Is it just me or are Newcastle fans particularly dislikeable...booing Martinez after he got a clear knee in the head is classless af

Spurs and Chelsea losing would be magnificent. It means we've even more room for error but we should be winning all our fixtures before the world cup.

It would mean we have no room for error but should capitalise with the added incentive. Let's hope at least Brighton see this through. Not holding out hope Bournemouth can get a win against Spurs.

Just put money on Spurs to win so that should ensure they drop points.

"Man gets clear head injury" and Newcastle fans losing the head and booing ffs. Callum Wilson is a prick and all.

Martinez coming off for Villa, he got a knee to the head earlier and BT pundits said he should have come off then, stayed on and now likely coming off.

Jesus a couple of weeks ago and Martinez today. Football needs to start taking head injuries seriously.

They should just take them off. Not take a players word that he is alright. They want to play on. Players welfare comes first.

There’s something lovely about a manager going back to his former soon after leaving them and losing.

Totally agree. If you need 5 minutes attention after a bang to the head, you need to come off. Full stop.

Caicedo isn't too bad on the ball.

Sign him up so he can learn the trade from Casemiro

Lots of players have started feigning head injuries to stop attacks as well. There was one in one of our recent games (Newcastle I think) where a defender was on the floor after contesting a header in the box which was cleared to the wing, sat up to see who had the ball, saw that we had it and lied back down holding his head to stop the attack.

They should start having five minutes of tests etc in all these cases, both to be thorough if it's a potential real one or as a punishment for being a cnut.

If these results stand and we win the two games we have in hand, we'll be in 3rd place.

Emery has been at Villa a wet week, and already signs of turning them into one of those horrible, negative, anti-footballing Spanish sides.
