With Martial out, think we will and should go with the same team vs Spurs.
Shame Martial is out, but yep - have to keep the same side now. Imagine playing like Fred did and then getting dropped, just wouldn't be right. Hopefully he can do it again!
Would prefer Fred's engine in this one vs Eriksen's ball retention.

Their record against us is absolutely shite. Haven’t beaten us in the league since 2017.

Having said that, watch us get gubbed by them now

Is that right? I've always had the inkling that Chelsea away is one of our bogey grounds and we regularly get fisted there, but I don't know if I'm still thinking of the Mourinho years or not.

The Bridge is a tough place. This will be a good benchmark where we stand. A test for both teams. They are without Fofana, Kante, and Reece James, so that should make this easier for us. Thiago Silva however was rested against Brentford and will be fresh for this. They are unbeaten under Potter and he already has one over Ten Hag. They also beat AC Milan 5:0 on agg. Expecting a boring, goalless draw or a minimal Chelsea win.

    De Gea
    Dalot Varane Martinez Shaw
    Casemiro Eriksen
    Antony Bruno Sancho

Need a big game from rashford tomorrow, we haven’t got any other strikers and it would be nice for him to get a brace after playing so well lately

Same team and same performance as last time please !!!!

Massive game this. A win here and we are right in the mix for top 4 and maybe even higher.... A poor performance and defeat and it's a big step back after the Tottenham game.

Chelsea playa a very defensive midfield so not sure we need Fred for this one, Eriksen passing through those defensive lines would bring a lot more to the team.

It’s an important game for a few reasons:

1.A chance for the team to really make a claim for top 4 and a force to be reckoned with.
    2. To prove that this squad can be consistent And not blow hot and cold between games.
    3. completely dismiss the Ronaldo strop like it didn’t even happen and no one cares.

Surely Chelsea’s front like don’t get a sniff with our defence? All about the midfield really this game. Expect them to play a false 9 to pull our defence out of shape

Our record there has been shocking ever since the Russian came in for them but we're on our best run away against them since the 90s

Not really. A defeat at stamford Bridge isn't a step backwards.

A lot of dull draws in previous meetings.

It's more a place we fail to win in the league.

When we went there with LVG we had 70% possession but lost 1-0 and they went on to win the title. Thought it was a draw.

    We all love United
I think we need to put a man on Mason Mount. He’s not the best of players but he’s capable of pulling the unusual and scoring a goal, abit like a poorer Muller

I would drop Sancho too and play Fred, Scott and Casemiro in a three man midfield with Antony, Rashford and Bruno up top

Let’s not make the headlines on Sunday for all the wrong reasons… ‘potter does the double over united with 2 different teams’ I’m actually confident going into most games with ETH our manager… not been this confident since fergie was here. We can match any team in the league except city at the minute but that will change by next season… we’ll be on top!! #GGMU

I think that's a difficult decision. Eriksen's been one of our top 2 or 3 players all season. Fred was our best player in the last game in which the whole team had it's best performance in a long time. I understand not wanting to make any changes. But, at the same time I think it is very hard on Eriksen to play as well as he has and then get sick for two games and be dropped when you recover.

Same team expect for Eriksen coming in for Fred. Fred had a good game against Tottenham but Eriksen has already been integrated as part of the main 11 and should start when fit.

If Fred continues to put in good performances when he get his chances he might force the manager to consider him in the starting 11 when everyone is fit but for now he still hasn't earned the right to displace Eriksen when the latter is fully fit.

If there was anything good to come out of the media storm about Ronaldo it's that it's paused us drooling over the Spurs performance and building the hopes up too much over three days for this one. A draw would be a decent enough point.

Kante isn’t playing for them which is a big loss. Don’t think there will be the ‘passion’ in this match as there used to be in the olden days although their fans are still obnoxious morons as are some of their staff. Did they ever fire that bloke that racially abused Evra?

3 points here would be a massive massive statement.
12/15 from Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, and City would be pretty impressive for ten Hag in the first half of his first season.

Difficult away match. We were fantastic last match but imo it's unrealistic to expect we'd repeat the same performance. Would be extremely great if we can though.

Are you sure about that? I think they're undefeated under Potter.

    Chelsea 3-0 Milan
    Chelsea 3-0 Wolves
    Milan 0-2 Chelsea

Same starting 11 as Spurs for me, or maybe he puts Eriksen in for Fred? We need to finish off what we create , and Rashford please have a pair of scoring boots on if selected.

People benching Eriksen surprise me. Would make sense if he wasn't performing but that's not the case. He got ill, we brought in someone else in his stead and thankfully did well. But now that he's fully fit, he has to return in the starting line up for the simple fact he's part of our best team on the pitch.

Trying to figure out a way to keep Fred in the lineup and also bring Eriksen in. Personally I would drop Sancho, he has been underwhelming most times when he starts. 4-2-2 diamond since no Ronaldo and Martial

Dominating the midfield potentially gets us the win.

Imo this is quite against the meritocracy ETH has been implementing. Fred just had probably the game of his United career benching him would be a bit unfair I think.

Anyway I'd trust ETH on this. Maybe he'll play Eriksen due to tactical reason or tight schedule or what both have been showing in training. Like he did with Fred and McT last match. McT was actually having better form than Fred previously. But I don't really like the idea of Eriksen should play by default.

Same starting XI as Spurs for me. I just think Fred is better at pressing than Eriksen, who is naturally the more gifted player, but we need to get possession of the ball tomorrow. Just worried about our lack of goals up front - desperately need Martial back asap.

I think they were struggling against Villa and Brentford.
In the Villa game the first goal was a gift from a clearance header from Mings that went backwards and Mount took advantage of. The second goal was well earned. Kepa made some saves but it was not much of a struggle. Brentford parked the bus rather well. We had several chances to score that went wanting.

It’s great to have genuine options in midfield. I would favour Eriksen in this game because he’s fresh and he will help us retain possession. Casemiro, Eriksen and Bruno. Otherwise same team as v Spurs.

Thought it might have been worth taking either Mcneill/Shoretire just to have a striker substitution on the bench

After the performance & result on Wednesday night, I’m gutted that I’m going to be missing this game! Will be a very tough game as it always is at the Bridge. Won’t be surprised if both teams end up cancelling each other out and content with a point apiece. If we come away from this game with a point, I’ll be satisfied, a win and I’ll be over the moon and looking forward to catching the highlights the next day. As much as I’d like Eriksen back in, I think ETH will stick with the same team so Casemiro - Fred it is. Can’t really blame him if he does as it was by far and away our best performance of the season.
