From what I’ve seen he looks a bit clumsy on the ball (first touch). Hope I’m wrong after our most recent no 9 being Weghorst and our last young no 9 - Lukaku.
I’m not sure the technical aspect of a players game can be easily taught.
This. The problem is he doesn't look anything special, he's tall and reasonably fast but there's no finesse to his game and that is partly down to being a bit clumsy/heavy on the ball. We should be paying much lower fee for him but seems like everyone knows we're desperate for a striker, so the fees mentioned are mind boggling.
I don't care that much about fees, this is a very complicated issue but he needs a couple more seasons in friendly environment, I don't fancy the idea of Rasmus leading the line for United, he simply doesn't look ready. This is not the right moment for him to move to a big club IMO.
Whilst I personally think he should be allowed the chance to come back, it's going to be a big ask. He's missed almost 2 years of football at a critical point in development, as in he has not even trained in that time. Who knows if he will ever be able to get back to where he was. We can't bank on him being good enough for us anymore.
Greenwood comes and owns the right wing, he is the most natural footballer we had at the club in years. There are question marks about his mental state obviously, and as much as I'd love to see him flying on that right side, I am not getting my hopes up to ever see him again in United shirt.
The problem with Greenwood however is he was never effective in playing back to goal, he is similar to Rashford that way. BUT - if we could rotate striker / Rashford / Greenwood at CF I think we're good for a season.
