It's elevate us from cl spot contenders to title challengers if we signed both lavia and caicedo. Of course it's not easy to topple city but I expect minimum 85 points from league. Pochettino you got the tools now it's in your hand.
 who scores goals for you?

And you have Brighton third choice keeper as your starting keeper if kepa leaves. And kepa isn't adored by your fans.

Pochettino isn't a magician or God:lol:. This is however a good step in the right direction for you club. Your midfield and defense are fixed, but just need experience to truly perform at a top level

If Chelsea present him at the weekend game, it will be a wind-up right up there with Mourinho’s chest-thumping at Anfield.

Enzo Caicedo Lavia. Lacks experience but what an amazing midfield if they fulfill potential
It’s a midfield 3 with poor balance. Way too defensive. It’s not like Chelsea will have loads of creativity from their wing forwards. Nkunku has to be squeezed into that team too when he’s back.

One of those midfield 3 won’t be playing regularly. I’m surprised Chelsea are paying that much for Lavia who will likely be benched.

As brilliant as Caicedo is, not a chance chelsea are winning the league with the current squad. Especially not in a transition first season for a lot of the players and manager. Top 4 will be a great result for Chelsea this season.

Look I’m one of the few that fancies Chelsea this year as you have no European distractions, however the squad still has glaring weaknesses; Goalkeeper who is your number 1 and is he in the top 4 or 5 in PL , I’d say no to that.

Your relying on Tiago Silva at 38 who was the best in the world a decade a go but in a 4, he’s now exposed,Axel Disai new to the PL , full backs and Midfield looks quality but more defensive than offensive and up front I see Arsenal, Liverpool, City, United having much better options and maybe Newcastle and Villa having similar or better options, I think your finish anywhere from 3rd to 6th and more likely 5th which will probably be enough for CL qualification 24/25 season.

When this guy was signing for the dippers, it would “put them right in the title race.” Nobody saying a word now he’s going to Chelsea.
That's because for all intents and purposes, he is THE missing piece for Liverpool, a club with an identity on the field and continuity this last 8 years or so that you can be more certain of a players success. Chelsea are a circus, there is no cohesion and a new manager who hasn't really proven he can handle a team of expensive, well paid strangers.

Why do people keeps saying “too defensive?” Have you watched Enzo Fernandez play football? He’s a fantastic creative passer and created loads of chances last season in the short time he was here (that our shocking forwards dutifully fluffed). He’s basically our new Fabregas but with legs to get about as well.

What was higher, his amount of wins, goals or assists?

The issue as I see it is people are too quick to speak in absolutes when it is far from the case. Bit like some folk were utterly convinced we’d be title contenders with Kane. I mean, I’m not convinced of liverpool’s continuity given some of their recent signings have not delivered the certain success of previous ones.

No-one is catching city this season anyway, for me 2nd place is as up for grabs as it's ever been.

I guess we’ll have an idea once we are deep into the season, be nice if we can push on and really grab that second spot over the more strongly fancied Arsenal.

And that will change this season because?
Jackson looks very promising. Mudryk I’m expecting to take big strides. We have and actual quality coach and will have a team with proper structure?

Scoring goals is 100% still what our season hinges on.

Fairly stacked and expensive squad and with no European football distraction I wonder what excuse Poch fan boys will use if Chelsea don't finish at least 4th in the table this season.
Absolutely no excuse for him regardless of his first season at Chelsea considering he is already a veteran in PL.

Both Colwill and Badiashile have done well when asked to play on the right. Colwill is darn near ambidextrous. And we haven’t sold Chalobah yet. We play Thiago because he’s still earning the minutes.

Chilly is one of the better offensive FBs around, Reece isn’t a slouch there either on his day, and they may need to play around with options because Gusto is fantastic.

If we sign Olise we will still be young up front, but Carney, Olise, Noni, Mudryk and Maatsen with Broja and and Jackson as line leading options? That is NOT bad at all. Every time Maatsen plays he gets better. It’s a name people will need to be familiar with in the future. Olise was already a rising star in the league and as someone who can stay wide or tuck in centrally he would fit what we want perfectly.

I read that Independiente del Valle have a 20% sell on clause? So they're standing to make £20+ million from this.

£20 million for an Ecuadorian club side. They must be frothing at the mouth.

Right, it's 2am. Been awake for 18 hours. Anyone remind me how many bids were made by Chelsea before I go to sleep?

Your forward options are still miles behind City, Arsenal, United and Liverpool? Don’t get me wrong I’m a big fan of Pochetino and my brother whose a huge Saints fan, says he an amazing manager and just makes young players so much better, giving time but we both know Chelsea don’t give anyone time, he’s always going to be 3 bad results from the sack.

If you start well in first 5 or 6 games, then I would be very confident of Chelsea achieving CL football with the caveat that could include 5th place this season, defence is mediocre but with great FB’s however if you sign Lavia and Caciedo the protection for the defence will be fantastic.

Liverpool were just as bad as us until we effectively forfeited the season reappointing Lamps, possibly even worse.

Their defense is a major problem for them even if they somehow turn this deal around.

So my gloating Liverpool mates will be pulled back to Europa League and no midfield tomorrow. Plus love that they showed their hand and all players Liverpool try to sign will be 25% more expensive after this. Thank you God.

I feel like their midfield last season exacerbated the defensive issues. Would expect Caicedo and McAllister plus that other lad to have offered more protection than inhalerless Henderson and fabinho.
