He is going to go to Newcastle isn't he. Will be interesting to see how the refs and defenders treat him in the Premier League

What have you been smoking?
He was better than Mbappe for most of his time at PSG. People jumped on the Mbappe train last season especially but up until that point Neymar was the best footballer of the two.

Even this season he’s in the 99th percentile for both goals and assists for games played. This is supposed to be an off year.

Why? Is Howe going to say nah I'd rather have Almiron ?
Exactly. I think Howe would be like a kid at Christmas to have Neymar in his squad.

Neymar will easily be the best player he will ever manage I’d imagine so he’d be well up for it.

Well you are not wrong, he is supposed to have an off year, like every year, since past 4-5 years.

still a monster of a player:

Easily the most underrated player on the cafe.

He was having a monster of a season before he got injured.

Not sure he'd go if he leaves PSG. Do Chelsea have the $$$ to abide by FFP to sign him?

I think what he needs to do is rekindle his love for football, because in him, there's a talent that's rarely been seen.

Been rewatching his highlights before his transfer to PSG, when he was forced to elevate his level and maintain it because he was surrounded by world class players and couldn't lower his standards or they wouldn't respect him. He was something else, simply magical.

There's something in there, but he needs to be dragged out to a slightly dull and dark city with fewer distractions and be part of a project where he is facing tough competition week in week out. Get that fire again.

The last thing you could expect the United dressing room to do for him.

Yes, that is an issue at United. There is a disease permeating through. And it's very contagious. One player has a poor match and it contaminates the rest. There is no accountability or personal pride at times. They suffocate and drop their heads because the other guy did it, so why wouldn't they.

Sensational player and loan with option to buy sounds too good to be true. I would presume the wages would be absolutely huge though

Neymar, despite assumptions to the contrary by many is an incredibly hard worker on the pitch. You regularly see him chasing back.
He has aggressiveness but I wouldn’t say he regularly chasing back.

Why is Neymar even been discussed on here ,surely the highest of the high standards discussed by this fan base can not even approve of Neymar being a possible signing when the morals of this fan base are happy to thrown our generational talent under the bus?

I like Neymar, he's been given all sorts of stick over the years but he's a brilliant player. I wouldn't be against him coming here, we need a bit of magic and he has more quality than any of our players.
I just can’t see it happening in a million years

Buying Neymar would be like buying the most expensive watch around when you don't even have cleanest pants to wear.

I mean, it would be really exciting, but we lack so many players that it would be ridiculous to spend everything on him, and watch him want to go after 6 months because he has to combine with Wout Weghorst in attack.

Neymar, alongside 5-6 new players at minimum would make sense. Neymar, with one-two new players would be terrible transfer window.

That PSG move really did feck up his legacy. Insanely underrated talent and doesn't get the plaudits he would get if he was playing basically anywhere else but France. Injuries haven't helped either.

Don't want him though!

If we could get him on a deal with lots of bonuses (participation, I wouldn't mind the risk. We need some creative oomph up there.

And yeah, going to PSG was a massive mistake for his career. Earned lots of money but only really was in the conversation as long as PSG were in the running for the CL or World Cup time.

Whilst I agree about Neymar the other person you refer to three himself under the bus not United fans. HIS actions did, don’t apportion it to our fanbase

You Ronaldo fans are absolutely shameless. Shameless.

Ronaldo did one of the most disgraceful things a player could ever do. In fact, he got off easy. He should have been heavily criticized and panned for what he did.

Remember seeing him live in 2013 and was shocked at how much distance he covered. He has/had a terrific engine.
