and dusted at this point. Ronaldo can't find a club, we can't find a striker, he'll play for us next season and then we'll let him go on a free.

I think the new football structure won’t act like that anymore. The problem is he is under the contract and we simply can’t move him away.

Hopefully you're right pal, but if the last 48 hours are anything to go by, then not holding out much hope..

Over last 48 hours, my interpretation is that ETH has drawn his line that we need to have an extra forward able to play CF no matter if Ronaldo stays or not.

Yes that’s the only problem that Ronaldo has. Flawless otherwise

We should let him go.

A lot of fans don't want him around, the club is in disarray and isn't ambitious and he doesn't want to be here + will cause issues if it goes to a mess this season.

Come to a reasonable conclusion and let him go for a small fee.

I'm sure if the fee was a nominal/symbolic fee of around £2-3m many clubs would be happy to take a punt on him.
What’s the point? He could much rather buy his transfer out himself, unless we get something respectable like 15m offer

Why don't Man Utd just release him from his contract if all the fans want him out? Just write off the remaining 1 year transfer fee. It is only 7.5m anyway.
