It's a soap opera. This genuinely isn't how big financial acquisitions happen. Everyone now is going to be hanging off ever word of this. More money will go towards subscriptions to read articles that saying titillating stuff such as 'Soucres say they can't not rule out interest to sell, but others can't not rule it out' than will ever be put on the table for a genuine offer.

Genuinely find it barmy people have been taken in by this. If there's genuine interest from anyone they'd keep quiet and bid. This thread will be at this for YEARS. 2025, we've just lost at home to Spurs: "Reckon they'll sell up now, Sir Jim's preparing a bit. I read about it in Gay Times and it was confirmed in Take a Break. Look at the share price, it fell by almost 6% overnight must mean something "

Only think missing is Knighton in his pyjamas claiming he's the silent partner.

I'd love club to be taken over and we build a new stadium and invest heavily in infrastructure and clear debt. Doesn't mean I'm obliged to believe this shite though.

Honestly with fans like us it's a wonder the magic beans trade isn't through the roof.

"You realise he's said he's interested "

Because that's definitely how all serious acquisitions start, leaking to the papers

of course he has sources, he has journalists on his channel all the time
Then read the journalists.

Brent's job is to sensationalize and get clicks / views - even moreso than standard journalists. He's an entertainer not a reputable source.

Goldbridge doesn’t know anything that anyone on this forum doesn’t.

He doesn’t have sources. He isn’t a journalist. He’s a fictional entertainment character. He’s basically just Limmy but for Manchester United. He’s called Brent ffs.

Can we stop treating him as anything other than a joke? If people find him entertaining go for it, we all have different tastes.
I am sorry but you are talking nonsense out of your rear and you think this tirade is somehow going to convince me? In the future, don't bother quoting me with such a waste of space of a post.

Agreed. Much as I would love it to happen, this just isn't how these kind of deals go.

Goldbridge makes money by clicks and views. This is a matter of fact and not an opinion.
To get those views he has to play to the viewer. That's why he's been caught so many times being a hypocrite. He knows nothing more than the average United fan.

Please not this attention seeking clown. That's the last thing we need right now.
You think Lewis is a clown then? Even with all the work he does for the minority and good causes but everyone to his own way at of thinking

If he offers enough money, I'll sure the Glazers will consider selling. What's his offer? The thread title makes it sound like he wants a "rent with an option to buy" plan for the multi-billion $$ club.

:lol:Christ, if he's the hero we need right now it's from one set of cnuts to another.
Unfortunately, it’s baked in that you can’t be a Billionaire socialist.

I hate Tories as much as any other adult. But our next owner will certainly be one.

He’s fecking awful. Zero personality convinced that money has given him one.

I’ve met him a few times (pre global superstar rise). Another poster here has also, and knows the family, and did raise some countenance to what I’d seen, so I’ve tempered a little.

He’s the Instagram version of black activism and collectivism. He’s not ‘in’ communities or the culture. He’s often cosplaying and bandwagoning. I don’t think he’s malicious, he probably thinks he’s doing a world of good. But I find him to be the least authentic superstar.

None of this to take away from what an outrageous race driver he is. He’s in rarefied air as a race car driver.

He also does huge amounts of good with the money he has made. Nobody needs to do that and he does. But I’d want him nowhere near my football club. He’s not a sharp businessman. He’s not an insightful person that is engaging and thought provoking. Even in the early comments he’s already selling blackness as an angle. Go to communities. Exclusively. Do not jump into bed with free market capitalists. They are the oppressors and attaching blackness to the news cycle, is not helping anyone but himself.

Exactly! Can see the cracks in the fan base opening up again, feck that, stick together and support the protests. There will 100% be buyers if the glazers are pushed to sell up.

Sticking together is irrelevant. What difference would that make to anything? Unless the Glazers are living under a rock they know they're as popular as crackling at a vegan dinner.

It's been 16 years. You can give some bloke as much of your money as you like to take his merchandise off his hands but stop insisting it makes any difference.

There ain't going to be a 3am call to Tampa "Lads they've just sold the 11,000th scarf. It's time to move"

Mate no offence but you're the reason why convincing fans every 7 months there's a chance they'll sell is such a lucrative business.

"Why not show them how you feel? Stick together, a United front against the parasites... for just £8.99"

Spot on. It's bizarre how some people hang on his every word.

Why are you so worried about local grifters making a few quid? It's hardly relevant in the scheme of things and such an odd rallying call for people to do nothing.

He is outspoken. He is a black man.

Grow up.
FFS man. He has one of the largest platforms in sport. He barely says a word. Stop treating black people as a monoculture. The vast majority of black people I know, detest him because he’s a Fcuking beg.

Sorry for saying ‘grow up’. It was childish. But painting broad strokes like that is really wanky. You’re rendering him bullet proof because of his skin colour. I’m saying I think he’s a melt.

He’s an incredible black role model, but only by way of being an incredibly talented race car driver with black skin.

Any attempt to portray all his Critics as racist is just utterly garbage behaviour. Please don’t do it.

Nothing new on the stock front. Usually after the volume pop you get day traders following the unusual volume and buying the stock. Then most of them sell off before the weekend because they don’t want to hold longer than a day or so.

All that happened as expected but the stock is still higher than it was before the pop and it’s putting in higher lows (stock term for increasing price over long term).

I still think the original pop is based on someone knowing something that isn’t public knowledge yet, it was too random to move like that otherwise. I also think that United reportedly had £120m to spend this summer and spent a £100m more than that so perhaps the new investor is already active within the club? I’m speculating at this point but there’s a few things that don’t really add up at the moment.

We’ll know more in the coming week I think. Might take longer though, don’t be surprised if it’s a month before we hear anything concrete.
Brilliant mate, thanks for the insight.

I know Ariel have been very active recently. Are they linked with Ratcliffe?

Still amazes me that people think nothing is happening behind the scenes, especially after all the stock action, Bloomberg confirming Glazers looking to sell a small stake, Ratcliffe confirming his intentions. And, as you've highlighted, unusual amount being spent in transfer window.

See what I told the other guy. You are both missing the forest for the trees.

He clearly has sources and has been proven right often enough to be taken seriously, unless of course you are a couple of obsessed posters on a football forum.

Give over .
Even well known and respected journalists don't have a clue as to whats going on. If you honestly believe that Jim Ratcliffe (or anyone else) went to a journalist and told him his plan to buy the club and then for that journalist to go to Goldbridge and tell him all he knows so he can broadcast it on his youtube channel then I have a bridge to sell you. Honestly, its a great little bridge, need a quick sale, its going cheap.

Oh, ok. Thanks. Move along then....:D
What that guy wrote is a lie started by Howson, a guy charging people money for something that is free and who has wished death on Goldbridge.

I'd suggest a bit of googling because he's a polarising figure, especially with the Redcafe boomers.
