I hope he’s backed to bench half this shit and gets a pass this season otherwise we just do this every season until these players retire.
It needs gutting, only question is if Ten Hag is the man for it.

We all know this is on the players, but ETH has to take a some of the blame. He left the left back he signed on the bench, chose Maguire as captain and centre back over Varane, hasn’t bought a DM.

It’s literally pointless talking about the front five as everything behind is such a mess.

He's making his own mistakes and deserves criticism for that too.

He refused to even meet with Rangnick who could have told him the squad is shit. He seemingly couldn't see De Gea can't play in a possession based team. He picked McFred and then this abomination of a midfield. He insisted on wasting a ton of money on a centre back that was obviously completely unsuited to the Premier League. He insisted on chasing one target all summer with no resolution in sight.

The club will be dross until the Glazers go, but ETH has been completely and utterly underwhelming so far himself, as bad even as Moyes. If he decides to chuck in the towel he's a coward to boot.
Meeting Ralf wouldn't have cost anything and there was a lot to gain from it. A bizarre decision that may stem from extreme arrogance

If we lose to Liverpool by another 3 or 4, he'll be on a sack watch. Won't be sacked immediately but he won't have much excuses for the rest of the season.

Why he approved Martinez signing? Why he playing Fred as dm? Where is the attractive football we taught he would bring? Etc.

I don't think he will resign, moreso he will be sacked like Nuno Santos
What do you mean approved?

Martinez was his signing and his alone. Just wasted a shit tonne on a CB unsuited to the PL and has now set us back even further.

He could have just done that, why would he needing ‘backing’ to it. He has Varane on the bench ffs. Criminal.

Who do you bring on?
Try the younger players - any answers against not playing them are mute, now. Lack of experience, not being ready etc. don't matter anymore in the face of this.

Malacia, Garnacho, Malacia, Garner, Elanga (At least, he tries)

I think if there's no significant investment in the squad until the end of the window, he walks.

No club on the planet can ditch 15 players in one window so we have to endure the season and the next and the next, mostly with what we have now.
ETH must make this group work, one way or another, otherwise he will walk faster than a young woman in a dark alley.
It's clear that the strategy is bad, very bad.
Play from the back and possession football DOES NOT WORK FOR US!!!

Rangnick was the father of gegenpressing. Klopp and Tuchel raved about him. He came to United and he tanked. ETH was the most promising manager in Europe. He came to United and he's tanking. Can you see the pattern here? The team built by Cardiff isn't suited for the modern game. The club should embrace that they thrown 420m in the bin and that this squad require an open heart surgery.

Today is just suicidal tactics though. Or the players abandoned the game plan, but that 2nd goal wasn't that to me. That was just Brentford responding to his game plan and him not adapting.

The question we need to ask: Is there any manager out there who can fix the complete shit of a club we are right now from top to down?
Honestly, I don't think so. ETH has had his faults in signing and targeting couple of the players but our recruitment department wasn't strong enough to overrule him and his targets. It falls at the hands of the people above him.

Rashford, psg want him, Shaw, Maguire, de gea, Fred, Mctominay, lindeloff, awb can all go. Just shows the depth of our issue, we need an entire new team. Hag knows this.

Thought he looked shell-shocked after the opening game. He greatly underestimated how poor the squad is.

And signed Martinez. Many said his height is going to be an issue and it took just 2 games for him to cost a goal because he couldn't win a header.
To think we could have had 6 foot 3 inches Pau Torres given both were risks, over Martinez who I have to say, his upper body shape really draws the eye to his lack of height.

No one forced him to carry on playing Maguire and De Gea, buy a midget centre back and spend all summer chasing De Jong and other shite Eredivisie players. He's made a lot of mistakes already.
Exactly this.

Every decision he's had to make so far looks a mistake. That's astonishing. He's got feck all track record to suggest he can turn it around, either. It's a completely different kettle of fish managing the well run Ajax machine.

He's a symtpom of the larger Glazer problem, but if fans aren't very worried already that he might not be the almighty saviour that they hoped for then they've learned nothing from the 10 years ox shite we've endured.

I started thinking he might not last the season as early as last week, but put that down to silly kneejerkery.
But this smashing by Brentford, and then an obvious defeat v Liverpool next week, will put us bottom of the league.

He might not outlast Moyes.

World Cup and x4 champions league wining defender Varane instead of the man he kept as captain. The left back he signed…The DM that he’s refused to sign all summer despite every single United fan knowing for several years that we need one.

We're a fecking disaster. He has to take his share of responsibility for that.

Not saying he should be sacked, but fecking hell, he couldn't have had a worse start. He needs to sort it quickly.

If he'd not fallen down he'd have easily headed it.

I would not be surprised, seriously, to see us linked with Weghorst next week.
Yea, I don't get this. He wants a physical and tall striker but not a physical and tall defender ? How many teams in the Prem play with short defenders. :houllier:

It's just 2 games in and he might come good but I don't think it will be at CB. Move him to DM or LB. CB in the Prem isn't for him I don't think.

Please do not forget he gave these players a clean sheet for the 3rd time.
I think the phrase you mean is clean slate. I wouldn't normally be so pedantic, but I think using the term clean sheet in connection with this United team is just a slap in the face.

That's what I meant but I'm not thinking straight.

If Martinez is ever going to make it, he clearly needs time, the PL is like two levels above the Eredvisie. Why not start Varane, what a noob move. It's ultra hard to imagine how ETH can work out ever, I have seen coaches with great starts, real attractive football not going to make it at that level( like Peter Bosz).

I can see it now, the club will sack ETH by Xmas and employ pochetino after the January window closes. What an absolute shambles of a club

Yeah I didn't understand doing that because Ralf had seen first hand what rotters this lot are
