Not feeling optistic that Ten Haag gets the tactic right.

Pep will know to stop Rashford too and see how we played vs Barcelona etc.

I so badly want to win this over City, but we are just a club without winning mentality now.

We have maybe 30% chance if we get the tactics right. If we get it wrong 5% De Gea saves us and we fluke it with a goal.

Is there really no chance of Varane making an injury comeback for this one?

City are now are really not that far from Barcelona 2011. Maybe the only missing piece is the uncomparable game changing abilities of Messi. If they play like that, we won't have a chance just like we never did in that final. Not just us to be fair, nobody would stand a chance against that level. Reaching that level is far from a guarantee though and they don't hit that peak every time they go on the pitch. Lot of things can happen between now and then. Their best version might be as close to unbeatable as you can get now but their best version is also conditional to a lot of variables so let's hope some of those variables are to our advantage by June.

You really think that the difference between us and City is the mentality? You don't think it might have something to do with the fact that this is their 6 or 7th season under the same structure and management whereas we are in our first? If Ten Hag or anyone could build a team that is at their level in their first season, they would be beyond geniuses.

If we play like we did second half City could get 6 or 7.

Too many of our team just don't play for 90 mins. Watch City most weeks and they always go full throttle until the other team has totally gone and given up and even then they often carry on and get 5,6 or even 7 goals.

The score line will depend on whether they are in CL final a week later or not. If they are, they will take it easy and beat us 2-0 or 3-0. If they aren’t, it will be complete annihilation. They should have put 8 or 9 past us as Etihad this year.

Am really psyched for this. Considering the amazing champions attitude we showed in the second half against a piss poor Spuds.

Always wondered why world class managers and their coaching staff with UEFA Pro licenses don't just simply watch these random youtube videos before matches. And why these random youtube people are not professional coaches as they know how to beat Pep and all that.

We need the Bruno - Rashford connection to get anything out if this I reckon.

The key is we need to quickly secured Top 4 and rest the key players for FA Cup final. It was obvious that 2nd vs Spurs the players were tired.

City is going to have hectic end of the season. It will makes a big difference if our team was well rested and fresh vs City in the final.

As of now, all our key players are playing too many games already.

With fresh players and tactic from ETH, we have a chance to win the final.

Hope we win to cap off a great 1st season for ETH but it wont easy and we cant switch off for 45mins like we have been doing lately.

This is a chance to end the season on a good note and boost our confidence, even if they win the PL we can prevent media wank over them by beating them in this final.

It's pretty hard to see anything other than a City victory, i just hope it's not a complete route and with the way Man City are currently playing that almost seems inevitable.

I don’t think you appreciate how well oiled that team was. Xavi Iniesta, Messi, Alves, Villa, etc just doesn’t seem fair in football. Adding that they just seem to have an extra energy to run and run some more .

That would be because top managers are light years / galaxies ahead of videos like this.

Besides, the biggest challenge is not the tactics, but implementing them and getting the team to perform them.

It’s not going to be an embarassment, but it will be an easy win for City, probably 4:1 or something, and we’ll be happy with it because they’re just ‘too strong’.

If the two sides met tomorrow that I could understand some of the pessimism around but it is impossible to say what kind of form and momentum the two sides will be going into this game with from here. A lot can change in 6 weeks. Rewind two months back and we had just drawn to Forest away having won 5 in our last 9 PL games (with a loss at OT amongst it)… You’d have fancied your chances against that City side!

Really? that Barcelona team that ran ring around us and taught us how to play football? the team that forced us to play like Westham in UCL final? the team that Sir Alex had no answer to (although to be fair he didnt have a lot of options)
We beat this City team this season. Quite convincingly as well, their mojo striker couldn't do shit. Such a thing had never happened with 2011 Barca, they're all over the place and all of them were a threat.

Yea we probably have to see a bit more of them as that Barcelona side registered some all time iconic performances like the 5/0 against Real Madrid or that masterclass in the CL final against us. Also, like I said, they had a certain Messi, the biggest sole difference maker. So City have to show more but I just think the peaks they tentatively reached at times are just as high. The way they dispatched of Arsenal in a so called title decider is a bit like what Barcelona used to do. You'd think it's a big game between two top teams, only for them to just wipe the floor with their opponents. I might have been a bit premature but the coming games against Real and us and in the league of course will tell us where this City side is placed.

I really do! I think they're the best team I have ever seen, by quite a distance also. I think what I mean is this City side at times reach the same highs, tactically at least. They don't have Messi and they haven't reached the same highs as consistently which is why they are not on the same level overall. But the way they handle some of these supposed big games reminds me of that Barcelona team which is my worry for the final.

Need to summon the ghosts of 77 when a United side who were massive underdogs beat a brilliant Liverpool side to stop them doing the treble.

This will simply be unoiled fecking from City. Unless they rest players for Epl or Ucl, it's a beating without Martinez and Varane.

Genuinely feel for those that think we have a chance against these lot

Unfortunately we'll get annihilated!
It's a final and anything can happen. Even the worst underdogs in any final match have about a 30% chance of winning and a 10% chance of going to PKs.

no centre forward, no FA Cup. Said this before the game at Etihad: Halaand will get more goals than the United team in the game (of course, it turned out to be equal in that game)

Looking forward to Cup final night. 10cc are playing at the Bruce Mason Theatre in Takapuna, Auckland. So that should finish by 11. Then back to my gaff for Manchester music even......then turn the TV off at 2am. It's all about the anticipation

Yeah a 45 minute showing against this City team will certainly not get it done on June 3

Sorry to say but they’re Absolute wankers these rail staff. They deliberately do these strikes on days they know will effect the average joe. When they know the average joe has feck all say in how much they get paid.
Wow who would have thought it, picking a day to undertake industrial action which will cause the most chaos.

There's no point losing a days pay to strike on a Sunday when less people typically travel.

It's not a hard concept to grasp. Everyone deserves the right to a fair payrise, I support them. The final isn't until June, plenty of time to find alternative transport.
