Checking to see if any update since he landed in Manchester regarding if he’s had his medical or not but looks like we’ve got carried away with a singing contest before he’s actually officially signed  . Might as well join in then before I get my coat :D

Tune of “heaven is a place on earth”

“Ooh baby, do you know what that’s worth”
”Wout Weghorst is the best on earth”
“The lanky Dutchman is what we need”
“He’s gonna win us the Premier League”
To the tune of go west
Weghorst, from the orange land,
Weghorst, he’s a big Dutch man,
Weghorst, he’s united red,
Weghorst, scoring with his head!! And….repeat

Is there a training session before the city game? Regardless if he registers on time would he really be put into the squad for City?

There's no way he starts against city. I'd be shocked. Just look at how ETH has handled all the signings. There is now way Wout would be up to speed and tempo with our group. I could see him on the bench and mayyyybe a "feck it let's try win this" sub in the last 10 mins.

It could be set up perfectly for him. The game is at level pegging with 15 minutes to go. Ten Hag throws WW on. In extra time, Casemiro wins the ball in midfield passes to Erikson who has drifted out wide, Erikson looks up and sends a wicked ball into the box. Ake and Stones can only watch as the 6ft6 Dutchman outjumps everyone and heads it down into the net. The City players surround the ref, they want VAR to check it. Walker is playing him onside, the goal stands. Manchester is red.

I know ETH likes him a good Dutchman. But, given the rumours that Memphis was available on loan I'm a little surprised he has chosen Wout over Memphis as his attacking Dutchman. Do you think he prefers Wout? Or was Memphis not available?

Seen it reported today that this chap as well as the type of hard pressing player ETH wants at the club is also a strong character with great belief in himself , something ETH is always on the look out for as well.

It was reported in some of the papers during the week that he was not well liked in the Burnley dressing room as he came across as arrogant and thought he was above Burnley level , that would not worry me. You need players who believe in their own ability.

But this is a huge step up for him and now he has to match the 'arrogance' with performances , he will never get a chance like this again. This is his one shot.

Let's hope he has noted the cautionary tale that is João Felix and not start off too aggressive.

Often goes a bit quiet just after a player has flown in,whether we make the 12pm deadline depends on how much of medical got sorted tonight

Looks like he’s in form, just hope he doesn’t go in for any two footed lunges like Felix did last night.

It takes a miracle during a hybrid moon eclipse at a night predicted to be the end of the world based on Mayan calendar for someone as lanky and robotic as he is to put in a flying tackle like that.

Think he will be a much better signing for us than the likes of Dong Fangzhou, Manucho, Mama Biram Diouf and Ighalo.

It might be too early in tomorrows game but anyone who thinks he's come to warm the bench is simply deluded about Martials quality. He's been anonymous for the last 4 games.

Given ETH desire to press from the front and the numbers WW can achieve doing this, i think it's more likely in the big games that WW starts to provide pressure on their back line from minute 1. Martial in his current form is more likely the bench option.

As someone else said on this thread a few days ago, it's hard to imagine Martial keeping any competent no 9 out of the starting line up.

I heard that WW is already messaging United players to train better before his arrival.

He doesn't need to play against City at all, he just needs to qualify to play. Just need Pep to try to integrate a new target man into his match plans a couple of days before the game, our best chance at winning this is if he overthinks it.

Yeah qualify to play means their plans throughout this week will be thrown a bit

I find the 2 goal Burnley stint funny because he scored as many off the bench against the World Cup winners
