Why is Freddy Adu being brought into this saga?
I really don't think going to the MLS is any better than going to Saudi Arabia.I guess he's trying to be wealthier than messi?
Maybe plans to buy a club down the road with all the money he will be getting (tax free).
What a sad end to his career though. Could have gone to the MLS or actually stayed with us.
It's honestly disgusting. A sad stain on this forum.Blatant racism against Arabs is normalised..
I don't think it was money, it was his ego - he couldn't suffer being a player with reduced minutes. He probably still believes he's better than all of the current United batch. Why couldn't he have just knuckled down and played to Ten Hag's system for the rest of season?
He could have helped the team he supposedly loves have as good a season as possible, left on a high and maybe even play himself into the thoughts of a champions league team.
Money is obviously more important to him than sporting integrity. Such a sad and stupid end to his time in European football. I just can't get my head around the mentality.
The important thing you're forgetting, is that if you were Ronaldo, you'd also be a cnut

Al Nassr coach Garcia: "Cristiano? I wanted to bring Messi first"
Not sure Ronaldo is gonna break records at 38 just because it's the Saudi League, the league is still physically very demanding, and Ronaldo's pace and physicality are gone.If he moved to another good league he would have cemented the fact that he isn't capable of scoring at the same rate anymore. Going to the Saudi league means he can bang them in against plodders and claim that he would have been doing it here if we hadn't shafted him.
MLS is higher quality, more (fading) top level players, some young talent and disorganised defences, it’s an entertaining league.I really don't think going to the MLS is any better than going to Saudi Arabia.
Both are semi retirements to be honest.
The quality of the defenders and keepers will be poor, he will definitely score a lot more goals than he would in a top league. Not sure Ronaldo is gonna break records at 38 just because it's the Saudi League, the league is still physically very demanding, and Ronaldo's pace and physicality are gone.
Unless the royals pay money to opponent defenders to let Ronaldo score, i don't see how he is gonna score for fun in Saudi Arabia.
His scoring abilities haven’t declined that much… he will absolutely hammer goals against the cannon fodder. But that’s meaningless, even by Saudi standards. I think locals are expecting him to score against the “big teams” there and win them trophies… It would come as a huge disappointment if he doesn’t.The quality of the defenders and keepers will be poor, he will definitely score a lot more goals than he would in a top league.
Ronaldo: this guy is not even a coachThis is hilarious

For fans of Ronaldo him choosing football and glory over money was always something celebrated such as making moves to top clubs rather than sugar daddy clubsAll this talk about the money is just the way his fans portray the transfer as not as bad as it is.
Lets be honest, he basically semi retired and all that after that interview in which he burned his bridges to United. And after all that he ends up in Saudi fekin Arabian league.
Its hilarious.
Fans of Ronaldo will always choose what suits their agenda so actually no, its not nonsensical, far from it.For fans of Ronaldo him choosing football and glory over money was always something celebrated such as making moves to top clubs rather than sugar daddy clubs
now he finished that idea by joining a club for money so your theory there is pretty nonsensical
I’ve not read a single fan post glorifying it. In fact I’m a fan who thinks it’s a shame he had to end his career with a money grab.Fans of Ronaldo will always choose what suits their agenda so actually no, its not nonsensical, far from it.
I meant the internet, not the redcafe.I’ve not read a single fan post glorifying it. In fact I’m a fan who thinks it’s a shame he had to end his career with a money grab.
maybe you’re just paranoid and angry?
If by internet you mean twitter than say as such. Even low standard fan pages on Facebook are pretty much mourning this move.I meant the internet, not the redcafe.
No, I'm not paranoid or angry, why would I be?
Maybe I touched your nerve, you being a fan and all?
I'm not sure I've seen much evidence of this for United or for Portugal this season. He'll maybe bag a few goals here or there but hammer them? I'm not convinced he's capable anymore. He looks about as done as he could be.His scoring abilities haven’t declined that much… he will absolutely hammer goals against the cannon fodder. But that’s meaningless, even by Saudi standards. I think locals are expecting him to score against the “big teams” there and win them trophies… It would come as a huge disappointment if he doesn’t.
I dont know what Facebook pages you've been watching but most of those are putting lot of stats trying to prove he's better than Messi and also are raving about how he'll brake records in Saudi Arabia and about their instagram account getting new fans and so on.If by internet you mean twitter than say as such. Even low standard fan pages on Facebook are pretty much mourning this move.
You sound angry because a regular discussion of his insane salary turned into some paranoid thoughts about Ronaldo fAnBoys. Weird to bring it up when I’ve seen nothing of the sort.
No, people are just quick to shout racism, islamophobia and xenophobia to any criticism aimed at abhorrent regimes such as Saudi Arabia. It's honestly disgusting. A sad stain on this forum.
Again with the paranoia of “defending Ronaldo” when I just talked about how negatively this move reflects on himI dont know what Facebook pages you've been watching but most of those are putting lot of stats trying to prove he's better than Messi and also are raving about how he'll brake records in Saudi Arabia and about their instagram account getting new fans and so on.
If saying this makes me angry and paranoid then so be it. Its a bit too dramatic to call me that imo just cause I made an observation.
In any case its strange you felt the need to defend him like this.
You really want to make a meal out of this?Again with the paranoia of “defending Ronaldo” when I just talked about how negatively this move reflects on him
Not really. People think all racism and Arab hate is fair game just because it’s Saudi Arabia. People make fun of their attire, their looks and their culture that many other countries share in the region as well. No, people are just quick to shout racism, islamophobia and xenophobia to any criticism aimed at abhorrent regimes such as Saudi Arabia.
Camel shaggers is not criticism, its downright racism. No, people are just quick to shout racism, islamophobia and xenophobia to any criticism aimed at abhorrent regimes such as Saudi Arabia.
The Qatar threads a lot of people showed their ass in regards to this. They support these abhorrent regimes because frankly they agree with them but can’t say that openly, so instead defend the countries and tell everyone to leave them alone. No, people are just quick to shout racism, islamophobia and xenophobia to any criticism aimed at abhorrent regimes such as Saudi Arabia.
