Arsenal's schedule is not something I've bothered to look into, but broadly speaking you most definitely can have easier and harder fixture lists. The fact you play the same 38 games in a season is only one element of the competition.
I get you can have easier and harder parts of fixture lists 'on paper'. For instance Liverpool are about to play City, Chelsea and Arsenal back to back, but then should have a very decent run in. But that can be true of most teams, who'll have easier and harder runs over the course of a season?

Wow! I know Arsenal are cringe but this is next level stuff. Can you imagine the reaction if we did this for Eriksen’s return?
It's so cringe like, clubs producing content for their websites and such in this day and age. Who'd have thought it?!

Schedules always look easier when the team is winning. Like going to Fulham 3 days after playing in lisbon, normally thats a tough away game on the Sunday, we played exceptional football and made it look easy.

Its not about playing midweek once every 3/4 weeks then playing weekend. Its more about playing 2 times a week for 2/3 months in a row.

Obviously with Arsenal, they out the domestic cups, so they dont have those 6-8 extra fixtures and qualified to the last 16 so didnt need the extra 2 fixtures.

Regardless of whether you are winning or losing, playing extra 8/9 games. Arsenal have played 37 games and Manutd 44 games this season. 7 more games in 2/3 months is quite alot.

Weird how this thread (and their manager) erodes any modicum of goodwill one might have for them

They're also easier if the teams you play are missing their best player.

If we win at Anfield: « Yeah lucky gunners, Liverpool players were exhausted after playing 3 games in 8 days against big opposition (City and Chelsea before Arsenal) »

Nah, Viera is obviously going to throw them an easy win on Sunday, so they get back on track.

Bottling in progress. Apple crumble starting from the weekend.
Hope we don't get a repeat of when we lost in FA Cup to City then went on a little blip and lost to Everton, drew with Brentford and lost to City again in the league! Hopefully we've learned from that. I hope Saliba and Tomi are OK and available for the weekend.

The injuries are probably biggest worry at the moment. Especially Saliba. Although he looked ok coming off.

I'm glad they're out but it could be good for them in the long run if they clear their heads. The 'every game is a cup final' cliche will be heard a lot but they can at least focus on every league game now unlike City who are in two other competitions.

Would that not be a fair bit of context about the win?

They’ve had a bit of good fortune with late winners and what not recently. Ran out tonight.

Pretty much back to one game a week now for them so no excuse regarding the title!

Was at the game. Vieira is so weak under pressure. He lost us the control of midfield. Arteta should have remplace him sooner (begin of extra time).
I had nearly a heart attack with the miss chance by Trossard.
Sporting had only one chance (saved by Ramsdale) but where impressive with their press and keeping their shape

Glad they are out of the Europa now. Didnt fancy them to be honest and at least it might benefit them in the long run.

When you think of how big a club Arsenal are, their record in Europe is fecking awful.
They are only big in revenue and number of obnoxious fans.

A no-entity in Europe on the small and big stage, with even lower ambitions

Not really. I mean you haven’t won shit. That’s not a great season for Arsenal. Amazing things? Well you’ve had a good league campaign so far.

That was a masterclass in how not to approach a European tie
