Third Pakistani wicket lost to a pointless shot.

Red Card for Casemiro!
Captain Babar Azam and Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq were given freedom and support in forming the squad for the ICC World Cup 2023. Looking ahead, the board will make decisions in the best interest of Pakistan cricket based on the team's performances in the World Cup.
This PCB statement that came out a day ago encapsulates the state of Pakistan cricket right now.

Really frustrating from Babar. He gets 50s quite regularly but struggles to convert them into a big score.

I don't think there's much of a problem with this format as there is with the quality of teams. Like some have touched on before, England being awful reduces the quality by quite a bit and where there should be only 2 teams capable of causing upsets, you could add Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to those as both are quite weak. Pakistan are Pakistan. That leaves 4 quality teams - the hosts, serial chokers, the serial winners and serial semi finalists. Also West Indies should be at every world cup.

If South Africa win here is that basically the group stages finished in terms of intrigue over who will qualify?

Are we going to have about 20 dead rubbers?

Surprisingly pleasant to watch. It’s not that hot in the stands. Just the three stands which were on public sale are packed. Rest are about half full
Enjoy mate. Hopefully you'll see a PAK victory.

Big issue is the lack of depth in Pakistan's batting isn't it. Get Babar and RZA and there isn't much left really. It's a shame because they've got a good bowling lineup (although not as strong as it would be if Naseem was in it).

Yeah. It's hard to get past the fact that very few countries are taking 50 seriously atm, which means the players aren't getting proper exposure. England and Australia should both be better than they are, but they haven't got a settled side at all.

If Pak had a couple of quality spinners, this score would be really really good.
280-300 should still be a good score..

Need a good fielding performance here and build some pressure to back the bowlers. Try and force some mistakes.

Markram on form is one of the most pleasing batsman to watch.

I was just saying to myself that SA just need to bat the overs.

Then Miller smashes his third ball for 6

If there is an award for the worst captaincy, Babar would definitely win it. Go for the kill and he brings on Usama Mir (Again)

If any team can snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory, it's got to be South Africa.
