Yes. With sad and angry face.
Pretty sad and graceless decline for one of the all time greats. What’s really sad is he still has the finishing to offer something to Portugal, and United (previously) but as a sub and rotation player but his ego prevented him from accepting that. Could have had his last season in the top league and WC as a real inspiration and player who came on to a make difference. But instead will just go out as a megalomaniac

That was utterly awesome from Portugal. The best performance from any team at this tournament by a huge distance; and the best I've ever seen them play at any tournament in my lifetime. They're second favourites now given the draw, and nobody's gonna want to face them.

Second: unusually among England fans, I was always confident heading into this World Cup that we could reach the semis, and I still am. I genuinely think we'll beat France, however hard it'll of course be. But I was also horribly wary, even fearful, of Portugal - and that was before they went up so many levels tonight. Even average Portugal sides are horrible to play against; they have so much knowhow and keep the ball fantastically well. But this Portugal? Yikes!
If they do that to a France/Brazil/Argentina then will buy into the hype of them winning it,have to remember Switzerland were a shambles defensively and through the middle.

Breathtaking,

Morocco is the first Arab country to advance into the quarter finals. They are the Dark horse of this tournament. I cant even describe how much I'm proud of them in simple words.

Showing that concurrently with the first Arab Mundial couldn't be better. It is a statement of intent that we are NOT all put hopeless in the WC. We are evolving and looking forward for more challenges.

Next, the Portuguese!

Losing respect day by day. When Leao scored, he put his hands up in frustration because Leao didn't cross instead.

Just incredible.
Doing it at the club level is one thing. Clubs are temporary. You have 10s of clubs to go to.
But doing it at the national level is something else. Especially when you are a captain and a national hero.

Portugal is winning the world cup but they are winning it in spite of Ronaldo, not really because him. But Ronaldo's presence in the last 20 years has motivated all the players to step up until all of them become so good.

Be pure comedy if Portugal win World Cup with Ronaldo on bench.

He could be our new Kleberson!
Exactly. Never buy a player based on how they play for their country in the World Cup. It’s different gravy .Some guys just play better for their countries in tournaments. Especially this tournament.

Careful we don't buy Ramos on a freak performance like we have seen from players,do like Felix though despite our desperation for ST.
He's got 9 in 11 in the league for Benfinca and a 100M release clause. Freak performance is harsh

Funny thing is if only the Swiss had mustered one more goal against Serbia they would have got South Korea yesterday and the carnage today would have been Brazil v Portugal

Which is why anyone trying to predict the World Cup is delusional. Anything can happen except England winning it

Spain usually loses on penalty shootouts so it's not really a surprise. And Bounou is a top class keeper.

If there's one team that can come crashing back down to reality it's Portugal. Morocco have something about them, more than I can say about Switzerland.

Yeah can't see them keeping you out in the same way they managed against Spain
Another side to that coin. What if Morocco score first.. can see them defend like they did Vs Spain and then hit the chasing team on a counter for a second.

Portugal would most likely do just enough to see off Morocco even if they won't replicate last night in terms of performance. It will be a stern test, though.

I think I'm right - it seems to me that the ref had "Ramos" on the back of his shirt across his shoulders. Did anyone else notice that?
Just checked - that is his name!!! - but makes you wonder!!

That grinta by the Moroccans, wow. They legit fought for every single ball, pass, shot.

If they keep that up, that could even take back the Andalous
