We don't have money for him. It is loan or nothing i think.
Only if McT leaves but i doubt we can sell one and buy one in next 12 hours.

Think we may have left this a little too late now. Let's see.
If that ends up being the case then selling Fred was a mistake in hindsight. Different profile of player but would have still got a lot of minutes with our current options

Well the reports from credible journalists say he's definitely leaving + Fiorentina are only discussing with us now. Plus he's rejecting any other offer to push it through to ourselves, and Ornstein said last night that the deal is on track.

So I'd be pretty confident.

I’ll be quite disappointed if we don’t get this deal done I must admit.

Just order your Amrabat shirt from a dodgy supplier (not funding Glazers).
If all else fails you can change the order to Regulon

Bit weird that this link has gone quiet considering it's deadline day. Needs to be on the plane to Manchester for a medical already.

Despite the stagnant nature of this transfer if he plays a lot of games for us and plays well he could arguably be the signing of the summer given the inflated prices in the centre midfield market over the last 9 months or so. The rumoured price is around £20m-£25m?

If we end up with this being a loan with obligation to buy then it sounds more alarm bells about how poor our finances are.

Gone quiet? What on earth?

Ornstein latest update was at 10 to 10 last night!

This just shows the literal constant need for minute by minute updates on transfers for football fans.

It’s been several hours and we’re complaining that it’s “gone quiet”

It would be a shame is he doesn't come when he desperately wants it. Pitbull, ferocious, tough motherfecker who would add some leadership, fighting spirit to the team. Based on what I read here I think some people are underestimating him as a player.

Adding him next to Casemiro would make a very defensively solid double pivot which would be tough to play against for anybody - perfect for tough away games. He's very mobile, with pretty decent press resistance and passing. He can even play as a lone 6(single pivot) in front of two 8s(or 10s, in our case) in a 4-3-3 because he's very mobile, energetic and can cover so much space.

Watch JJ Bull's(Tifo) video on why Man Utd want Amrabat. He is full of praises for him. JJ Bull was very impressed with him at World Cup and said he was the anchor of a great Morocco defense. Spain could do nothing against them, for example.

Really hope we get this one over the line.

My 'must-haves' before this summer were: CF, DM, GK. Onana is perfect. Neither Hojlund or Amrabat would have been my first or second choice for their positions but if we get the latter at least those three boxes will have been ticked.

I think Amrabat would be a solid addition.

There’s been interest from quite a few other clubs (he’s openly rejected several and Barca and Liverpool were allegedly admirers).

I agree it will be a flat end to the window if we don’t get him in. The injuries to Mount and Mainoo, along with the sale of Fred, make it even more important.

I have a feeling we will sign him today, on loan with a buy option.

Exactly why you have people like Romano doing so many updates, because people are impatient children and need constant news. Then those same people complain that the likes of Romano keep updating with no new info!

Sky bet have him at 1/4 to join us and 11/4 to stay at Fiorentina, also Liverpool at 16/1 for some reason

I guess the fact he’s out of contract is the issue with regards to loaning now buy later. He’d have to sign a 1 year extension I’m assuming?

If they are our only incomings today I can't imagine people will be very happy...

It's deadline day mate. There needs to be constant updates or it means things aren't happening. Not sure you're aware but there's just over 13 hours left.

In fairness, a lot of that is down to the media and internet conditioning us all.

This is one of the main reasons I want this deal to happen. This dude really want to play for us. I think he will become a fan favorite by the end of the season.
McT is our own and really wants to play for us.. the caf doesnt care.

Amrabat is average.. plays for a mid table Serie A side. Everyone will want him gone in 12 months when a new shiny toy appears in the market.

That said, if ETH really did tell him to wait and we don't bid now, ETH is a colossal dick.. but we already know that.

If we dont get him it should be a sackable offense by our manager. No coming back from this.
