I don't think our team made it easy for him in goal tonight.
He did well under the circumstances.

He's so similar to Barthez. He'll have great games but I've already seen enough of him to know there will be a many silly mistakes this season. We'll have to be patient. That was a clear pen, he shouldn't have been near there
was told he would be a bad shot stopper but would not make mistakes like de gea and revolutionise our attacking play immediately
had a good game for shot stopping, did absolutely nothing with the ball and made a howler
nothing is ever as it seems

just tapped it round the back. i think people were willing it to be something different, but it wasn't. it was extremely dull build up play.Played one brilliant pass to Garnacho and generally looked very calm and assured with the ball at his feet. That’s progress right there.
What exactly have you seen in one competitive game to come to conclusion that he would make many silly mistakes .
And why he shouldn't be trying to claim or punch that ball that's exactly a keeper should be doing in that situation .
Then you need to wear glasses, nothing like Barthez. He's so similar to Barthez. He'll have great games but I've already seen enough of him to know there will be a many silly mistakes this season. We'll have to be patient. That was a clear pen, he shouldn't have been near there
Great to see, especially after a decade of watching them being flashed across goal.Very much enjoyed him throwing himself out to claim that cross right at the end.

Wolves chose not the pressure him much and just focused on winning the first pass back.
Interesting to see if other teams continue that approach. The defence and midfield didn’t really show for the pass much either…but it was such a flat performance from the outfield players.
Probably best to just forget it.
The owls are not what they seemwas told he would be a bad shot stopper but would not make mistakes like de gea and revolutionise our attacking play immediately

The manager set us up to do that, though.just tapped it round the back. i think people were willing it to be something different, but it wasn't. it was extremely dull build up play.
he is obviously capable of being far better than today, but just like when people said mourinho guaranteed trophies, that sancho was top 10 player in the world etc, it is just never as easy as it seems
I’m guessing you don’t know the rules.Do people know the fecking rules? The Wolves player had already headed the ball when Onana made contact, hence cannot be a penalty in a million years.
Nonsense. That’s not the rule.Never a penalty. If a player gets a shot off and then gets hit after, it is never a penalty. In this case, it wasn't even the player who headed it who got hit. He's jumping out at the ball to make himself big. Never a penalty. If a player knocks it past him and is prevented from getting to his own touch, then it's a penalty. Never a penalty in that situation
Generally speaking, if a player is fouled after passing the ball in the penalty box, their team can still be awarded a penalty kick if the foul is considered to be a direct free-kick offense and it occurred within the penalty area.
The Laws of the Game, set by the International Football Association Board (IFAB), outline the rules for football. According to Law 12: Fouls and Misconduct, a penalty kick is awarded if a player commits a direct free-kick offense inside their own penalty area, regardless of whether the ball is in play or not. The key factors are the location of the foul and the nature of the offense.
