You just know this is going to lead to us getting a few dodgy VAR decisions given against us in coming weeks!

I’ve never seen such an overreaction to a decision on the opening game of the season. If this was a decision that had just sent Wolves to the Championship I’d maybe get the outrage but it’s match week 1 for feck’s sake

Well deserved. It should've been a very comfortable night for us if they hadn't bottled the pen and red card from Rashford's header plus the foul on Antony from Sa.

How many reds does Casemiro get to compensate, do you reckon?

It's always a story when it's United. You see this kind of thing week in, week out. They never get given.

Then she sucks on my balls
Because of one contentious decision dropping all of them, like these kind of decisions aren't happening every week and nothing happens about it ,definitely nothing underhanded going on here.

Is there a video of this? I’m assuming it must have been the exact same thing when Antony chipped it over him?

Yup, that is us f*******.
We aren’t getting another decision for us again this season.
How can a ref ever side with United when a contentious decision has to be made? We have rule changes made when a decision rightly goes for us for feck sake

Strange that the officials from the Brentford -v- Spurs match haven't been dropped?

For not checking for a potential foul by Romero for his goal, for not giving Brentford a penalty when their striker got fouled after getting a shot away and also not getting a penalty when van de Ven caught someone.

Can't wait to see some of the decisions that go against Utd now and how those officials are dealt with.

Officials deserve some stick for last night but this is an over reaction. I do always worry in situations like this that incidents like this can be stuck in the back of referees minds in upcoming games and when officials step down that it reinforces that.

Not sure what mistake the on-field ref made? If anyone is to blame its the VAR - for an on-field ref thats a difficult decision to make in real time.

Thought the ref had a good game overall to be fair to him.

This seems like a huge overreaction. If officials get demoted every time they make a mistake then there wouldn’t be anybody left to referee matches. It wasn’t a calamitous refereeing performance by any means, I thought the officials did a fine job for the most part.

Won't somebody think of the children. What an overreaction to a 50/50 pen shout. Yeah maybe it should have been given. That aside I thought the ref had a good game. Daft.

Setting a very calculated precedent of punish United at every chance or get dropped while I'm sure we'll see much more clear cut wrong decisions involving other teams just brushed away.

Think back to some of the tackles Liverpool players got away with last season, horrendous stamps on players clear as day yet nothing happens to the refs for missing it on VAR. We have a innocent coming together of a keeper and defender that often gets let go and now the refs are dropped. Casemiro holds a shirt collar lightly with players laughing yet it's framed as him throttling a player by his neck by VAR.

It feels like if you have the opportunity to send a United player off or give a pen you best take it.

Again Case gets a yellow, VAR asks the ref to look again and gets a red, framing it as something it wasn't yet much more violent tackles don't get brought up by VAR.

Very much ties in with the notion that your life as a referee is so much easier if you give decisions against United. It’s a media shit storm and you’re under massive scrutiny if you do and apparently the PGMOL only want to increase that pressure.

I wonder if we'll see the same pressure when Liverpool inevitably get a decision in their favour? There wasn't a peep about Fabinho's violence last season.

so this now means the league will call Onana’s challenge a foul for the rest of the season

This has been so overblown. We’re going to get some fecked up decisions

It was a definite penalty IMO so no surprises on my side.

If that went against us in a match we’d be fuming too, let’s be honest here.

We already do, we got 1 decision against City then proceeded not to get a single decision in our favour for the rest of the season.

Assuming by "officials" they mean the whole team, I'm not sure what the fourth official, linesmen or even ref were supposed to do there if VAR has determined it to be fine.

Everytime a decision goes our way there is a national overreaction. Completely and utterly ridiculous. Every single time.
