You’re aware you’re watching a World Cup Final, yes?
Yes, so? Does WC Final have different kind of grass, or maybe lower gravity or something?

I expect "mental pressure" answer, but at top tier football, handling that pressure is expected from most players.

Things he’s just surpassed Henry, Platini and Zidane one by one in this final

If you aware it’s a World Cup final, at a bare minimum you should be aware of the great players who have wilted under such a spotlight and pressure.

As there are tons of other great players who handle it perfectly, it is not some rare thing to be deciding factor for anything.

Worst take of all time to match the best final of all time?
Yeah, like I said, second coming of Jesus we are witnessing here. :wenger:

If he gets the domestic success in a more competitive league alongside a UCL with consistency over a decade he'll be up there for the best ever. It's the longevity of Ronaldo / Messi that is the cause for their reputation not moments but periods of dominance.

Had an amazing game. Barely been involved but every single involvement has either been a goal or a near goal/assist.

Name the players who have scored 2 penalties in a World Cup Final, let alone hatricks under the biggest pressure there is in football. Full-stop.

For biased fanboys, I don't doubt it is.

I don't rate players by numbers and statistics only, it is too simplistic as too much context is in play to judge by that only.
As I consider stupid to judge player based on World Cup trophies, there are so many great players that were/are not lucky to have good national team around them.

The Messi vs Mbappe narrative beforehand was unfair on him as he's never going to live up to that but he did the stuff today.

He is better than any French player I've ever seen, although he has to maintain the same consistency for a few more years to stake that claim.
His record at 24 years is ridiculous already.

He's incredible.

But difference is Messi and Ronaldo did it for almost 2 decades. If he can keep it up the same he will be up there with the GOAT'S.

Gutted for him, hatrick and still loses.

You just know he could take pens all night against that gamesmanship bastad and score them all.

I hadn’t seen much of him at PSG but now see what all the fuss is about.

Would love to see him at United.

He's one of the most terrifying players I've seen in my life. You are so uncomfortable as long as he's on the pitch
