I know a couple of posters in here who really hated the suggestion, but I still think Timber was considered as an option for RB. Look how narrow Dalot has played recently. Same with Malacia on the left.

EtH has said he wanted to improve the left side of our defence, so I think he likely wanted Timber and Martinez. He also appears to rate Maguire
If that is the case, we have the option to go back in for him in January

What a lame comment.

I have supported United for approx. 40 years now and will keep supporting them no matter what.

But that does not mean I close my eyes for what is happening.

This is where we are at now. We just have to realize it to improve.
Just read back what you have written. I understand fans being depressed, but this is getting beyond parody now. We’re f-ing the biggest club in the land with a history bar none and never you forget that.

Said every RAWK member, every year, from inception, to them actually winning the league again.

Hold on, so are you happy with the state of the club? There is a whole generation that think we are not the biggest club in Manchester never mind the country. Yes would should be proud of our history, but it is history and you can't survive in sport on what did 20-25 years ago, we are now spiralling into irrelevance.

The club haven't moved on, we aren't entitled to anything, everything we won wasn't given to us on a plate but was earned. Part of the problem, people get to United and think they have made it, when actually the hard work starts when they walk through the door. We have 6 people who start regularly for the club, I believe shouldn't be playing top level football. It's a mess, and the ownership structure is just exasperating the situation.

We all love United
We should be loaning Dalot to QPR instead. I would rather have Wan Bissaka at right back. Dalot infuriates me whenever i see him play

I agree, let AWB defend and have someone else do the attacking side which is his obvious weakness. Dalot makes me a nervous wreck.

So many posts stating we need to buy top tier players. Only problem they no longer want to come to United. Not because we are not in the CL but most likely because they do not believe we will be for the years to come.

We can no longer compete with Chelsea, Spurs, City or Liverpool for players (or any of the top 2 clubs in France, Italy, Spain, Germany).

We now need to look at the same players as mid table teams in the PL and hope to get lucky.

And not really seeing any good suggestions to who these players could be and I cannot think of any either who has the potential and would actually come to United these days.

Seen many posts stating we have a change of top 4 if we just get a couple of good players in. From my point of view our best possible finish this year will be 6th if we get a couple of good players in and have a bit of luck. Most likely we will end up around 8-10 this year unless things go really wrong.

And unfortunately our young talented players will most likely need another couple of years before being ready.
This post is ridiculous.

The Laporta quote in the 2nd Tweet was from a week or so back in his interview with CBS. Jacobs brought that up to show Laporta's two-faced approach to all of this.

Manchester United is considering Gakpo, but does not yet offer. It seems that PSV will have to get 45 to 50 million Euros on the table in any case, with additional clauses.
Gakpo's okay with staying at PSV but is also open to a move abroad.

Considering how much we get fleeced with transfer asking prices, should we adopt a transfer strategy of targeting players with one year left on their contracts with other clubs, I swear this is what Bayern do a lot with who they target each season?

Just like Shaw he does not seem to play with a sense of urgency. Many times he does not hustle back on defense, especially after a mistake. I think he can get better and would like United to hold on to him, but he should not be 1st choice at this point for a team like United. Obviously we lack another good option.

This is the first time we're seeing a price be reported by a Dutch media outlet. Rob Dawson was the first one to report a possible fee of €35m.
Still, numbers out of a hat for Dawson then, or are we assuming he got his info from United? Hence representing Uniteds valuation, whilst the 50m is PSV valuation?

I think it's the former, and he may have based it off of Cody Gakpo's €30m valuation on Transfermarkt.

they can have him, give us some cash and a free path to Ruiz. I'm not sure Rashford is ever going to get his confidence back at United.

I’d bite their hand off if they offer anything over £70m. Ideally this is the sort of sale that should be done at start of summer.
Anything between 40 to 50 Million would be fine. I think Garnacho has a massive present and a future and could easily replace Rashford without much downturn in quality.

At this stage it just seems United are incapable of doing any types of transfers, incoming or outgoing, we have become a transfer non-entity.

£50m for Rashers would be a good figure.

They’ve tapped the player up well before then. They know they are on their way.
Still agree with doing the same.

Because Woodward, Glazers, Arnold and Murtough are about as useful as hole filled rubber.

So PSG are targeting a forward with grand total of 5 goals in 32 games last season whist having a forward line of Neymar, Messi and Mbappe? Rashford at his very best has a lot of potential but I find that very hard to believe.
