Mbappe is France’s star player but he’s hardly carried them. Griezmann has a case for being player of the tournament and Giroud has the 2nd most goals in the competition. They have quality all over the pitch. Mbappe wasn’t even really much a factor for most of the last ties.
On Dec. 17th it will be my birthday. I could wait until sunday to get a good gift.
It will be hard as hell. I can't ask for more from these guys honestly,. I can't ask for more from Messi. I hope they can compete and make it hard for France, then whatever happens I will be ok with it.

I think if you take Mbappe out of the French side, their whole system goes to shit. Because it's a shit system, but it works because Mbappe is ridiculous on the break, and attracts so many defenders towards him at all time. Griezmann has been great this world cup yes, but Mbappe is the key without a doubt.

Yes, but even the most biased of Ronaldo fans won't be able to argue it if Messi wins the world cup. He can even win it in a Ronaldo Euro 2016 fashion and it'll count IMO. Just needs to get over the line for his career.

I'm all for Argentina now but they have a monumental task ahead of them. France are very, very good and I never thought they'd go that far with all their injuries.

I mean on paper a France-Brazil is a lot tastier than one against Argentina. It will be a very different game than the previous goal fest in Russia.Us then
France are efficient as feck, a bit like Real Madrid in UCL. They don’t look like threatening, look second best for a large part of the game, but still manage to win.

It didn't seem like France even overly tried to get Mbappe into either of the England or Morocco games in the confidence they could manage it around him mostly, and soaking up attacks. If they were successful, restart and regain which they did vs England and settle back into that pattern. Part of this was probably their confidence in getting to the final and then allowing far more reign to go off.

Watch their defence just shut up shop out of the blue though after Argentina throw in Di Maria with Messi and Alvarez to go full England and attack for pens and close free kicks. Since they still look clumsy as feck, but we're obviously a bit better against Morocco... even if they still allowed to Morocco endless time in the box at times, they simply forgot how to shoot.
