Donny has to go, then McTomminay if possible, and Maguire. Then we should be able to get a forward also.
I'm not confident we'll be able to Maguire and possibly not Donny either. But, if we can now sell McTominay for a decent fee or even Fred and get a keeper signing over the line in early July we should also be able to sell Henderson which should just about leave enough funds for a striker.

If ETH can get him back to the 20/21/22 form, he will be a great signing for us.

We score few goals from midfield. Mount scored 11 league goals in 21/22. If he can do the same for us it would make a huge difference.

I don't like what we paid and the wages. Should be cut in half. But we can't negotiate and we never will.

But he is a very good player and it will be intresting to see where he fits. He can play everything from midfielder to forward with quality he got.

If Casemiro eriksen and bruno worked as a midfield then mount for eriksen will certainly work. He's a better presser, better ball carrier but eriksen is the better passer

As a club we never learn anything. Was so predictable we would go back in for him and the Caicedo talk was the most blatant bluff that nobody fell for.. If the 300k wages are true then yet again we have a player we can't sell on for more than 50p should we ever want to move him on.

This cycle of incompetence is never ending it seems.

I don't think Mount is a bad player at all, but well overpriced in both salary and transfer fee.

Feel like we've overpaid Chelsea and Mount but hey ho. If he's here for many years and plays well, it'll all be forgotten.

If he turns out like 75% of our other transfers ...

£250,000 a week. I give up.

This club is beyond repair. Qataris, Ratcliffe, fecking Musk, no matter who buys us. The ethos is just absolute poison.

Sigh. Was praying this never went through. Nothing to be surprised regarding the wages, we always overpay no matter what. Unless we scrap the squad and start over there is no way to reign in wages. Just pray now that we won’t come to regret signing him.

Don't like the fee (and definitely not the wage) but speaking only of the pitch then he should fit a 4-3-3 quite nicely, the kind of player that should he gel then the cohesiveness of the entire attack will improve and you are left wondering why.

Mental if those are the wages we are giving out, another player that will be tough to sell on if he doesn't deliver which would not be a surprise when his praise is more for his off the ball movement than what he can do on it
Agree, was hoping we would have learned from our past mistakes. Definitely going to be hard to move on if he ends up flopping.

There's a chance this goes down as one of our worst signings in many years. If Chelsea finish ahead of us next season it'll be incredibly embarrassing.
Only thing that’s embarrassing is ‘fans’ on the internet who don’t have a clue when it comes to football.

Sorry to burst your bubble then, but every club pays enormous money in todays market - you can follow Stockport or smth!

Sorry, I can get over the fee, but the wages mean that yet again we're stuck with a player if he doesn't perform. He's not going to get a bigger contract than this in his career, so just like Sancho he doesn't even have any real incentive to perform. Just feels like the same mistake we've made countless times now

A huge positive for Mount/United is he can have a full pre-season with the squad.

Get a GK in pronto and the prep for the season can begin.

Also anyone reacting to his reported wages...what were you expecting a first team squad member at United to sign for these days.

Why are people so surprised about 250k? He is young England international that is still highly rated, one bad season where whole team was terrible doesn't change that. Of course he wasn't gonna be offered 150k ffs. Acting like we are giving him 350k or something.

Will he put in a 250k/week performance each and every week?

Martial is on the same wage and plays one game in five, and thdn only jogs around with a face like a smacked arse.

Do get the feel that we've done a sancho and in two years the only way we'll be selling him will be to continue to pay part of his wages.

Same wages as Reece James is now on. Mount felt disrespected at Chelsea

Is Mount one of the best number 8s in the world? Feels like that’s the level we are bringing him in at if £250k + £50k is accurate. I’ve never seen him as anywhere near that level but fingers crossed ETH has got this right.

He was a key player and POTY for a team that won the CL

Strange how there would be more enthusiasm had we signed a player from Brighton who has won nothing and had one good season in the league
I am no manager but my opinion is paying a wage of 250k + should be reserved for someone who is a definite starter and I just can't see us playing a midfield 3 of Bruno, Mount and Casemiro. There is just no control and positional sense aside Casemiro, meaning we will need someone to control and that implies Mount won't be a starter seeing the other 2 are better players. My opinion though.

Wow. 60 million for a player almost out of contract, negotiating against a team that has 2 days left to sell. Goodness gracious

Not convinced by Mount, but will keep faith in Hag being able to release the potential that Chelsea couldn't do.

Declan Rice was the guy and we blew it, hence City and Arsenal fighting over him and not Mount.

Congrats on getting a very solid player who you supporters will take a liking to very quickly if you get a fully rested and in-form Mount from day 1 this next season.

I honestly just feel kind of indifferent about us letting him go. I’d probably feel really angry if he would’ve been that nailed on starter that he had been before last season but he wouldn’t have been.

I was MUCH more devastated when we sold you guys Mata or when Hazard left for Madrid.

City play in this way tbf and it looks like arsenal will next season too.

That’s the going rate for a player like Mount. I’m not sure what some of you expected.

At least our main target this summer didn’t take all window to sign. What are we still after? A GK and ST definitely. Any links to CB? Start off the window Kim was a big deal which tells me we’d like another CB. I thought we’d be in for a FB also.

I think it’s disastrous losing a 24 year old homegrown academy player who won poty twice to a domestic rival, but each to their own.

Why are people surprised and pissed about the wages? No way a player like Mount will earn less than 200k in the PL at a Top 4 Team.

Wait he's on 250k a week? I find that very hard to believe.
A guy on talksport, I forget who, said on air "We don't really know do we, it's one of those things that is very difficult to find out properly, most of us just pick something out of the air".

Defo GK and ST. Maybe we are in for a CB, but it could also be a case of "if the right guy is available" with kim.

Onana us looking likely, so a ST would have to take priority over anything else at this point. We can't go into the season as bare bones as we ended it.

Won't be in shock if Chelsea asked Matt Law to publish Mount's wages.

Out of all the transfers in the PL the second we got our first signing "suddenly" all the details of this deal published ?

I want to know the wages of Havertz, Mcallister, Kovacic etc

Probably done to death but will he be an 8 for us?

It's not £200k though, it's £250k potentially rising to £300k. That's a massive difference. Plenty of clubs outside the PL don't even have players on £50k per week wages.

For perspective, Kane is on £200k per week. Saka £195k per week (new contract), Odegaard £115k per week, Robertson £100k per week

Can't blame Rashford to ask for 375k/wk.

Sancho 350k
Mount 250k
Martial 250k
Anthony 200k
