I know he's entitled to do that but won't it screw up Barcelona's finances. He is due another big raise next year and every remaining year of his contract. It will cause Barcelona to continue to struggle with Liga's financial rules throughout his contract.
I don’t think they’ve registered Kounde yet because of it. They need Depay and Aubamayang or De Jong to leave.

I think I read somewhere that it only affects their last 3 years so next year or the next their finances should allow them to be fine because those Covid years would start to drop off

God Please make it happen
The only way I think is if we loaned Napoli Ronaldo and covered some/all his wages while taking Osimhen on a loan with obligation to buy for £80m or something next summer and pay a £20m loan fee this year.

That way we get Osimhen but he only costs us £20m this summer. Ronaldo is gone and Napoli can reinvest the £20m now for some squad cover (maybe say Gakpo) and can plan next summer knowing a huge fee isn’t coming as well.

 This has to be the social media marketing intern trolling, ideally with a bet involving what a Championship club's Comms team would actually sign off on. Hope their mates paid up...

Outside of Ronaldo & Napoli:
  • Fabian Ruiz to PSG should be completed today.
    • Fee: 22-23 million Euros
  • Keylor Navas: PSG is unwilling to pay Navas his compensation for terminating his contract
    • Napoli will try again in the January transfer window if they can't get him this summer.

Wow! if we manage to pull Osimhen & offload CR7 in exchange, this window would take some beating

If Glazers open the purse strings and United get the rebuild, the team starts to click, top four etc I can see people taking a more favourable view. Misguided maybe but understandable

Let's not get our hopes up. If Ronaldo does leave, it will not be with Osimhen coming the other way.

Bloody fecking hell. City is going into season without single lb, Liverpool for years don't have backup for TAA, Chelsea is without single striker but we will keep unwanted player just because we don't have natural backup for first choice player.
No wonder that we suck in selling

Such clowns honestly. It would not be difficult to get a back up RB in at all.

If we start doing well it's in spite of the Glazers, we could still spend the same revenue we're spending now without them as owners. Anyone that's starts taking a more favourable view of them is definitely misguided and wrong

I'm sure we would've been prepared to sell if either of those clubs were offering a reasonable sum. Earlier in the summer the reports were saying Palace were only prepared to go as high as £10m. It's not really worth the headache of finding a replacement for that amount of money.

He isn’t going to be worth more in a years time. This is the time to sell.
