We really need to get rid of him this summer. He honestly seems like a cancer in the dressing room. I mean just look at this picture

Ha, he’s such a cretin. Probably thinks he deserves to be at the front of the photo.

Funny how Henderson didn't want to have 1 training session with EtH, because no doubt the manager would of wanted to keep him

Yet Forest after a full year watching him every day are still not convinced haha.

We all love United
He’s not played a single minute of pre season, hasn’t he? Why did he even go on tour I wonder. Should have left him behind and told him to find a new club for himself since Forest aren’t paying any money for him

I think he was back in training and the idea was to mix him into training sessions with the first team even if he was not quite ready for a competitive game, same sort of logic as why Martial travelled.

20m£ seems a little optimistic though it's not unheard of for keepers. I don't know if the price is the real hangup here though.

I'm of the opinion that if the club wants to make room and ship players that do not want to be there and are detrimental to the squad, I'd do it at a discount if it is what it takes. Somewhat contradictory with the mantra MU don't know how to sell but to me it feels recruitment is trending in the right direction and finally cleaning up wage structure, average squad age and surplus players.
Maguire I understand that the club wants at a minimum to match his remaining amortisation value. Henderson doesn't have that albatross value attached and finding a suitable backup option for cheaper if needed should be possible.

One thing I'd say for him though : Don't read too much in a single pic posted on Xeeter. (But yeah it's funny).

Considering he can’t play versus United, it means the max number of games he can play is 36.

Lets say he gets a suspension for a red card or something. And maybe even a minor injury to keep him out of a couple of games. Or rested for a cup game. There is too many possibilities.

30 games isn’t realistic or ‘fair’.

10-15 games is where it should be pitched.
Well its United's decision to not allow him to play against us, if he's as bad as some posters make him appear to be it should not be a problem taking the restriction out of the deal. Since he has no chance here anymore and he's not the type to keep quiet earning his wages like Romero or Valdez, I think any offer that includes money on the table should be accepted imho.

Not sure what Cooper is thinking but a quick glance at the Forest forums confirms they would prefer Turner to Hendo at this point. Might not be a goer as the rumored fee being offered for Raya by Arsenal seems very low and I can't see Turner leaving unless Raya happens but we do need to be prepared to find another outlet for Captain Sunshine. We were dreaming of a nice fee but a loan at this point might be best, gets the wages gone and if he can have an injury free season and produce to a decent level we might get more of a market next summer.

People slammed me for saying we should have sold Henderson before signing Onana and now it looks like we aren’t going to be able to sell Henderson. I told everyone they were taking the piss because after signing Onana they knew we had to sell him and they are trying to take advantage of that, but I was wrong apparently. This is a ridiculous situation all round, we really can’t afford to have him be miserable on the bench all season and we’ll have to sell him for less than we actually want to because he’s getting even less playing time, again.
If Forest had the desire to do the deal for Henderson, they would've lined the deal up so it was ready to go as soon as Onana signed for us. It isn't in Forest's interest to hold the deal up any longer if they really want the player, the season starts in less than 2 weeks.

Turner is untested, he could turn out to be another Ward. I'd be very surprised if Forest actually went and made him their #1.

What are City fans doing here!? @rimaldo, I'm looking at you.
urgh. such a common mistake. you can’t call them city fans, they’re “nottingham forest city football club.” the other team is just called nottingham city.

It could have also worked the other way. Inter could have taken advantage of the fact that we needed a keeper and ripped us off.
But there's plenty of options we could have gone with over Onana if that was the case, i'm sure ETH had other choices he wouldn't have minded. Now Forest are doing the same thing.

I thought Henderson was injured and will not be there for the start of the season regardless? In that case Forest would be in no hurry as they either way will need a second option ready for the August games and maybe longer. Which is why I reckon it’s talk of a loan with obligation to buy in January (certainly depending on a medicl at that point).

But Onana was clearly his preferred choice, and certainly the best sweeper keeper we were linked with.

Letting go of DDG, missing out on Onana, only to sign Bijlow as #1 would have been very disappointing.

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time

Pretty sure it's a requirement of the league that loaned players can't play against their parent club, not something that can be decided between the clubs.

It's not up to United. It's a Premier League rule. If they were drawn against us in the cups, I believe he'd be allowed to play.

People are reading too much into a random photo.. If he was that grumpy, he wouldnt have gone out with them.

He looks perfectly happy in the pre season vids ..

Magic Mike. But apparently, Milan quoted a figure of like 100million

We do need a second keeper (hence the interest in Petrovic), but Hovarth can start the season for us if we don’t get him. We’ve got a difficult start to the season anyway so we aren’t expecting much from the first 8 or so games. The issue for us is how long before Hendo is fit and the likelihood of a further breakdown as there is more going on then the initial thigh injury. So yes you are correct about the reason for a loan.

Yes Hendo is our preferred option but the length of time this has taken plus the risks with his injury means we need to move on.

He’s not as good as Henderson, that’s for sure
100%. Henderson might be a twat but he’d be an unbelievably good signing for Forest.

Turner is a Championship level starting goalkeeper. A good solid backup at PL level.

Not sure how you couldn't read something into that photo....Everyone else is taking the 20s to look at the camera and smile for what I assume is a United fan. You're a massive prick when you are the only one who can't be bothered to turn your head 90 degrees and smile for a few seconds.

I'd bet money they've just done and are waiting to do a load of photos with people - it's likely the one photo he's looking away has been picked up is because no one is interested in everyone looking at the camera, they want something to comment on. It is a nothing picture.

His apparent behaviour in that picture rings true to what we have seen from this guy previously.
At the same time in training pictures and videos he looks quite happy and getting along with the other players/keepers. Even if he ends up staying I don't think he will prove to be a problem in the dressing room. ETH won't have made and false promises and the club haven't blocked a move either. Sure he might not be too happy, but he won't be going around hating the manager or resentful of the club for this summer.

His issue with Ole came with him apparently being promised the no.1 spot and then with Rangnick telling him he would start a game before deciding to start DDG instead. I can't see ETH repeating or doing anything similar to Henderson.

He must be fun at parties.
To be fair to him, he probably didn’t think he was in the frame of the photo, he’s pretty far out to the right side of whoever’s taking that photo.

Or someone said “let’s get a picture of the United lads” and he didn’t feel he was part of that group.

Amazing really. Henderson was so worried that if Ten Hag saw him in training last summer, he'd try to keep him, yet Nottingham Forest had him for an entire season and don't want him.

Makes no sense, why would the Premier League intentionally increase the chances of teams being less competitive?
