I find this mindset incredible. As emergency cover it’s an unreal signing.Seriously underwhelming.
I can see what’s happened here. He's going to shock a lot of you. Didn't watch him at Chelsea but did with BHA. He's brilliant for ETHs system and once Hojlund joins it's going to be an effective combo.
What even is ETH's system that he'd supposedly be brilliant in?I can see what’s happened here.
I think everyone remembers him from his BHA days, he looked pretty damn good. Just like most players they have. He wouldn´t be the first player to look out of his depths as soon as they leave an enviroment that work like a charm for them. He's going to shock a lot of you. Didn't watch him at Chelsea but did with BHA. He's brilliant for ETHs system and once Hojlund joins it's going to be an effective combo.
You’re quoting the wrong guy pal. What even is ETH's system that he'd supposedly be brilliant in?
I'm not, I'm just further elaborating on your point. We don't even have a system at the moment. You’re quoting the wrong guy pal.
I believe we have a system. I just don’t believe we have the right players for that system. Not yet anyway.I'm not, I'm just further elaborating on your point. We don't even have a system at the moment.
"Multiple occasions for academy". I rest my case.Excuse me? I have watched Fernandez play many times. Can you not read? Also, where did I say that I want him to start for the next 3 months? Why are you making things up?
I think you need to understand what was wrong with your post.
We don't even though half we're bought by ETH, and the rest who stayed are the ones he thinks fits in? Come on man.I believe we have a system. I just don’t believe we have the right players for that system. Not yet anyway.
We are Europa League famHe isn't very good at the highest levels. Europa League standard.
At Brighton he looked like a City player. No one looked good at Chelsea last season. He isn't very good at the highest levels. Europa League standard.
So we're still an Oleball team or Individual brilliance FC?We don't even though half we're bought by ETH, and the rest who stayed are the ones he thinks fits in? Come on man.
Isn't Oleball just individual brilliance? Or has that definition changed to suit the needs of certain caf members? So we're still an Oleball team or Individual brilliance FC?

Well not this year at least. Maybe next year againWe are Europa League fam
So you think nothing has changed from Ole's time at United?Isn't Oleball just individual brilliance? Or has that definition changed to suit the needs of certain caf members?
I'm struggling to see what has changed on the pitch. So you think nothing has changed from Ole's time at United?
And yet we finished third and got to two cup finals and they finished 12th. Or a you referring to the three games this season because that will be a very early conclusion to draw. We're not much better off than Chelsea in terms of playing style and consistency.
That’s bizarre mate.I'm struggling to see what has changed on the pitch.
I guess for instance a home record of not losing since Brighton last year, getting 3rd while playing a lot better, with more structure and idea, never happened.I'm struggling to see what has changed on the pitch.
And yet we finished third and got to two cup finals and they finished 12th. Or a you referring to the three games this season because that will be a very early conclusion to draw.
You haven't got a case. What do you want me to say? I'm not a Preston North End season ticket holder, yet I have watched the majority of his academy matches and certainly enough to form an opinion."Multiple occasions for academy". I rest my case.
Seriously underwhelming.
We do have a working system. You watch the Nottingham game and think this team are just winging it? Do you think the Brighton team he excelled at was as good as the United of last season or the current United team.I'm referring to the idea that we don't have a working system for him to play in. He's going to have to come out of that shell and be individually brilliant when the rest of the team are crap and he hasn't shown that he can do that at Chelsea.
Shame there's not some Roberto Carlos type of a player available on loan on 30th of August.Seriously underwhelming.
Europa league standard left back as an emergency signing for 3 months seems pretty good to me. Robbie Brady started ahead Fernandez at times last year - it isn’t fair to throw him in if he isn’t ready. He isn't very good at the highest levels. Europa League standard.
You’re in danger of tarnishing @bosnian_red ‘s name with comments like this.
Such a swing of emotions, going from praise to catching strays out of nowhere...Don't be silly, @bosnian_red has never had a good name around here![]()

I think you feel if a team isn't playing City style football then the team doesn't have a working system. When you have pace up front you utilize it, its part of the working system. And yes playing well for Brighton isn't the same as doing it for United or Chelsea but he did show at Brighton the talent to do so.We don't have a working system in my opinion. We are most definitely winging it most of the time and most of our goals still come from Rashfords pace on the counter. Yes there is some attempt to build up sometimes but it's certainly not Brighton or Man City.
I think the key thing to understand here is that we are not Brighton. Playing good for a Brighton is different to playing good for Man Utd or Chelsea.
And why don't you remember, borthwick-jackson, Paddy McNair, Donald Love, Guillermo Varela?
Van Gaal threw them in the deep end cause we didnt have other players and were thin, that goes for Rashford too, there wasnt any plan to it. ETH gave Garnacho a chance and will give Mainoo and Amad too, also Pellistri although tbh he should be given more chance.Because they were also given their chances by Louis van Gaal before they fell flat on their faces. Ajax and Barcelona also treat their own kids in the same manner by providing them enough playing time before a final decision is made as to whether they are worth keeping or to be sold elsewhere.
Between consistently wrapping our kids in bubble bags (the Ten Hag way) and throwing them in the deep end (the Van Gaal old-fashioned way), I still prefer the old-fashioned way. The only way you know what a player is capable of is by seeing what he does during matches at senior level. You either swim or drown; it's just that simple.

And you have to understand the sort of mess Chelsea were last season. With an owner playing real life FM. A dressing room which literally couldn't contain the number of players with a lot of them knowing they wouldn't be there after the season and down tooling, three separate managers in one season. Its difficult to judge a player in such circumstance. Plus it's only going to be a loan deal to coveer for our injuries so we can judge him here ourselves.
This. Still remembered he terrorized us when we played Brighton. All of Chelsea players were trash last season so I still think there is some player inside of him. From what I remember he was amazing bombing forward (which we are in desperate need since our attack suck balls). Also him bombing forward will open more space for Rashford. He's going to shock a lot of you. Didn't watch him at Chelsea but did with BHA. He's brilliant for ETHs system and once Hojlund joins it's going to be an effective combo.
Nah. He should lead us to CL trophy for this loan to be considered a success.if he turns up, scores 7-10 goals, makes 20 odd assists and shores up our defence, then it would probably count as a successful loan.
I answered a concrete post about numbers. You are commenting on another discussion, it seems to me.We might have numbers, but the quality and what we actually need isn't there.
No, then he would be blocking Greenwood’s way back into the team.if he turns up, scores 7-10 goals, makes 20 odd assists and shores up our defence, then it would probably count as a successful loan.
Chelsea were a bit of a mess last season too. So hoping that played a role in the situation with him.I think everyone remembers him from his BHA days, he looked pretty damn good.
