AWB looks good without Lindelof. Everyone looks good without Lindelof. Our defence looks solid without Lindelof. Our midfielders don't get weak suicidal balls without Lindelof. Take him away.
Lindelof got a boost from Maguire in the same way as Martial got from Ronaldo.
Now Ronaldo and Maguire aren't there, people are remembering the big downsides of these guys.

We really need to ship Fred off in the summer and get a much much better replacement in. Amazing how many times our midfield possession or attacking play breaks down because of him
Sometimes I have hard time accepting he is left footed. A player's strong foot shouldn't be this bad

in fairness to Souness I think that's the most articulate analysis I've ever heard from him

just incredible attention to detail on how to do someone

You didn't watch us during covid lock down before and after his injuries? His contribution had been high and low during Ole's years until this year. It was definitely part of developing and his current celebration will tell you how much he put efforts to get here.
I did. Did you? His goal contributions were 34 and 36. Which is high. It plummeted for a season, and then immediately picked up. If you think that's all a coincidence, you're free to thunk that.

No idea about the bizzare point about his celebration. Why wouldn't he celebrate scoring?

We would be screaming for a red if it was a challenge by a Leicester player

hate to say it but sourness is correct. We got lucky

The more I see of Garnacho, the more I think that right now his best usage is coming on in the second half to inject pace and change the flow of the game.
Part of the process and I hope he sees it. Pretty sure he's getting a rocket at half time

Weghorst for ETH is what Fellaini was Jose
Not sure. Fellaini could at least head it and score some goals.
Weigy is like some tall guy plucked off the local park who can do some extremely basic jobs ok.

I would take Garnacho and Weghourst off and put McTominay and Elanga on in for the start of second half. Something has to change.

edit :- Forgot about Sancho, so yeah maybe Sancho for Garnacho.

I think that’s the whole meaning of the celebration. Keep calm, stay focused and stay humble. You’ve won nothing yet. Focus focus focus. I love it.
Totally agree. I've noticed recently he never smile when we're are only one goal ahead. But he does smile when we score the second even if he's not the one who score.

Leicester will score this half if we keep on losing silly possession.

I’ve noticed how ETH was fuming at Bruno when he tried his usual hollywood ball, it doesn’t help when the team couldn’t string two passes together and Leicester have been threatening on the break

Forget the striker situation for now and just fix this fecking midfield. We will never compete for the league if Fred, McTomminay, Eriksen or budget loan signings have to start
We have to have some sort of understudy for Casemiro next season, can’t go from him to headless chickens like Fred and Mctominay.

Sourness with 'red card all day long' boll**s. Its like he comes to Utd games with an agenda.
Of course he does, he's the least impartial pundit on TV right now. Even Carragher can be unbiased when he's involved with one of our matches, but Souness is just a grumpy old cnut.

Not really, we've let them have the ball and dealt with everything they've thrown at us.

We took our chance, we only needed one. They haven't and they've had plenty.

I think we'll step it up a bit in the 2nd half though.
They've had us toast down our left hand side.

Can't say I agree at all with that bud

Leicester dominant first 20 minutes. Great goal and we started playing better since then. Shame about Dalot's chance. Think Sabitzer was lucky there not to get sent off. Casemiro's red was recently so maybe that was influencing their decision though it never should.

This is far from over and Leicester will be confident they can still get a result. Perhaps McTominay coming on would give us more in midfield. Sancho also on for one of attacking players.

How can Fred go from one extreme to the other. Theres no middle ground or consistency. Makes me think the good performances are flukes in the same way a stopped clock is right twice a day.

    We're already cruising mate.
Not sure you've been watching the same game as the rest of us. Another day we're 2 goals and a man down.

Feels like a smash and grab at the moment.

I really don't get posts like these. It's like stating the most obvious fact.
Take out our two best players and we are a lesser team - Yes, but that's true for any team
Take out Saka and Odegard and arsenal aren't as good, take out KDB and Rodri/Haaland and City aren't as good, take out Messi and Xavi and that legendary Barca team aren't that good.
Rashford and Case are our best players and if you take them out of the team we won't be as good as we are with them - obviously.
People say/used to say the same thing about DDG - without him we won't be doing this well. Yes, but he's our player and sometimes our best player and best players make a difference, that's why they are the best.
We are probably a bit over reliant on them but so are all teams on their star players, unless you have a couple of world class superstars in every position
De Gea. Shaw. Bruno. Take them out and we are in the Conference.

Souness being a cnut and arguing Sabitzer should have seen red.. feck him.

Faes lunges at the ball the same Sabitzer goes for it, it was accidental, no way a red card

Something definitely needs to change in terms of controlling the game. They are breaking on us too easily through the middle and their right side. Sabitzer/Fred instinct is to get forward and there is no one really responsible for just managing the middle of the park. We can bring in McTomminay and let him and Fred sit a bit more and let Sabitzer take the more advance role.

Garnacho tries defensively to help but, either is just not 100% committed or is to easily gone past. Not sure if taking him off is the answer yet but, ETH needs him to work a bit harder to stem their threat from that side.

I agree with all of that. I think ETH is a good man-manager and will be able to get that through to him, at least I hope it gets through to him. There's no shame at all in being used in that type of way and I have no doubt that there will come a time where he will be starting every single week, especially as he grows and matures in an even better player. But right now, I think that's where he is best suited. I actually think he'll get more goals and assists this way, running at tired defenders or making space for others. It's harder to do that at the start of games.
