There was fotmob article a few weeks ago ranking the best RB's in the world and he was a respectful number 20. If he keeps going the way he is he could be knocking on the top 10 by the time the season is out.

From one of the most dodgy defenders to one of the best. Great positioning, fantastic recovery speed, great in the air, strong. Really something he was lacking behind on AWB, he just surpassed him, looking at the amount of times when AWB was just too lazy to get close this player, this is a diferent story, he defends like a great seasoned defender who likes defending.
On top great stamina to join attacks and good delivery at times, although he beat his man a bit too easily for Ramos goal today...

Really no surprise in his WC performance. Diogo really was immense for the first half of the season. We absolutely need to extend his contract as soon as possible. We will not get any better young RB.
