    Away game. We meet again..!

I believe in miracles. Maybe we can grind out a win here somehow.

Though away, I fancy our chances more than the remaining home games.

We rarely beat Chelsea and Chelsea keep possession well. Fulham is a tricky opponent, they are well organised.

    De Gea
    AWB Varane Lindelof Shaw
    Casemiro Fred
    Antony Bruno Rashford
    Martial

Garnacho to come on with 30 minutes to go - or start if Rashford isn't ready. Everything else seems predictable. Maybe Eriksen will start but think ten Hag will want more energy in midfield as it's away game and Fred had a brilliant cameo vs Wolves.

If Rash is still out then hopefully a mix of Garnacho, Pellestri, Martial( :houllier: ) and Antony (starters/subs) up front during the game will prove too much for Bournemouth to handle.
With Varane back and Shaw returning to the left side it stiffens the defence and a mix of Case, Fred, Bruno and Eriksen should be sufficient to win the midfield battle.
I expect a win, if we don't against a side of mid/bottom level players with not much to play for can we really say that we deserve a CL spot?

Good. We need McTominay as backup option with Sabitzer injured for rest of the season.
Almost feels like we need McT to be someone who can actually put the ball in the back of the net! Which feels daft to say about someone who's scored 3 goals for us this season... but then he is currently on a run of 5 goals in his last 5 games for United/Scotland.

Don't need to mention that we have to win this game and both Chelsea and Fulham will be tough.

If we win this game, we'll have a final to play against Chelsea at home so really important.

I won't play Rashford and risk him, so I would play him off the bench.

    Same team as Saturday.

    --------------------------------------------------De Gea------------------------------------------------------
    Wan Bissaka--------------------Varane---------Lindelof---------------------------------Shaw
    ------------------------------------------------Casemiro----------------------------------------------------
    Antony----------------------------Eriksen----------Bruno---------------------------------Sancho
    ---------------------------------------------------Martial-----------------------------------------------------

Take Martial off for Rashford, Sancho off for Garnacho, Eriksen for Fred, if the score is fine then Case for Mc To, and Varane for the fridge.

Bournemouth got 3 home wins this year - nothing for them to play for now as they are safe so I see a 3.1 or 3.0 victory for us here.
It’s been my experience that the ‘ nothing to play for’ idea is absolute bunk. Especially when Manchester United are involved. The will play like their lives depend on it believe me.

They're an unpredictable team especially at home but we should be winning this.

this is absolutely a must win....we don't take these 3 points and we are going to have a difficult time finishing in the top 4

They beat Liverpool, Spurs, drew with Newcastle so we know they love to game-raise.

We have to be fecking prepared for them to treat this like a CL final.

Other than Southampton or Leicester I'm not there's a better team to play away right now.

Liverpool or Newcastle would beat them comfortably, and so should we.
Liverpool lost 1-0 to them in Vitality Stadium this season. Six days before that game Liverpool hammered Man United.

Newcastle drew 1-1 away to Bournemouth.

Quite an unpredictable side are Bournemouth, but they've just lost two on the bounce. We'll dominate the game and have most of the chances. It comes down to whether we take them

A few thoughts from the other side.

For all his faults, one of the things that O'Neil has been good at is turning us around after a poor performance. Yes, we lost to Chelsea but we probably should have won that game on the chances we created and missed. There was also, yet another, clear penalty not given. We're still the only team not to have been awarded a penalty this season. So that match wasn't a terrible performance, the result didn't land our way.

Then against Palace we were about as bad as we've been all season. No interest, no fight, no quality, nothing. On the beach would be generous. Passed out drunk in the hotel bed would be closer. That is something I don't think O'Neil will stand for and so I expect a big change in attitude from the players based on the way he's lifted them up after bad matches before. That's nothing to do with you despite the belief posted above that we'd only up our performance for you, and everything to do with how he has managed us this season. Terrible against West Ham, then beat Southampton and Leeds in quick succession for example.

The one thing to come out of the Palace match was the predictable but depressing failure of VAR yet again. I mean, our performance deserved nothing from the match but early on one of their players punched Lerma in the face and broke his nose and VAR saw nothing wrong with it. It's since been admitted by Howard Webb that it should have been a red card and who knows what would have happened in the game. We probably still have been terrible. Given the run of non-decisions like that we've had all season, like I said 0 penalties, and O'Neil reportedly meeting with the PGMOL on Monday to discuss it I wouldn't be surprised if we get a soft penalty to try and shut us up. I wouldn't want it at this stage as it no longer matters and misses the point of all the bad ones that have been glossed over because we're a small club. However, prepare yourselves as I think Webb might have a quiet word in the ear of the officials.

Having said all that, if O'Neil can't yank them back from their beach holiday hotels and we play like last week then you'll obliterate us. At least 0-5 if we're at a similar standard.

Are we realistically expecting Rashford back for this one?

Not confident about this one. Think the nerves may get the better of the players. Plus they have bad games away from home.

But on the flip side they've lost 3 of their last 4 home games, conceding 10 goals in the process, one of which was Lampards only win so far as Chelsea manager.

I wouldn't say leicester is a team anyone want to face right now. Sure they are bad but they are desperate to stay up and this time is the squeaky time for relegation battle. I think they still have a chance to get a draw vs Newcastle.

I hope Bournemouth don't take this too seriously now they are already safe from relegation.
And also they are in poor form recently ever since they are mathematically safe.

It's a funny thing when you have nothing to play for, you'd think it would allow players to just relax and make them almost more dangerous, but it doesn't seem to work like that.

I know it's famous last words, but as far as 3 fixtures you could ask for then you wouldn't be far off picking the 3 we have left, also 2 at home, and we can still afford to lose one of them!

This is their last home match of the season and I would expect a kick out of them, add in the fact of United's less than great away form. I'd gladly take a lucky narrow win for Man United if offered now.

If injury doesn’t prevent it, let’s go with an unchanged team. Bring Garnacho on a bit earlier. Fred on for Eriksen at half time and dial up the press for ten minutes, to counteract our tendency to cede momentum in the second half.

Could see an easy win if we can just convert a chance in the first half. A scrappy defeat wouldn’t be a shock as our away form has really gone down the pan.

I don't want to hear any excuses about the players being tired in this game, they had a week off to rest and work with Erik.

Wouldn’t it be lovely to go 2 or 3 goals up in the first half and then we can relax and enjoy the game.

We’re the only team in the top 6 incapable of doing that.
