Shame he didn't get his goal, he played well and we should've got the ball to him more often. It's encouraging that his level isn't really dropping at the moment.

Fantastic for the first 25 minutes or so. Faded a bit, but had a brilliant final 10-15 minutes. He's fecking 18, and he's going to be a class.

Unfortunately I have a bad feeling that he's not gonna stick around very long.
One of the Spanish teams will try and get him. Probably Madrid, they’re known for always raiding our players.

Hope we tie him down for a long period. He makes things happen even if some things could be better. But that you forgive because some of his decision making especially second half was sublime

Started the game like a house on fire... felt like he was getting more and more frustrated with himself for not making more of his chances though.

Just end up saying the same things about Garnacho these days. Brave, determined, doesn't go missing even when it goes wrong. Really coming to the boil at just the right time.

Sometimes when you predict swhich of the young players can make it in top flight long-term, tehre are a lot of players flying under the radar. I thought about him and Rashford to become decent palyers but never taking it to another level. Hopefully he's not another Januzaj and keep working hard, because we just seem to discover a little gem.

Already very useful player and borderline starter.

he started really well...created four or five chances early on that he took himself but they didn't come off. Started playing a bit more with the team as the first half went on.

second half, much like everyone else, a bit sluggish and slow so he never really got that involved.

Has a beautiful first touch, kills the ball dead so he can attack the defender straight away.

One of gripes with Antony, his first touch often leaves a bouncing ball so he's slowed down completely before he can attack.

Kid got serious potential, once his finishing and decision making improves, he will explode.

Have the same feeling with him as Vinicius, that agression, desire, and constant threat. When it comes together, he'll be top class.

I liked Greenwood but I mean when I saw them play for first team. Garnacho is always on the go. Greenwood was incredibly gifted finisher but some games he was anonymous. Garnacho more rounded talent imo.
I'd say that's rewriting it a bit, Greenwood looked like the complete attacker and really just needed a coach (and someone off the pitch to guide him clearly). The same age season as Garnacho now, Greenwood got 17 goals in all comps and had turned into a starter in the 2nd half... Garnacho has the coach, but doesn't have Greenwoods level of talent IMO, not as rounded as an attacker. More of a raw, pacey/tricky winger I'd say is what he looks like. Has the tools needed to become class though.

Madrid would be a weird move for him. They already have Vinicius, who will hold down the left wing for years to come.

This kid is easily 80-100m player if he gets consistent game time in another league to develop, let’s hope we tie him up to a new contract soon.

What about Rashford?
I dont think Rashford was seen as a super talent when he was playing in the youth squad. Pogba, Morrison, Greenwood and now Garnacho were, even before they made their debuts, touted as potential future stars for Manchester United. Cant really remember Rashford ever getting mentions like that.

Garnacho was getting the hype and is now showing it for the first team too. Lets hope he will have a better Manchester United career than any of those former potential future stars!

This is what sets him apart. Greenwood was finisher. Anonymous from the sides. And we can get a striker but a left winger who can keep width is worth his weight in gold.

I came to say this but then wondered who Vinicius backup is. Maybe garnacho will see being a backup there as something fruitful, play a bit part in a Madrid team and learn a ton, saving his legs a bunch of miles and being there if and when Vinicius leaves.

I have the same feeling he’ll leave, something about him reminds me of Messi’s movement, not sure what it is. If we do keep him for a couple more years it’ll be a great sign, and as long as we don’t lose him on a free

If Garnacho played every week he'd be class. He has much more competition now. Not a slight on Greenwood but if he didn't score I can barely remember him doing much in games.
Everyone has different views on player but for me I prefer this type of player. Look at his vision and talent to pick out that assist for Mctominay's goal v Villa in the cup. Unreal ability for an 18 year old.

Eh, really disagree here. A player like Greenwood, with the potential that he had, is the most expensive position in football by a very long distance. Hell, look at Darwin Nunez, he went for 100m... There are a lot of left wingers out there, different types but they just aren't as hard to find as a player like Greenwood who was supposed to develop as an all round, central striker, with his blend of technique, control, pace, power, and ability to finish in any type of way. Really was such a big shame from a pure footballing stand point to see him throw his career away, because that was a once in a generation talent IMO, as good as any since the class of 92 stars IMO. Is what it is, but I remember saying it when it happened, that it's a 100m player just thrown in the trash for the club all of a sudden and it'd take a while and a lot of money just to get our attack back to where it was. Being a left footer too.. He had games where he was anonymous, others where he was class, but he was developing out wide but definitely his future lied through the middle.

Garnacho is very clearly a proper inverted winger, more clear in his development probably, but hopefully he keeps it up. Sky is the limit for him.

Garnacho isn't ready to play every week yet, the expectations for him to repeat what's he's been doing every game is too much for someone of his age and experience

I agree ease them in and dont burn them out in their early career. We are all giddy to see him play more but we need to be patient. Great talent and will have a good career

Yeah we have better options at the moment but it's only a matter of time before he starts ripping it up. Wasn't expecting him to be this good this early, was expecting next season to be his breakthrough.

He'll pick up a lot of assists throughout his career due to how often he looks for the cutback when he goes outside, the benefit of being two-footed.
