Hasselbaink is being more of a whiny prick than Merson is surprisingly.
He’s always been massively ABU. Proper bitter for a reason I’m not sure. If it makes anyone feel better his Burton side are bollocks and bottom of League One.

So, she/he had arranged a dog walk without asking you, just when United were playing, and you had to obey to it. Great stuff.
Credit to you for going, If that was me I’d trip over on purpose and say I can’t walk so ain’t going!
Absolutely no disrespect intended as I know everybody's relationship dynamics differ, but is a dog walk not the sort of thing you can duck out of given the game at hand?! There's so few things that'd make me miss a game like this. I'm thinking death of a loved one at a push?
Believe me, it wasn't my first choice! It's a 'friend' that's a total charisma vacuum...her boring partner was there as well and I think she just wanted some back up. The compromises we make for the people we love...! Plus, I definitely banked a few points for future redemption.

Your dog pisses when it walks ??

 phrasing was a bit confusing there!

What is also great is that the atmosphere at OT will be better. People are now excited to watch this team. They can be our extra man again. Teams were not intimidated by coming to OT now hopefully it is different.

He's jealous of our manager's sharp suit with his playground excuse for a suit.

understat had the xG on Rashford's second as 0.52, and on Saka's goal as 0.47 - both looked almost certain goals, I would have guessed 0.75+. Does anyone know why it's so low?
probably because a fair few of chances from those positions are difficult headers

Is there a way of watching Sky Sport's post match analysis with Keane without actually having Sky Sports? I want to soak all of this up but I'm too poor to pay for Murdoch's services.

Michael Owen saying it was a foul and then saying it should be a goal, not sure how he is allowed on TV

It was a foul. That is what VAR is for.

Wow. Right up the ABU thread. I thought the RAWK thread would be busy this season but we're already boiling piss.

What the actual feck. He's come in from behind, not played the ball and knocked the man to the ground. They have scored directly from gaining an advantage from this foul. Are people just thick?

Wycombe beat them 3-0 opening day, and he didn't give us any credit!

Shameless ABU's. Was there even a similar Twitter outrage after the Chelsea - West Ham disaster yesterday? fecking wankers.

Wow, tough crowd. Rashy got 2 out of 3 goals and an assist on the first goal and still only 33% people think he was MoM? Haha! That is a bit harsh.

All-in-all, fantastic performance and team spirit! Onwards and upwards!
Lots of the players look so much better that it has been legitimately difficult to pick MotM for the last 4 matches. McTominay stuck out to me for the entire match, but ultimately I picked Rashford because 2 goals and an assist in a 3-1 match is difficult to beat.

I think there are legitimate arguments for McTominay, Eriksen and Bruno for MotM. Varane and Martinez were very good as well. The left side of the defence was beaten a few times but Saka is one of the best wide forwards in the PL, so I thought they did very well under the circumstances.

Owen certainly is.
"Probably a foul", yet wouldn't have given it, for a goal that happened right after!

It's easy to laugh off, but we saw with that string of pens we had the other season, that a couple of clever comments from the likes of Klopp quickly meant we got zero afterwards.

The vast majority of these dimwits never wanted VAR in the first place.

I think it was obviously a foul, but torn on whether VAR should have intervened. For me its neither here nor there so the hyperbole is just stupid. Also its just an excuse to take away from discussing what was still a balanced and fair match.

Football is fun again.
This - I lost some interest in watching United in the last couple of years. Not because they were crap (they were) but because they were boring. I genuinely would have enjoyed tonight's game even if they lost. They are playing the right way and it's good to watch. We probably won't win the league but I will at least enjoy watching them try.

Agreed. In real time, I can understand the ref thinking the Arsenal player nicked it. He doesn't and therefore its a foul. A soft one? Yes, but still a foul.

For Rashford's 2nd goal, if Eriksen lets go of that pass about 1/10th of a second earlier, it would have been deflected by the defender.

Great result. Far from a perfect performance, lots for the manager to work on - honestly, we were under the cosh for a lot of this game. But the biggest issue we had going into this season was a chronic lack of confidence, and that looks to be addressed. The team spirit looks really good, and even though we were chasing the ball for a good 20 minutes after half time, we had a commitment to our game that suggested we wouldn't just fold.

Eriksen was class. McT looked decent again in midfield and Bruno seems to be settling down game by game. I would have liked more composure from the midfield in that spell after half time when we were up against it, but they came up golden in the end.

The defence was solid yet again, though Maguire's cameo didn't fill me with confidence. I hope Martinez doesn't have a real injury and his sub was precautionary. Malacia continues to be a bit hot and cold and was at fault for the goal. But he's a young player, and they don't get better by being on the bench. Unless his form turns entirely cold, I would keep playing him.

Up front, Antony showed how he'll stretch teams by making them double up against him or risk getting punished, even if his overall game was only ok. Sancho was a bit disappointing. Rashford in truth didn't have a great game in open play, but he did the business on the counter attack and was probably ideally suited to that second half.

I thought ETH's in game management was excellent. Muggins here would have taken off Bruno or Eriksen and put on Casemiro about the time of Arsenal's equaliser, but he was brave & keep that midfield together and it came good, creating two more goals.

Overall a crucial win, and with two winnable games before the international break, things are looking positive.

Doesn't it kind of feel good that one decision that went our way, absolutely correctly so, draws so much attention? When the ABU sentiment gets stronger, we're surely doing something right

I just don’t think we are quite there yet. I don’t think we have the personnel either. I watched Arsenal pass and move today and I can’t say that I wouldn’t be surprised to see us play like that with any frequency.

Martial returning will make an enormous difference to this team though. Our attacking play will get significantly better once he’s back up front.
Listening to Ten Hag post game, seems like the intent are never to drop off. He did lament the fact that we lost our composure after the disallowed goal and somehow couldn't get back to the way we played the first 15 minutes.

I think right now, like Ten Hag said, it's just a matter of players keeping their composure which is why I hope with every win we gain more confidence which will allow our players not to easily get rattled and have the confidence to play their football no matter what's happening.

Great result. Building a head of steam. Need to adapt though as at times it was oleball and not the football TH wants us to play. It will come though I am sure. Glad Antony scored. Thats a big weight off his back already. Now lets see him beat the last man in a dribble.

5 out of 5, confident, purposeful arsenal created next to nothing, varane getting bullied by Jesus was concerning, but otherwise we were strong and I wasn't concerned about the back 4

Because expected goals is bullshit!

Ben Foster was speaking about expected goals the other day and categorically stated that no manager gives a feck a out expected goals, and no team gives it a passing thought.

You could be right, it's subjective. The main thing is, it is a foul and all these pundits calling for VAR to be binned are more concerned with a decision going United's way than whether it was right.
