FSG have been terrible owners for them. Have brought them back from the brink of bankruptcy but stagnated after that. The best manager they've had for decades & they've failed to back him allowing City to pip them time & again. Word is the investment they are seeking is merely to cover losses during covid & money spent on the stadium & training ground.
You then have to factor in that there will be 3 state owned clubs next season in City, Newcastle & Utd. The days of building title winning. teams over 4 & 5 windows are gone. You are going to need unlimited funds to compete. Tough times ahead for them for sure.
Can't see it happening but will be a hilarious if they fail to finish in the top 4.

He is starting to fit in and improve. I think Klopp see's him as a false 9 kind of player at the moment and his rotation with Nunez wide left has been pretty good. I don't think he's a very explosive player though. Not like Diaz for example. He takes up really good positions pulling off of the back four and into space between defense and midfield which might be why Klopp is trying him through the middle.
Not really sure how he'll do long run. He's come into a struggling side and has 4 goals to his name so far.

He was very good against us and yesterday too was very good after he came on. Of what I've seen he has to start every game for you, no?

Says a lot about the state of our midfield that his injury is a massive blow. Add in to that the fact that 37 year old Milner and Chamberlain were still being used in a CL knock out game at Madrid and you get the picture.
Honestly I've found him a bit of a mixed bag this season. HE was good against United but I've seen plenty of games where he's been bullied and found wanting. For me personally I don't think he'll make it at the top level. Just my opinion.
How quickly do you guys think Liverpool could bounce back to a high level? I actually think it wouldn't take that much. A couple of fresh, hardworking midfielders would do an awful lot to cover up the holes that are currently being exposed by a crappy midfield. TAA and VVD would quickly look better. Also, when Diaz comes back, they will instantly be more of a threat going forward.
I'm sure they have also been impacted by playing pretty much every game last season, which won't be the case next year. It is also a slight worry for our own next season, given how deep we are going in all tournaments with a thin squad.

I don't think it will take them much to bounce back to a level of consistent CL qualifiers. They've got Klopp and still a bunch of talent so if they rebuild in midfield, as you say, it shouldn't be that hard. Jumping back to the level of consistently challenging for either PL/CL most years? A lot harder to do IMO. With the possible exception of Nunez, the players they've added in recent years (ie, Konate, Gakpo, Jota, etc) just don't have the same world class ceilings as VVD, Salah, Mane, Fabinho, Robertson had in their primes.
That poodle is a nothing player, can't believe he gets minutes at Liverpool.

It's not just you. Elliot is pure vanilla. He's not even a fitness machine. Just, vanilla all round. The ONLY thing on his side is age, but he needs to develop some skills fast like exceptional crossing, power shots, slide rule through balls. Something. Anything.

Yeah that’s what I get with him. All a bit too lightweight. He’s got time on his side but I’m not convinced he’s going to get there playing for Liverpool. He’s also playing in our most problematic area.
A possibility in their next 3 games of getting 0 points, a rebuild that they desperately need but cant really afford, the chance that they will miss out on CL football for the foreseeable future with everyone ahead of them and their best manager in years seemingly devoid of ideas?

They should write to them and ask them to explain why their own man wasn’t sent off for the same thing against spurs.
Some check considering the amount of breaks that has gone their way this season.
Klopp would be a much better manager (he is already an excellent one), if he could accept his own mistakes and learn from them.
It’s always someone else’s fault. He should use the time to reflect on why they were so far behind in the first place and his failed transfer business.
