Remember that thread where we were all saying we had several candidates for player of the season this year....

Changes need to be made because we need a fecking goal, and early on, too.

    I'd go with a 442

    Martial Rashford
    Bruno Eriksen Casemiro Antony
    Malacia Shaw Lindelof Wan-Bissaka
    De Gea

I'd look to bring on Garnacho or Sancho, too.

Playing at testimonial speed is unforgivable ive no idea why we still have no patterns of play to break teams down. Weghorst has to be taken off with Sancho or preferably Garnacho coming on.

Shaw and Lindelof need to speed it up at the back though its just all shockingly slow.
West Ham are sitting deep, we're patiently trying to create openings. They're sitting even deeper now they've scored. Everything was going to plan before the DDG howler. Game plan is out the window now though, not sure we have players to bring on and mix it up

Depressing half of football. We don't look like scoring and we were very fortunate not to have a penalty given against us. Definite penalty. Seeing as we usually have a bright first half followed by a poor second let's hope we can do it the other way around this time. I'm not holding my breath.

This isn’t even a hostile atmosphere. Their crowd are dead.

    There's only one United!
Why did he play Wout? Useless player
    Rashford over ambitious
    Malacia not good enough
This team is so boring tonight

We keep self destructing, I just don't get it.

Even before De Gea's howler, we missed several easy chances to stop him. And we've seen it so many times this season, about 5 of them at anfield.

100 percent ddg fault but what fecking cowards. 1v4 and nobody has any fecking balls to challenge the west ham player for like 20 yards

Clearly moved his hands towards the ball. His arms were within his stomach area and he moved them outwards.
What confuses the situation is that his body is moving one way, and the hand the other to «pull it away». I honestly think he tries to move his hand away, but like i said, wouldn’t have been shocked if it was given as pen, since it looked awkward.

    Absolute dog shit.

Slow, lazy, no fight, no movement. He should be taking 2 or 3 off here, but can't because the bench options are not much better.

Our season is riding on the 3 home games against Wolves, Chelsea and Fulham. Can’t see us coming back today or getting points at Bournemouth.

But everything was fine until that mistake, we were in total control. That mistake changed the entire complexion of the match, gave them something to hold on to out of nowhere, and got the crowd involved too.
If you think we were in control and everything was fine until that goal, then we must be watching different games.

    Well then you're a fool.
Then explain to me and others why HE (Ten Hag) is not the fool here. He knows he won't get anything out of Martial nor Weghorst anymore, so why not try something else including kids? We are in dire need of a breath of fresh air coming from anywhere.

I have had enough of seeing another Manchester United manager not taking gambles when he has to.

Shocking stuff. So wayward upfront and then a massive error at the back let’s them score. Seriously these clowns are just not up to it.

Yeah, 0 credit, let's forget all the brilliant saves, because some blunders delete that. Bloody hell. :wenger:
Yes some blunders delete that as no keeper for a aspiring title winning team does that. He has made a mess of the game and we are chasing the game when we cannot score goals.

He did make that one shitty mistake, but entire team has been garbage all of first half. De Gea's mistake is no excuse for how shitty the setup and the team have been.
Being a GK, “one shitty mistake” equals one goal.

DDGs mistake makes the game 1-0, none of the other mistakes made it 1-0.

It is one of those games where noone makes the right runs. Casemiro and Eriksen are forced to play sidewards all the time. The pace of the build up is going at turtle speed.

Going by how we’ve typically performed lately, think this is going to be a horrible struggle in the second half. We’re sleep walking to the end of the season.

We can rage about De Gea's mistake all we want, we've been total shite and have no clue how to open up a poor West Ham side. We can only score when Rashford is in the mood these days, and he isn't today.

Why not? Its not like we have played well in many away matches this season... Relegation team away form!
Why not? Because common sense, simple as that. But I don't expect that from modern football fan mentality.

    It should.

Go down the Arsenal route, ship the cnuts out, pay them off if you have to and replace them with younger hungrier players.
It is not something which super organised clubs can do. With John "one transfer at time" Murtough it can't be done for sure. We managed to sell one bloody player last summer. And loan Henderson which was very saleable assett.

    Team seem bereft.

Would be so sad to lose top 4 after all the good things we had going for about two thirds of the season. With Case and Eriksen back we look as dead as anything in previous years.

It's crazy to see all these own goals and errors at the back, can't hit the target or take a corners after hundreds of attempts.

Reminds me of 2019 when we shot up to third then gave it all away. Poppadom hands gave Chelsea a goal and it finished 1-1, we slipped down to 6th if I recall.

I said then De gea should never play for us after that match, he was so poor in that run in yet we make him the highest paid keeper in the world.
