Wagner mutiny: Prigozhin's soldiers rage while others cry conspiracy

Yevgeny Prigozhin may have boasted he had the loyalty of all 25,000 members of his mercenary army, but it seems that may have shifted as quickly as the Wagner Group's rebellion petered out.

In online messages analysed by BBC Verify, Wagner troops and their relatives raged against Prigozhin's decision to halt his dramatic march on Moscow and withdraw from the captured city of Rostov. "The bald waste of space destroyed Wagner PMC with his own hands. And screwed everyone he could," fumed one online poster claiming to be a Wagner fighter on a Telegram channel with 200,000 followers.

To me this just made it even more apparent that Putin has no idea how to handle this situation.
Yeah agreed. Should have acted like was unimportant/beneath him and not even addressed it - better that than waffle

So he cut a deal with Prigozhin but now he’s saying he will be held to account?

Wonder what power that blyat actually has. Must be well connected otherwise I can't see how he is still avoiding windows update.
The odd thing about him is that he actually seems competent for what it's worth. Russia could use him in this war but he seems to be sitting it out from the sidelines?

He was there in 14. Maybe he got too ambitious and they pushed him out.

He's clueless and somewhat feckless. He's also appeared to somehow manage to misread the room as if going on TV would magically result in business as usual again.

I just watched some clips of Ukraine soldiers in the minefield. probably the worst I've seen in a loooong time so I'm not posting it. it's simply crazy how we managed to come to this.

They're quoting one poster on Telegram. I would hardly think this is the prevailing sentiment.

I've seen the one you're likely referring to. Tough watch indeed. Those mines are a bitch.

You see a Ukrainian jumping on a mine and losing his leg.

He’ll be held to account but those who wish to join him in Belarus are able to do so…like what is going on?
I doubt he even knows. Probably something like as long as they are in Belarus, we won't try to extradite them. If they get back to Russia , we arrest them.

This little nugget made me chuckle. The conversation between Lukashenko & Prigozhin was "masculine".

He's FSB and pretty much accredited with taking the Donbas in 2014 from what I gather, so a bit of a Russian hero I guess. He was on the ground there in the first days, taking the police stations and organising the 'protests'.

Something I always wonder if there's any truth in; Bill Browder in his book talks about a contact he had, that helped him on occasion, who claimed to be FSB. This guy claimed there was a split in the FSB, as in its not all one happy family doing Putin's bidding. So guys like Girkin could be protected by a particular faction.
