I have a bit of sympathy of him to be honest. Imagine being a foot taller than Martinez and being in his pocket all game long. Not being able to outmuscle or outpace a dwarf, not being able to have space to breath for 60 minutes must've taken its toll on him.

Several posts in the match thread suggested that we should go in for Mitrovic. Hopefully they were deleted after the meltdown we all witnessed.

I thought it was a good tussle but Martinez was coming out on top. His best moment was the goal obviously, from a set piece, and turning Maguire and getting him booked.
Martinez was following him around the pitch and not giving him an inch. Mitrovic even complained to the ref after one little tussle with Martinez. That's unlike him.

Yep. This is a serious issue. Governing bodies cannot let this stand. It’s a full on assault on the ref. If they don’t throw the book at him, it’s basically open season on all match officials.

Still, if i was one his teammates today he'd have pissed me off no end, and so would the manager. At 1-1 and down to ten they can still play for pens, or considering that we'd not really done that much up until the penalty incident they maybe even could have nicked one and won it. Down to 9, and without the manager making tactical adjustments they had no chance.

Didn’t see the game, was expecting to see Mitrovic head butt the ref and get his lad out (or something like that), given posts like this. He deserved to go, but was it THAT bad?

I think if he took his red card and walked away he may have been ok. But to continue to go after the ref after the red card was a bit scary. I really thought he was going to deck someone.
