Sadly, a futile, poorly attended event.
Nobody will care one way or the other.
It won't feature, be noticed, or have any impact on the sale process.

Everyone is frustrated by the lack of speed in getting the sale done, but there's nothing fans can do about it.
It might be better for some people to just switch off from all news about the club, whether it"s about the sale or transfers.
We might as well wait until 2 weeks before the season kicks off, for all the good it does listening and reading all the speculation, gossip, rumours, made up and half true news stories and ITK boll*cks.

It was closed for a bit but as a peaceful protest they wouldn't block anyone so moved on to continue at the Trinity Statue

Obviously with 1 day notice on a weekday this was never going to have many fans there, but it's featured on BBC, tabloids etc so job done on the publicity front

Just an embarassment for something been covered over the news the past week.

Glazers just laughing, as it makes zero difference to them.

Megastore is run by Adidas not the Glazers at the end of the day, so literally makes no dent to the Glazers and I'm sure Adidas can cope for a few hours, before the tourists arrive for their tours.

Pretty much online orders no doubt through the roof.

Reading the BBC feed they didn’t stop anyone shopping. 40 fans turned out to demonstrate.

These sort of half arsed protests are an embarrassment and actually do more harm than good as the small size of them makes it looks like it's only a tiny minority of people that really want the Glazers out.

I have to agree. It’s a numbers game with protests and it is meant to mobilise sentiments on a mass scale. Well done to the 40 that turned up but I don’t know if it really changed anything other than highlight fan apathy and exhaustion with this long drawn club sale process.

Full sale only is the mantra of the people that for 18 years have hardly done anything to remove the Glazers.

Now, laughably they are booing parents buying shirts for their kids and saying "don't care, announce Qatar" on posts about the passing of one of Fergie's mates.

Too many folk are getting caught up on the "only forty people" part and saying it doesn't make a difference. Narrative is everything nowadays, and when the BBC and Daily Mail were reporting on the protest today they focused on three things.

1) United fans were protesting the Glazer ownership.
2) The protest managed to close the Megastore on the day of the home kit launch.
3) This isn't the first time United fans have protested against the Glazers.

That's it. That's what the average punter will have seen. And it wasn't just the BBC and the Mail reporting those points in their headline. It was also Sky Sports, AS in Spain, bloody ESPN in the USA.

That's not even mentioning how many previous protests against the Glazers have been reported back in their home country by NBC, Fox, Business Insider etc. They don't give a shit about us but you can be certain that they want a good reputation in the country where they have business interests and sports that they care about.

Aye, that was quite a protest! I was skeptical of the group. I just thought they were a bunch of wannabe militant ultras, but I'm glad I'm wrong. We'll never fully know how much impact they've had but that should never be a reason not to try!

Still not clear what exactly The 1958 are, more of a collective than a proper organised fan group.
They certainly made some mistakes since appearing on the scene (initially slagging off other fan groups, arguing amostly themselves online etc) but seemed to have learned that unity is the best way forward - joining together with MUST and The Red Army lead to that successful protest in April

This is one of the first times someone publicly comes forward to speak on behalf of this group
