I agree. He is just trying to make some fun out of it. But the fact that the kid is getting lots and lots of abuse makes that joke somewhat misplaced at the moment. So is Rob to be fair. I don't see anything wrong with what he's said to be honest, seems like he's trying to make light of the situation.
That's fair - a statement from Wrexham about the abuse would be good. I'm just a bit disappointed by our club briefing solely our upset at their manager's remarks. Came across as overly defensive when Mullin was the one in hospital.I agree. He is just trying to make some fun out of it. But the fact that the kid is getting lots and lots of abuse makes that joke somewhat misplaced at the moment.
This is fine, don’t see why anyone would get annoyed about it. Also he’s monetising the thousands of apparently livid United fans who will blow that tweet up.
That’s true about Carroll, I do remember that! But fans in hysterics on a forum is a world away from people representing the club. They are touring the US now and playing PL sides in glamour games. Your manager can’t be threatening opposition players and owners need to be careful what they say.To be fair it only happened three days ago. I think they're well within their rights to make references to the incident. It's also worth pointing out that he only mentions the rib injury - if he was really wanting to be a dick he would say something about pierced lungs.
Let's not forget that months on there's still a lot of people here who want Andy Carroll marched through the streets naked and pelted with rotten fruit. One of our players fecked up and injured one of theirs, and we should accept that.

The gap between the national league and League 2 isn't actually that big at all really. More often than not, the teams that get promoted to League 2 don't get relegated in their first year.Welcome to the football league Wrexham,
Mind the gap! There's a massive divide between the leagues and non league, it will be more difficult than they think to progress.
Obviously early days and MK Dons are always strong in that league but it's a tough start none the less
There's a massive divide, only two go down so recently that's been teams struggling for money so the promoted teams have been lucky in that regards. The gap between the national league and League 2 isn't actually that big at all really. To be honest, Wrexham was much better in that game.Welcome to the football league Wrexham,

Won't always be the case, not saying Wrexham will go down, they are too good and rich for that, but it's no where as easy as everyone is thinking for them in the League structure.
Based on what though? Surely if the divide actually was "massive" we'd see them going back down as frequently as teams go back down to the Championship, but its just not the case. There's a massive divide, only two go down so recently that's been teams struggling for money so the promoted teams have been lucky in that regards.

As I already said, most teams in the last few seasons that have dropped out of the league have done so because of financial issues,Based on what though? Playing some very good football too. Wigan was outplayed for most of the match and Wrexham could've won it in regular time if they finished a couple of very good chances they had.Wrexham beat Wigan nil-nil....4-2 on penalties
magic at the racecourse ground continues
agreed....they missed two or three absolute sitters in this matchPlaying some very good football too. Wigan was outplayed for most of the match and Wrexham could've won it in regular time if they finished a couple of very good chances they had.
Im not sure there is. Bottom 5 of League Two is absolutely awful. National League is almost essentially a League Three now.Welcome to the football league Wrexham,

Ther s a divide in the league for sure, that's down to money and some clubs having a lot and some having nothing.Im not sure there is. Bottom 5 of League Two is absolutely awful. National League is almost essentially a League Three now.
Wrexham and Notts County will both be comfortably top half once they get going.
To be fair to Maloney, he made four changes to his strongest team, two of those being academy products and the other two being new signings.Wrexham beat Wigan nil-nil....4-2 on penalties

It's not that big of a gap. There's plenty of National League teams who outbid League 2, even League 1 sides for players. Wrexham have been throwing money at League 1 players for a couple of years and have the squad to show for it, there's really no excuse to not make the play-offs at least.Ther s a divide in the league for sure, that's down to money and some clubs having a lot and some having nothing.
But the gap between non league and the league is still pretty big, famous last words and all that but I don't see Wrexham or Notts County finishing top half.
Indeed they did. Wrexham had 20 attempts on goal to their 7, including 2 near sitters for Wrexham. To be fair to Maloney, he made four changes to his strongest team, two of those being academy products and the other two being new signings.
Wigan dominated possession but looked like a new team, which is understandable given the changes they had made.
I don't think it's that big a gap. Can't bothered going back further, but 6 out of the last 12 promoted teams finished top half. Throw in the fact that both these clubs have some of the biggest fan bases in the division I'd say at least one of them probably will on the balance of probabilities.Ther s a divide in the league for sure, that's down to money and some clubs having a lot and some having nothing.

He wouldn't prevent them letting in eight goals in two games.Maybe this sudden rise through the leagues won't manifest. Perhaps this season will be more staying in the league than going up.
We did a number on them by injuring their best striker
On paper no but having your best players on the pitch always changes the psychology of the match. He wouldn't prevent them letting in eight goals in two games.
Or Wrexham jinxed themselves after their whining when he got injured. On paper no but having your best players on the pitch always changes the psychology of the match.
I imagine teams are less fearful with him out, these small things can improve confidence
C'mon Fozzy, step your game up!Wrexham conceded 4 goals from 4 shots in the first half.
In their first game they conceded 5 goals from 6 shots on target.
This is obviously a case of two very unusual games not reflecting anything to do with how well Wrexham have played in general.
They have 20 shots on goal to Swindon's 6.
