And here’s the important bit. Make your decision on the basis that we will compete in next season’s CL regardless.

FA Cup for me. Always had a soft spot for it and been way too long since we last won it. Plus winning a cup competition with this City team in the last four would be a hell of an achievement.

Europa League by far. There's always been something sexier about winning a European trophy, and we get a crack at the super cup

Europa. European trophies are special. Wembley sucks.

That said, I would choose the FA Cup if it otherwise cockblocks a City treble.

If we beat City in a cup final that would be superb.

Europa. Extra prize money for transfers, super cup game and pot 1 seeding.

Think we'll be out of both by next Sunday though.

Really. Nothing about last night showed me Seville can score an actual goal without a massive slice of luck. There is always the chance of the Europa League juju though.

I'm pessimistic but us and tricky away games don't mix.

Definitely the FA cup if CL is guaranteed. Stop City and a potential treble. In all honesty though I’m relying on Arsenal to stop that, not us.

Think they will comfortably beat us on current form. Ours tends to wilt towards the end of seasons whilst they can easily go unbeaten.

This. Voted EL, but with these two conditions (CL guaranteed + City treble otherwise) it's obviously the FA cup.

Aren't you a top seed in the Champions league draw by winning the Europa league?

Grew up watching and loving the FA Cup but it's sadly lost its charm

50/50 for me on the strength of the trophies themselves. Europa has sex appeal, but FA would mean domestic cup double.

But if we don't win the FA Cup, city will. So there's no contest.

EL every single day of the year. Vital we get back in the CL and also winning the EL gives us pot 1 seeding.

FA Cup will just be a nice bonus.

Problem with the bolded part is europa league winners get pot 1, so you can't really do that.

Anyway, europa league for me.

FA Cup but only on the basis that Champions League qualification is safe.

I think I'd be more annoyed at us getting knocked out of Europa. There's a real opportunity for us there and the last two knockout losses to Sevilla and Villarreal stung. We need to put that right.

Edit: Didn't think about the Europa winners getting Pot 1 in the Champions League next season. That might swing it for me. We need to put a good run together in the Champions League next year, it's been way too long since we played in any important matches there.

EL by a long stretch.

The domestic cups are fun and all but never really felt that it is THAT important for the biggest clubs. And we are one of the biggest clubs around.
It´s more like a nice bonus on top of a league title or a Champions league title.

Winning the EL a year when Barcelona and the strongest Arsenal side in ages were competing there would be nice.

Europa League, by far. It's a much more interesting/fun competition than the FA Cup (or it would be if we didn't have to play the entire fecking La Liga).

Possibly FA Cup if it means it will prevent City of winning the treble. So that's my pick. Deep down I prefer the Europa League though. I especially want to defeat Sevilla. I still feel frustrated about yesterday's match. Also think Arsenal will go all the way and win the league.

having been born in 1990,
I seem to remember throughout my childhood that winning the local double was quite a big deal for me. I was highly annoyed when Arsenal did that, A bit less so when Chelsea did it in 2010...
And was always bummed when we didn't manage it along with a PL trophy, which would happen most seasons.
I wish I could remember 1999 more clearly.

Ever since we stopped being top dogs, I can't bring myself to care about the 2nd rate trophies.

I was so miserable during LVG and Mourinho's time around here that winning cups under them didn't really bring that much of a smile to my face
Aye aye, "football is not for you"... ;)

Well, maybe winning the EL is a tad nicer than the FA Cup for me. Hard to tell.

Europa League.

I value that more than the FA cup, plus pot 1 in the CL is handy.

Europa League but if it means stopping City winning the treble, then FA Cup.

FA Cup. Beating City in the final, crashing their treble bid. Great stuff

It would be annoying to go out of Europe now when we’ve invested so much into it. But beating city in an FA cup final to stop their treble? If CL is safe anyway? That would be sweet

Purely focussing on us, the Europa league. Far more, harder games that we have gone through to go on and win it, which would feel much sweeter

I believe stopping City winning the treble is a lot sweeter and would mean much more to most people, I’m a bit surprised so many still choosing EL.
