While I'm happy about it, Ronaldo has been shockingly bad

He's 2 months away from turning 38. This is not surprising at all. At that age any physical decline is likely to be immediate and dramatic
Modric will be great for eternity damnit :nervous:

I legit can’t remember another high profile case where someone’s body has gives up on them so drastically as with Ronaldo.

He wasn’t at this best last season but still did alright all things considered. Part of it must be psychological as well, but it is so strange how father time caught up with him like during the summer. Looks way out of place.
I'm 59 and I can tell you that hits you without any warning, I could play with my son with no physical issues, hiking mountains (well if we can call mountains what we have in Pennsylvania) and soon I hit 50 I started going down, really sucks to get old.

Multiple players assassinated. Unsurprisingly, Suarez involved.

Edit. Everyone is fine.

Just your cheeky little stamp there...

Think he ended up not making that much contact which may have saved him

Wishing for Ronaldo to fail seems like such a waste of time when he’s this shit but I’m gonna carry on doing it anyway.

Ronaldo has 1/10’d it that first half but you know he’ll score a penalty and then still get the headlines for equalling Eusebio, despite having played 3 times as many games.

Feels like this Ghana vs Uruguay game is over.

Felt like it was over when Ayew missed that pen to be honest

I'm so glad Ronaldo isn't our problem anymore. Thank feck for that interview and the club was able to shift him out

Ghana have bottled it. Kudus at least looked good the few times he had the ball. Also won that penalty.

Can't say Poch's "incisiveness" makes me disappointed that we looked elsewhere...

Imagine wheeling Suarez of all people out for the pre match press conference and pretending that the handball issue is a non matter and we should all move on..? Uruguay definitely know what they're doing. Pressure is on them to win and they're trying to bait Ghana into playing into the anger/revenge narrative which will pretty much suit Uruguay.
Suarez isn’t wrong though, he knew the punishment for doing that and accepted. Ghana missed the penalty back then and again today. They’re a bit soft

Pellistri seems like a little twat. Not the first time he's massively overreacted to a minor physical challenge.
