What a footballer.. can't even get into the Forrest team now.

Another Talk Sport interview to say how the management failed him? Or will he actually realise he isn't good.
He's been injured. Also, Keylor Navas is pretty good. I feel a bit dirty defending him. Hopefully he is sold.

Is he still injured?

I doubt they try sign him this summer though, United will still ask for £20/30m for him.
Why not? He's popular with their fans, the ones I spoke to yesterday were hoping he comes back in for Navas once fit.

Yes he is (or just returned to training). Which makes your post in here look rather ridiculous. So eager to stick the boot in.

I had a look at the Forest fans social media before our match against them, and most seemed to want Henderson to reclaim the #1 spot ahead of Navas when he's fit.

What is this based on?
Based on speaking to a few pre game yesterday, it was because Navas has been pretty poor for them and doesn't leave his line very much. And the fact that he isn't signing for them in the summer, whereas Henderson may well do if they stay up.

Saw a post on reddit from a Forest fan saying that they do miss Henderson's ability to command the box, as Navas isn't as good.

Taste of the conversation in the Henderson thread on a Forest forum over the last 10 or so days:

I know some people hate statistics, but they generally don't lie

Dean Henderson vs Navas

Shot-stopping (PSxG): Henderson
Save %: Henderson
Passing accuracy %: Henderson
Launched Passing %: Henderson
Crosses stopped %: Henderson
Sweeps per 90: Henderson
Penalty saves %: Henderson
I don’t think the choice between Navas & Hendo is worth worrying about personally. They’re both good enough, don’t mind which one plays. It won’t be what decides if we stay up or go down.
On the basis of the season so far, Henderson has the capacity of pulling out a blinder more so than Nevas.
No disrespect to Navas, but I'd personally have Hendo back in the second he's fit.
I'd have picked Navas, but after that mega-costly blunder against Leeds I'm not sure now.
I can't believe the Navas negativity I've seen creep in on social media over the last week or so. Yeah he made an error against Leeds but he's been faultless other than that.
I'm with those who say Henderson back in. It's a close call but just edges it and I think Henderson gives the defence more confidence - he's louder, more organising etc.
I wouldn't put any particular blame on Navas but the data shows Henderson was the better performer, so i'd prefer him back when he's available

In all honesty neither keeper have impressed with their distribution, and that was one thing I did expect to improve with the introduction of Navas but surprisingly it's got worse
The goalkeeper isn't an area we need to worry about

Both Navas and Henderson are more than good enough and there's hardly anything between them
Hope we put Hendo back in as soon as he's fit enough. He adds character that we need big time right now.
Navas is WAY better with his distribution. It isn't even worthy of debate. I'm sorry, Hendo is not better.
I agree with those claiming a draw. Both are good enough in our situation. I don't care about distribution, at the moment it's stopping the ball going into the net.
The stats that have Henderson outperforming Navas on shot-stopping (PSxG), save %, passing accuracy %, launched passing %, crosses stopped %, sweeps per 90 and penalties saved
The other areas, fair, though stats exist in their own universe, per se, as we all know from XG. But no way on Earth does Hendo have better distribution than Navas. That is definitely an area of weakness for Hendo.
It appears to be a weakness for both keepers. Aurier is a big miss, he's the designated out ball from our GK and he actually wins the majority of his headers
If Henderson is fit, it's a no brainer he plays over Navas, why?
The main reason being is that by if some miracle we stay up, he will likely be the goalkeeper we want to sign permanently next summer.

The fans love him and he's enjoyed his time at the club. He seems to command his area more, both in his physicality and also using his voice.
We have a fighting chance of saving penalties when he's in goal. Navas has faced 3 penalties and not got near any of them.
I'd feel more confident with Henderson in goal if I'm honest.
I'm not as keen on signing Henderson as everyone else is. He's on a chunky wage and we conceded a lot of long-range shots in the first half of the season

That Navas hasn't looked that great for them (yesterday and his first few games aside)

A couple of their forums. Most of the comments were either that Henderson had been outright better, or that it was very even between them but Henderson's penalty saving and commanding personality gave him a slight edge.
Many thanks lads

Had to check the date on this…
In fairness, I was going by his most recent PSG performances where he looked a step below his usual very elite best.

Was very good yesterday but looking at the most recent posts in this thread, it seems his form in general corroborates what I had thought, so guess I was mostly 'right' eh?

Was very good yesterday and apparently for them since coming in so fair play.
It was a bit of a dick move by me, bumping an old post. Just funny reading it after his unbelievable performance yesterday.

Nah all good. I edited my post you quoted and made it a bit more petty

We need Deano to play so we can get more value out of him!

Reassuring that they do want to keep him. Hopefully we can get at least £20m from them.
I don't think they would pay that if they're going down (100k per week wage for a GK in Championship is too expensive), nor Henderson wants to sign for them to play in Championship. He may want away, but he may fancy himself staying in top flight level/PL.

Anyone know what's happened to him? Watched second half of the Forest game and Navas just flapped the two goals into the net, he's made so many errors since joining them.

Sure when Henderson got injured in January they said he was out for two months.

He's done enough to get a permanent move somewhere anyway, Leicester or Palace would be good moves for him, maybe West Ham aswell.

Given past conduct, I wouldn't be shocked if his rattle went out of the pram as soon as Navas was signed and we don't see him turn out for Forest again.

They had to get someone in as he was injured and Hennessey could barely dive anymore judging from his efforts in the league cup SF.

Navas just hasn't been that good based on past reputation and achievement, let in so many preventable goals since joining Forest and defensively they weren't actually too bad in January so that Henderson injury could be pivotal in them going down.

Actually thought this thread was in other football now as Henderson has no future whatsoever at Man. United so interested what Forest views are on him.

This player ego is as big as Ronaldo without actual achievements. This is the player 110% need to get rid. He is on par with the problematic character cluster of Pogba, Ronaldo, Lingard, Henderson.

He should never even be our back up GK because he will unsettle the dressing room. Regardless of how he perform at Forest, we need to find a buyer asap.

The same Navas who was playing like peak Buffon against us?

He’s upset because Ole didn’t keep his promise, hence he lost faith in the club for keeping their promise. I would be upset if someone doesn’t keep their promise to me either. That’s a common reaction. Be careful of what you said, you don’t try say things that only sounds great but can’t execute it.

Has Navas not been good for Forest? Everytime I have seen him playing he makes world class saves and looks brilliant.

He has been out injured. The very reason the club was forced to get Navas and it seems he has had a relapse.

Bitterness, he proved you don't have to be some great keeper to be better than DDG.
He's proven nothing. He wasn't better than De Gea when he was at the club and he's hardly been that amazing for Notts Forest.

Hyping up Henderson is the same as hyping Maguire. It's based on wishful thinking, not observed performances.
