Keira’s leaving on a free? Ouch. That’s gotta hurt. One of their most expensive signings of the last decade.
Iirc they also paid a fee to reserve the right to negotiate first or something. £65m is a huge amount. But since its not United you will not hear a squeak from the media about it.

He's no Pogba, that's for sure. Sold for £9m, bought for £90m, then let go again.

But yeah, Keita. Worse signing of the decade. :(:)

They struggle to sell their players because they are all on massive wages.

Origi, Wijnaldum,Keita,Ox etc have all left on a free.

Matip and Thiago are leaving on a free in 2024 as well.

Relatable.

Also makes me wonder about the idea that City pay all their players backhanders that don't feature in the official wage bill. If that was true how come they never seem to have any problem selling players they don't want?

Based on the trajectory in his previous club, next season (which would be his 2nd).
He need to cut his hair though, it's more atrocious than his form.
And stick to black boots, he seem to play well in them.
Based on his trajectory, he's had one good season in his whole career, which would suggest that it was a black swan event.

I honestly don't get the fans who think having the lowest net spend is a positive. We are not paupers. Spend some fecking money.

I never said worse signing of the decade. And regarding pogba the media and opposition fans gave us pelters for it(rightly deserved). My statement is that there will be nary a squeak regarding Keita as he is a pool player.

Yeah sorry, that worse signing comment was for someone else. ;)

Keita never really proved or disproved his hype from Germany because he was never upright long enough to kick a ball in England. Why would the media criticise a player, or the club, suffering that injury? Maguire on the other hand is fully fit and fully showing his ability. Of course him, Sancho, etc, will be targeted more than Keita ever will.

Maguire actually had a couple of decent seasons for us before turning to shit. Pogba actually contributed to some good periods for Utd, including an EL title. Those two players have contributed to an extent Keita never did (whether it was because he was injured or actually just a bit naf is for anyone to decide), and their transfer fees remain less shocking than his.

But it won't be said much because:
1. Liverpool barely every get any flak for their bad transfer dealings
2. Utd fans love to be overly dramatic about our own

Not sure why I’m even engaging with such a tedious WUM but are you even able to read?

Is he going to be starting at CF this season? They've got Gakpo, Diaz, Salah, Nunez, Jota so reasonably stocked in attack.

That's the whole idea of backhanders, it's meant to be kept under the table.
As soon as players demand the next employer for it, they become liable.
There are whole kind of fiscal implications they don't want to get into.
Just be merry while it last, and move on.
They are still handsomely paid anyway, hundreds of time mere mortals are getting.

They find a mysterious treasure map on their door step that miraculously led them to a tens of millions of dollars if they agree to move.
