We aren’t getting Bellingham and our biggest issue is up front so I’m ok with spending 100+ million on him. We’ll probably get Rabiot and maybe Sabitzar on a permanent so that will strengthen the midfield without costing much. We’ll probably sell Maguire and Baille and use those funds to get another defender, maybe Timber or the centre half from Napoli

Depends whether Rabiot could be a backup CDM for Casa, yeah Timber offers someone who can play at RB & CB but maybe they are looking for a pure CB such as Min-Jae.

Yeah we definitely need that, however unfortunately we won't get a lower price as Laurentiis is nightmare to deal with
true...he won't budge on price and doesn't really need to. The one saving grace will be if they are able to win the scudetto, that will allow Osimhen a bit of loyalty leverage in making negotiations a bit less tension filled

Bailly is already sold, and the fee is negligible.

love the fact that he openly admits he wants to play in the premier league...napoli won't be easy to negotiate with but winning the scudetto just might help allow them to part with Osimhen

clearly this should be the #1 guy we go after in the summer...Kane would be brilliant but age and money make it unrealistic. Ramos for Benfica should be option #2 as this kid is young and a brilliant goal scorer. Reminds me a lot of RVN when watching him play.

Really comes down to finances and choices of what is priority. Osimhen would take most, if not all of the budget so getting another quality CM might be problematic.

Ramos and a really good CM would probably cost what Osimhen would.

Quite honestly would take keeping Sabitzer (cover Casa or partner),maybe bring in Tielemans to rotate with Eriksen IF we can get Osimhen or Kane

and i think that really is the one major dilemma over the summer...which becomes priority based on finances. My only concern with Kane is his age and just how long he would be effective. I get a bit of a Ronaldo vibe(play only not attitude) when thinking of him at United post age 30...not a strong presser of the ball, not going to give us a third counter attacking option with pace but will need to play him b/c of who he is and his wage packet.

Osimhen is the polar opposite but not NEARLY as polished an attacker as Kane but both would probably cost the same amount.

Spending 120m on Kane or Osimhen, would we have the money to sign Sabitzer for say another 20m from Bayern? does he think the young lad Mainoo is ready? or Izqbal?

Flip side....Ramos is young, quality finisher, cost half the price and very experienced for his age. It would allow you to bring in a more dynamic midfielder to add some youth and energy which we badly need. Hopefully a guy who can carry the ball with some pace and athleticism that suits the premier league.

It's really a fascinating debate and one that will honestly define the summer transfer window.

Yeah maybe we look at Ramos only IF can't do a deal for Kane/Oshimen or he can somehow persuade De Jong/Bellingham to partner Casa

think DeJong window is clearly closed....Bellingham is an option especially if we can secure CL status for next year but he's going to cost Kane/Osimhen type money so that hurts us up top with a #9

Would love him here and we’d have the striker position sorted for years but it seems like we’re going to go all out for Harry Kane this summer. Certainly not going to complain about that but in terms of longevity Osimhen is the better option. That said there’s no guarantees how he’ll perform in the PL, whereas there’s no more of a sure thing in the league in terms of goal scoring than Harry Kane.

What do you think about Barella/Bennacer partnering Casa, least they might be open to the idea of actually leaving Inter/Milan

Yeah it's just how long can he keep being a sure fire thing in the Premier League

I don’t see Bellingham here. Like with Haaland he would already be here if he wanted us. I kinda hope he goes to Madrid - dont want to see him line up against us in the prem!

I reckon he’s good for another 3/4 seasons. He’s never relied on pace anyway so if he loses a yard it won’t really be an issue.
IF we could have him for 3 years and get Osimhen at 26/27 that would be his peak age but like I say he won't wait that long for a move

granted i don't watch Serie A every week so i don't know on a weekly basis how they perform but having seen them play, both are outstanding talents and probably around the 40m mark as both are on longer deals but both want to move on. Barella gives you a tough, smart italian discipline footballer. He's a bit of cross between Bruno and Casa. Bennacer, i like that he's left footed, has some bite to him and a bit more athletic than Barella but still with a quality dribbling skillset. Do we want an arsenal reject though?

my thing is that Erik has shown the desire to bring in guys he's familiar with and comfortable with....which clearly circles back to Kudus who's a bit of a different style to those other two guys.

the good thing is that they are all mid 20's and could play here for 4-5 years in the primes of their careers.

Never realised one of them was Arsenal reject,in regards to Kudus what sort of role would he play in that midfield do you think?

not so sure about that as he made the move to germany at such a young age to help wiht his development knowing he would play week in and week out which he wouldn't have gotten in the prem. Madrid will go after both haaland and bellingham this summer and they could easily land both as money won't be an issue for them. Liverpool have a lot of players getting past their prime years so splashing on Bellingham is a big risk.

Bennacer i'm pretty certain played for Arsenal in his younger years, unless that's a different Bennacer.

Kudus played the 8 a lot of Ten Hag at Ajax....fantastic dribbler of the ball and likes to carry it. Only concern is defensively playing alongside Casa and Bruno. That would be putting A LOT of pressure on Casa to cover for two guys who are more attack minded than defensive minded.

No way do I see Haaland leaving after a year, however think Bellingham going there and following in footsteps of other brits is possible.

Getting it back on topic I still have Osimhen as number one choice, however if Erik feels Kane can be turned into winner then will get on board with that idea too.

That would be the ideal scenario but very unlikely to happen. He’s going to move this summer or the next and if he goes to an another top club and performs it will be pretty much impossible to get him out of there.

don't see it either with Haaland...

United is about scoring goals, playing attacking football...Osimhen suits that bill and fits in perfectly with how Ten Hag wants to play. That would be my #1 priority this summer. Sell Martial and use that money to bring in a midfielder if we can get enough for him.

I think for next season we could get away with having bruno, casa, eriksen, fred, sancho can play the 10...sell Scott and bring in Sabitzer....then give the young kids like Mainoo and Izqbal a chance to play. if it's a struggle then revisit january 2024 to bolster the midfield options.

Easily the best option out there. I don't think we can afford him, but he would be absolutely ideal for us and would terrorise the premier league.

My only reservations are can his quality translate from Serie A to England, also people say his technique and control is suspect
