Rodgers has his defenders in media that's why there is the "he's not been backed spin, with any luck Spurs or Chelsea will do something dumb and hire him in the summer, he's been here 4 years tomorrow.
I remember him being linked to United job and I was so mad that I would kept Ole in the job. Don't think he should be ever considered for a big club job.

What’s the point? Both parties have needed a change for over a year now. Rodgers took them as far as he could and even won the FA Cup.
It has all gone downhill since.

Oh man that was my nightmare. At one point I was certain it was happening.

Lip balm is looking in the direction of White Hart Lane.
Oh please, please, please make that happen !!
Anything to get him away from Leicester .
I have supported Leicester for 60 years and never hated a manager so much.

Surely that’s recently bias mate, Taylor, Levein, Puel etc. Rodgers had a great first 2 full seasons

who would you bring in though, it's easy to say you want rid, but there isn't exactly a plethora of top quality managers who will be lining up to take that job.

that's never been the case with us though we're not going to get top quality managers, we were Rodgers way back into the prem that's why we got him

I remember when this guy was seriously in the running to replace Ole. You probably don't have to look that hard to find old posts from people on here who wanted him ahead of someone like EtH...how the turntables!

In fairness, I guess you could argue he's been let down by a lack of signings and losing key players, and so this season isn't a true reflection of his ability as a coach. However, it's hard for me to look past surrendering top 4 spots so late on in seasons, so consistently.

Ideal world candidate won’t come, that’s Poch, we have done quality young lads he’d integrate brilliantly but I like the look of Will Still
Interesting shout, but would be quite risky and probably take a while to get going, if it was to be successful.

Do you think the fans and board would have the patience for that?

that's what he and his media mates will say truth is we couldn't sign for FFP reasons as he blew so much money, he's a coach, don't let him pick the players

as I said above, we are not going to get a big name we have to go for the next big thing, so long as we don't look like going down pretty much any manager will get time

I was one of the people who wasn't that averse to it. I'll gladly admit that I'm a fecking moron who had no idea what he was talking about!

Thank Christ we waited and got EtH in the end. One of the few good decisions we've made in the past decade.

Should have been sacked a long time ago, while the World Cup was going on at the latest. Pure incompetence that they waited until after losing once the latest international break was over to act when they've got two more games this week and then away to City after that. Will be ugly for them.

he should have gone last summer spent the second half of last season slating the squad and they knew we couldn't sign loads due to FFP issues so the manager had to go.

Cue the so called experts popping up telling us how he was excellent and would have kept us up having clearly never watched us

It was always going to end this way ultimately. Unfortunately, his tenure will always be remembered for what he couldn’t achieve than what he did. 5th place finish for Leicester is no joke and would be considered a bigger achievement had it not be a bottle job for the 4th position two seasons in a row. Again, he remains one of the few to win a trophy outside of the big clubs. Should’ve gone sooner but overall his tenure was a successful one.

I think it was time, it’s clear the players need a new voice. I still rate him as a manager.

he'd be a brilliant appointment for Spurs, but line up the man you want at the same time for 2 years later, he has a short shelf life but his immediate impact is there

Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
Yeah, was time for Rodgers to go.

Still rate him as a manager and he’s achieved far more than Potter for example.

He seems like he’d be a great manager to play for as well if you’re a creative player (not so much a defender…), but the cycle had ended at Leicester for him.

So… who will be next Foxes manager…?

Potter as soon as he gets the sack could be a candidate

His friendly persona and expertise in an attractive style of football make him great at augmenting winning teams, but he lacks the charisma and mettle to jump start the team again when things go awry.
