Apparently Porto were "devastated" to lose him.
Heh. One of my closest friends is a Milan fan. He was fuming that United loaned Milan a dud. Only United could start a player who has come back from a failed loan.

This is a classic example of a lad who people rate far higher than he deserves because of his name / looks.

If he looked like Iain Dowie and had a similar name he’d be struggling to break into a league one side - he’s fecking dire.

The fact that a real right back was deemed less of a priority than another center back is criminal and those that made this decision will be responsible for how the season plays out.

He's crap.

We somehow have managed to obtain two of the worst RBs in the league. Quite impressive when you think about it.

The only reason Rashford and Sancho are getting a game is because Dalot makes them look like world-beaters in training.

Luis Diaz will tear him to shreds against Liverpool. I suspect after that game is when AWB will get back in the 11 or any new RB we sign.

Which premier league sides have a worse first choice right back? Discuss.

He's really poor. AWB isn't great but at least he's a better defender. At this point I'd experiment with anyone else but we need to kill this dalot experiment.

It's like having Forrest Gump at RB. I never thought I'd say this, but I'd seriously consider bringing Wan Bissaka back into the side.

AWB and Malacia. Varane + Bailly. Pray the CBs stay fit and I feel we can have a chance against Pool otherwise they’ll overrun Dalot every single time, Shaw’s head will drop from the 1st minute and Nunez will just sit on Martinez.

Agree same here. At least with AWB we know we can get a good defensive output. Dalot is really bad defensively and offensively he offers next to nothing. His crossing is really shite.

How he ever came to Manchester United, I'll never understand. How he ever became a professional player I cannot fathom.

Thought about it and I agree with you. That back 4 would be my choice as well although it could also go immensely wrong.

Not really. Unless we set up to counter, with winger running at him. Any teams with a brain would just passing around him and it's same problem.

Dalot is just different kind of shite. Feel depressed right now seeing that we don't look like bringing in a quality RB in this window. Moving Maguire to RCB compounds the issue even. Dalot contract running out, last time I heard. I hope we don't extend. Doesn't deserve until proven otherwise

It can’t go more wrong than Brenford! Ole lost 5-0 where Pool chilled after half time , Ralf lost 4-0, there has to be some kind of kick up the arse for the players to not get humiliated again.

Mourinho said he was the best fullback of his age group in Europe. That he could probably be United's RB for the next 10 years. How wrong he was.

How on earth we have started the season with this oaf at right back? It’s criminal! If we have no idea of any decent right backs out there can we ask Brighton’s scouts for some suggestions (for a fee). Bringing in a reserve left back instead is yet more proof of how clueless we are as a club

Basically gets into the squad because he’s Ronaldo’s gopher, I reckon

The very definition of a nothing player.

AWB is miles better than him!

Should have been sold when he came back from Milan. Can't stand seeing him start for us. An absolute nothing player. Bring in AWB asap.

He is better than AWB and a much better player than what most of here think.

The issue is that he is not what we need and his contract runs out next year. I don't think he should be given a new one. So, again we opted to keep him because we can't find a new RB.

He’s not a footballer, and no one will ever convince me that he is. Pull someone into the team from a local five a side and they’d at least know the basics on the game unlike this lad.

He's the worst player in the starting line up but has the shortest thread. It's an odd thing where it's just kind of accepted how bad he is.

Mourinho was wrong about a lot of stuff but his rehabilitation narrative campaign is in full flow now.

The thing with Dalot is that I cannot remember one match where I thought he stood out as being excellent. As bad as essentially everyone else is right now, I can at least recall performances they have put in which have really impressed me. I just can't do that with Dalot.

Is anybody here capable of naming a match in which Dalot stood out as playing really well? I'm wondering if I am just forgetting something or if there seriously haven't been any.

You people have short memories. Yes, Dalot is shite but Wan-Bissaka is barely a footballer. It's like playing De Gea outfield.

The nothingest nothing player I've ever seen play RB for United. I long for the days of Rafael, and even he wasn't absolutely top class. But at least he had heart and speed and fight. There are RBs out there for 10m that are better than Dalot. Go buy one ffs.

Dalot is fecking wank. The first two games have been worse than AWB level.

He's wank but AWB is equally wank.

We're fecked at RB. Can't believe Tony Valencia remains our best right back post Fergie.

I don't agree. I mean they are both shit but I think Wan-Bissaka's bottom level is a lot worse than Dalot's.

Nowhere near good enough. Yet we knew that years ago hence why he was loaned to Milan.

Most bemusing thing is certain parts of the fanbase thinking he's good.

Even Neville said "he's a powerful runner" when trying to justify him in the starting eleven.

He's a bum. Honestly, worse than AWB in my mind because at least he can tackle. Dalot is so bad it's comical.

He cannot cross, he cannot shoot, he can't dribble, has no pace, zero technique, passing range is that of an under 16s player, zero awareness and is the starting RB.

Rather play three at the back and a traffic cone.

Said it towards the end of last season when he was hyped by some over here. He is not good at anything. Defensively he is terrible and going forward doesn’t offer much. AWB, as bad as he is, is still better than Dalot. I understand modern fullbacks attack, but like I always say, a defender needs to know how to defend, especially when playing 4 at the back. Can get away with it when you have 3 CBs to cover for him, but as it stands, he offers nothing

I actually think he's the worst player in our starting eleven.
