Blind loyalty isn't a good thing. It makes people look stupid and not a true friend if you keep being a yes man

Also neither him or Neville has said anything really negative. They said he probably needs to leave for the good of everyone and clearly Ronaldo thinks the same. Saying he is unprofessional for walking out is a shock to him? Saying Keane would have been furious if a player he captained did that is news? Neville and Rooney literally say how great Ronaldo is in their comments

Ronaldo just wants people opening their mouth and bending over for him. He wants to be told the world revolves around him and anything else is an insult
So much this. Neville and Rooney were asked direct questions about Ronaldo and all they did was to say United are better as a team without him and that it's unacceptable to walk out of the stadium before the match is over, which is undoubtedly true, yet Ronaldo says he doesn't understand why they criticize him. :houllier:

I think people are falling into his traps, by going into detail on what he spoke about.

For me this was an exit interview. He wants to leave, and he came up with this interview to make sure he does, and make sure he does on his own terms.

He wanted to leave in the summer, he couldnt find a place to go, and now, he either has something set up, or thinks that he will find somewhere if hes out of contract.

Add to that his complexes about not accepting criticism, piers morgans willingness to not ask difficult questions and milk this for exposure, and his idea that criticizing the glazers will keep the fans on his side, and that basically covers all the content of that interview.

The guy has been an elite athlete, the main man, for the better part of 20 years, and in his head he is still the best in the world, and isnt dealing well with aging.

He is the only negative around this club at the moment, and that is because the team is headed in a good direction, with a capable manager who is doing very well.

So good riddance, lets get this circus out of our club and get back to our rebuild, as we finally have some optimism about the future.

I think Ronaldo may well end up in a mental institution the day he retires. He comes across completely delusional as it is.

Off topic but man, i miss Wayne. Absolute and true legend of this club.
Absolutely. Loved him as a player to bits. Also he's surprisingly great as a pundit, a lot better than the likes of Rio and Keane (at least when the theme is Ronaldo).

Are people still listening to him?

The fact that we have people calling other fans out for 'defending' Ronaldo is quite frankly disgusting, and you should hang your heads in shame for stooping to a level that is as equally pathetic as this interview.

Grow up the lot of you.
 Seems you need to grow up and mature a little. Talk about a childish overreaction.

This situation is going nowhere, unless they can legally cancel his contract, he's going to want to get paid, he won't want to lose at this point and stick it to United as much as possible, and there are absolutely no clubs with any aspiration that are going to go after him, let alone pay even half of his wages. I just don't really see how it gets resolved without United doing some legal magic and make his contract go poof.

I'm so glad this has happened. It allows us to get rid of him quickly, while also putting pressure on the parasites and their puppets in the club. I'm glad he has done this.

What I don’t understand is Ronaldo is claiming the club believed he lied about his daughter being sick in hospital. However his blatently just lied about being ill for our last 2 games with him looking perfectly fine and reporting for training.

Surely he can understand the club having doubts due to the fact rumours from his camp came out about him wanting to leave. Why did he return on his first day back from his absence with his agent? Is that normal.

I really hope the club can come out and dispel this BS

As an ex die hard fan of Ronaldo between 2006 and 2009, I don't believe him not joining the tour due to his daughter being in hospital either.

I just watched Rio's video. And to be honest, as much as I don't want to, I do agree that the club should have sat him down when he made that bullshit message about an interview back in August

I don't believe that happened purely because if it did Rio would know. Him and Ronaldo still seem like they keep in touch often and said he speaks to him privately about things

I am obviously not excusing anything that happened but this is probably why you want someone like him (or the ability to think like a player) in a role at the club

You tell me:lol::lol: Anyone who takes umbrage with fanboys being called what they are deserves a tag.
I mean I'm happy to use any of those terms. But there needs to he something for supposed United fans who worship an individual and hence can't see the club itself as the thing that actually matters.

ETH is hard at work trying to fix this broken team. If anything, he's restored the work ethic which was shamefully lacking last year. And here we have Mr. Diva performing like shit but still whining about him. Bugger off.

If you think it's ok to call people petty names due to their opinions then that's fine, but it's childish, pathetic and not needed at all.

Not sure what's childish about my reaction to be honest?

Absolutely not. Then he would serve the interests of his friend and not of the club.
Ronaldo has a contract and it restricts certain issues and one is saying anything that's detrimental to the club. This is exactly what he has done. SAF would have kicked him. Yes kicked him.

This is a Manchester United forum. Any player who gives a rotten interview like this criticizing the boss on television especially considering his prior antics is going get trashed. And people defending said behavior will get called out. Because this is a forum deducted to supporters of Manchester United not some individual player.

That natural reaction of United fans on a United forum is not 'disgusting', 'stooping low' and worthy of 'hanging your head in shame' and it's not exactly mature (this was the angle you went for) to fail to see that.

Just the “I don’t respect ETH” is enough for me that he should be released, undermining the manager who not only reinstated you into the team but also made you stand in captain two weeks ago is mental.

Spot on. This is not The Ronaldo forum. This is the Manchester United forum.

What are the chances he will do a Bobby Fischer and actually gets crazy by the time he's 50-60?
His narcissistic behavior is off-limits. If at the next club he fails again, he might start thinking the whole world is against him. Then it's about Fergie controlling FIFA and how FBI glows in the dark. It's actually pretty scary

I hope Bruno said to him when he refused to shake his hand that they are not friends, they are team mates.

Sat him down and say what? You think that stops Ronaldo being disruptive and theatrical?

The main thing that I don’t get is how many people are saying they’ll wait to watch the interview in full. Who on earth could sit there and watch a narcissist spout their delusions for 90 straight minutes without wanting to jam forks into their eyes

who is the bigger prima donna?

Ronaldo or Mbappe
There's all kinds of stories about Mbappe, 99% of them made up (mostly by the bitter Spanish press) and people eat it up.

CR7 is sitting down in an interview and trashing his manager and club. There's levels to the prima donna stuff.
