I kind of feel like Ole is the natural state they're always gravitating back towards and have to be dragged elsewhere. I feel like we've gradually looked better and more organised over the 4 games. I think if we played against Arsenal as we did against Wolves we would have been destroyed.
Agreed. Just a little disappointed at the moment as I expected us to be much better than what we are so far.

The back four isn't ideal but I am very excited about that front six. I think we dominated most teams with that front six. Add Shaw and Varane in place of Dalot and Lindelof (maybe Mason for Eriksen) and I'd back us against anybody.

I like your thinking. I think Mount will be back and I'd maybe run him out right and put Bruno in the middle spot. Dalot did very well the other night I thought. I'd keep him in too.

Bruno on the right is god awful. How many times do we have to go through this.

I think the line-up given injuries is...
    Onana
    AWB Casemiro Dalot Reguilon
    McT Eriksen
    Bruno
    Pellistri Hojlund Rashford

Probably not, but simply discounted Mount, Amrabat, Martinez, Varane, Lindelof, Amad and Mainoo because of injuries.
Sancho and Antony out because of off-field behaviour.
    Maguire, meh...
Martial seems unfit and didn't do enough compared to Hojlund in the last game.

I never thought of this but Mount might actually be decent on the right wing. I wouldn't be against trying that. But please not in the middle again together with Bruno.

According the a lot of Chelsea fans (also here) he definitely should not be played as a winger.

Ok, never seen him there. He's basically useless then. Or play him as 10, but that would mean Bruno on the right which isn't good either.

Personally I’m willing to give him more than two matches before calling him useless. But he probably is better higher up the pitch. I’m confident he’ll hit good form sooner rather than later. Not every single player hits the ground running from the first minute at a new club.

Where’s the evidence we will beat the highest scoring team in the league ?
Because we totally neutralized better team in Arsenal (until all the injuries and subs near the end) ? People act like Brighton is a fecking prime Barcelona ffs, snap out of your misery and pessimism for once!

It's fun finally having the forum privileges to be involved in match day discussions, and there's even no limitation on number of posts you can make!

Brighton have had our number for some time now(3 straight PL losses), but I have a feeling we're going to get them this time finally, at Old Trafford, where we play better. I hope that squad will get healthier(especially center backs). I don't know what's going to happen with Antony, that situation is unclear to me. This might disrupt the team. Is he getting suspended? Who is going to play on the right wing?

Can't wait for this game. Hate international brakes, and not a fan of international football in general.

Cant see ETH starting Pellestri in a PL game so I reckon Rashford will be thrown out RW.

Add Shaw, Varane and Mount in there and its pretty much our strongest 11. Not mentioned Antony as its likely he will be suspended pending investigations.

I haven't followed Martinez situation, will he be available, was injury nothing serious?

People might not act like it if you say so but have you forgotten about our mystical ability to make any team look like the second coming of prime Barcelona?

Agreed. If we go in with the goal of neutralising Brighton and aim for a point at home, we may even be able to get a smash-and-grab win.

Only thing I'm looking forward to is seeing an actual CF start for us for the first time in an eternity.

If everyone is fit, I'd like us to start with this for both Brighton & Bayern:

    Onana
    Wan-Bissaka Lindelof Martinez Dalot
    Casemiro Amrabat
    Bruno Eriksen Rashford
    Hojlund

If Varane is fit I'd play him obviously, but I'd feel he's unlikely to make it. Someone said Amrabat's back injury could keep him out until the end of the month? Hoping that isn't the case.

Some will bash me for saying this, but with how this season has started I'm kind of treating Brighton and Bayern as our final pre-season games... I'd expect us to kick on and win at least 5/6 after those games and not lose any at that, until we play City.

Our home form has been largely excellent and we haven't lost in all competitions there for pretty much a year. I'd be disappointed if we don't beat Brighton, but it will be a tough game for sure.

Blimey. Well, let's just be organised, and defend well. I'll take a draw now, boring 0-0 would be fine, but this will be a tough game.

However... let's give them something to think about. It's Man Utd ffs. Play Rash-Rasmus-Garnacho and just give their back four, five, whatever, absolute hell for 90+ mins. If they do that, and we lose, then fine. I'll take that.

Those players are still injured. What makes you think we’ll have a healthy starting 11- Antony will be gone as well, I thought he actually had a fine game.

We could win, of course we can but for you to make a sure fire statement we will makes no sense.

Are they? I was told Martinez is not injured and will be available, so will Lindelof.

If we have to start Maguire and Evans, I hope Brighton is merciful with the abundances of chances they will be gifted and let us off with a respectable 0-2 defeat.

But if somehow we have nearly all hands on deck, something like this...

    Onana
    AWB Varane Martinez Dalot
    Casemiro Amrabat
    Bruno Mount Rashford
    Hojlund

...we can dream of a win.

But we have to get our shit shorted out between Onana and our back line to have any hope of beating sides like Brighton.

It's Brighton not Brazil1970. They've recently been turned over by West ham at home.

    Just so I'm clear.

Fati making his debut vs. United.
Ferguson's first game after a hattrick.
    Mitoma being Mitoma.

    We're gonna get beaten.
Good record at home and we did well vs Arsenal away until Maguire and Evans had to cover. Have faith, Amrabat and Hojlund are at our disposal.

Ferguson is current injured by the way, not completely sure if he's fit by then.

Kind of torn because the way to win against them is what WHUM did and just counter them but then I feel we should be able to actually play some football against them and contest the possession battle.

Lets hope we get Linde and Licha back for this. If its Maguire and Evans we could be beaten by a tennis score.
I think Bruno and Antony could do with a bit of bench time.

    Onana
    AwB - Lindelöf - Martinez - Dalot
    Amrabat - Casemiro
    Eriksen
    Pellistri - Højlund - Rashford
Can’t see our best player being benched. Bruno 100% starts if fit.

I was acceptable in the eighties
We’re winning this convincingly, with a few heart attacks along the way

Rasmus will be fired up on his debut and the whole team should be also after the Arsenal debacle.

Pellestri might be the only option on the right and I’m fine with him starting. Amrabat will start on the bench. The biggest worry is the centre half situation.

I’m expecting a high intensity performance and 3 United goals.

3-1 to United and then a run of very winnable games until we hit City.

Well I’m guessing Amrabat will definitely miss this, was hoping he would play for Morocco to get some fitness. We are cursed it seems. Can see Brighton beating us comfortably with the injuries we are carrying and inability to score many and not concede.

Pray no further injuries whilst in internationals.

Just a shit show right now with this club.

First games are difficult for players.
    Mitoma is overrated.
West Ham beat them 3-1 at Brighton. They are a tidy side who play good football but they ain’t Brazil!

West Ham shithoused it with <20% possession. I don't think we'll sit back, absorb pressure and hope to knick a draw at Brighton.
