for me, it wasn’t the fact they danced, it was the way danced, the circumstance of it. “a celebration of football,” “their culture,” “it’s what they do.” if that was all the case, then why didn’t they dance when korea scored? where was tite slut dropping when the ball flew by allison?
Tbf I saw Antony doing random 360s with the ball in the warm up area when Korea scored, does that count as dancing?

And why only dance when a goal is scored? That is only one aspect of football that could be celebrated. Neymar could have done the Gangnam Style dance during the South Korean national anthem, for example.

If they had won 1-0 after a dodgy 90th minute penalty after being dominated all game then sure, dancing is too much. But they didn't.

Is it disrespectful? Only if the cup winning team refuses to celebrate the final in respect to the runners up.

Honestly, I can't believe this has become an actual topic of conversation.

Disrespectful to dance...?

I would laugh if Brazil wins the next game with a penalty on 89 minutes and the whole squad, plus the manager, start dancing.

It’s not a pleasant watch when you are on the losing side when it meant so much for you. But fck the losing side, let’s enjoy the beautiful football. Still cringy, though.

All the people saying 'it's their culture' are racists. It's like saying it's okay for the Welsh to shag sheep 'because it's their culture'. What's the point of the West spreading culture to uncivilised parts then?

They took the piss out of South Korea on the pitch and then did it all again after every goal. It was a bit cringey but Meh, brings a bit of joy to the occasion .

 You want them to dance after they conceded?
i don’t want them to dance at all, it’s just if they want to dance, they should be consistent with it. people were allowed to dance without consequence in the 70s and that’s how we ended up with abba. do you want that kind of thing to happen again on our watch?

Tbf I saw Antony doing random 360s with the ball in the warm up area when Korea scored, does that count as dancing?
oh now i am angry. fannying about is the only thing worse than dancing on the bender scale :mad:

yep, a respectful macarena during a minute’s silence for the queen or a solemn moonwalk.

exactly. they’d never have a railway network otherwise. too busy dancing around their mud huts and not enough time exploring children and/or minorities.

I know the op is playing around (as per usual) but there are a lot of serious posts in here that seem to have a problem with it, call it cringe etc and lemme just say that you guys are losers. I think it's great. Football needs more vibrant stuff in it. Go watch golf if you have a problem with things like this.
i like it and enjoy it. However for Brazil, I’m afraid it will end in tears. When they won in 94 and 02, their teams where marked by a more ‘boring’ levelheadedness and focus. This swagger has the air of 1982 and 2014 about it.

That's what I think too. Plus they'll probably get a taste of their own medicine if Griezmann does his stupid dance after scoring in the final. I just wish Germany had done choreographed dances repeatedly in that first half in 2014.

Teams who dont dance after scoring should be penalised. Or the goalscorer should be given a yellow card.

no problem at all with the players dancing after a goal - its a celebration.

I didn't much like the manager joining in though. Thought that was over the line when Korea's manager is in disarray.

Peter McClure: Something needs to be done quickly about these long goal celebrations. Give them 60 seconds to get back before the ball is kicked off again. And stop substitutes running onto the pitch to celebrate.

Easy fix for the losers. Dont want them to dance? Just dont concede a goal. Problem solved :wenger:

who cares…..live and let live……
would you be saying that if they came up to your desk at work after you accidentally ‘replied all’ to a whole office email, and did that in front of you?

I'm not your biggest fan, far from it but I wish you luck.

Football needs more, dancing is a joyous thing in life and much prefer seeing team mates dancing together than the individualistic celebrations

Not when it takes five minutes for them all to line up and do some cringe worthy pre-choreographed shite that wouldn't look out of place on Britain's Got Talent.

If you want to do a quick 10 second jig once the ball hits the net, go ahead but let's get on with the football quickly eh?
